    Do it!!
My wife and I spent part of our 25th Anniversary with Matt and the Blue Tongue team touring Melbourne on e-bikes! We could not have enjoyed it more. The sights were incredible and the local guide was knowledgeable and personable. We highly recommend for anyone wanting to see a lot of this city in a short amount of time, as well as learn about its amazing history. The e-bikes make the ride easy and the bike lanes and route are safe. Perfect for cruise ship excursions on your own.

See Melbourne by E-Bike....Simply the best!!
What an awesome experience with bike tour owner Freddie! Following up on a walking tour from the previous day, this was a great opportunity to explore and buzz through the city beyond the immediate center, by way of beautiful parks, historical sites and wonderful neighborhoods. The e-bikes were top notch, easy to manage and very intuitive for anyone who has ridden a geared bike. Enjoyed the easy pace of the tour and Freddie’s stops provided an insightful and fascinating narrative on the history of this great city and its people. Mixing in a good dose of Aussie humor, Freddie made this a perfect “10” ride!

    Great day in the saddle.
The electric bikes felt and looked like new, so they were great to ride. Freddy our guide was great and gave us plenty of historical info along with sport. It was a great couple of hours and we got to see plenty of Melbourne. Would recommend this tour to anyone who can ride a bike

    Melbourne highlights from a bike
Great way to enjoy the highlights of Melbourne and learn the background from a knowledgeable guide. I took my kids on the classic Melbourne tour and thought it was fabulous - didn't want to finish. Thanks Freddy!

    Excellent tour and guide
I booked the E bike because being more mature I thought the hills might be a challenge and didn't want to hold up the group. I needn't have worried as the tour was quite refreshing and the 5 hills on the tour were easily ridden using the gears. Matt was an excellent guide, very informed and paced the ride so that all riders were comfortable, and we enjoyed a great lunch at a fun restaurant. I would highly recommend this tour to others as a great way of getting an informed overview of the CBD area.

    Freddy is a legend
Couldn't have asked for a better tour. Freddy is an absolute legend and we got to see some great venues we never would have ventured out to on our own. The perfect way to spend an afternoon in Melbourne.

A great way to see Melbourne
Fantastic tour and wonderful company. We came off a ship that was unable to dock because of fog. From my first text, our tour managers were flexible and pushed us back an hour to make sure we got the full experience. The tour route is terrific, even as we navigated city street bike lanes. We did get a bit stretched out at times, but Matt never left anyone behind. Matt knows his Melbourne facts and gave us tons of info and background on the city. I'm taking one star off because the e-bikes were really jumpy and one of our party had brakes that were "metal on metal" and too soft. We're all e-bike owners and riders, so this isn't a case of user inexperience. Lunch in Fitzroy was fantastic. Overall, a great tour!

'Fantastic day out' with brilliant guide 'Freddy'. This is the way to see the city of Melbourne. Great bikes, professional guide
A great way to see Melbourne, loads of info, history, this fun professional trip on electric bikes is a must. 'Freddy' our guide made it so interesting. Great stop offs, advice, photo opportunities for all the sights and some hidden gems. Lunch at ' Naked for Satan' really good and time for catch up and bit of 'craic' as they say in Ireland. I Highly recommend this bike company & Freddie as your guide.

I can not recommend this bike tour highly enough. Freddy was very knowledgeable about Melbourne and it's history - he made this tour very enjoyable. I don't normally like guided tours, but am thrilled that I didn't let that stop me from taking this tour. The bike route itself was very pleasant and an easy ride. Freddy was very safety conscious - so if you have never ridden in a city before, this is the way to try it out. The pace was great - allowing us to chat with the other members of the tour, which added even more to my enjoyment.

Matt was our tour leader and he certainly knew his facts. I learned a lot about the history of Australia, Melbourne and the people that live there. He was also very entertaining, full of fun stories with many question and answer stops at historical sites. The bikes were very comfortable and the 5 climbs on the trip easy thanks to excellent gears on the bikes. Very special lunch place in Fitzroy. A must tour if you want to see Melbourne and soak in it’s history! Highly recommended.

Despite a forecast of bad weather and actual rain we had a great time on this bike tour. Informative, Fun and well planned this is among the best of city bike tours I have enjoyed. They pick a great spot for lunch and it all goes off without a hitch. Highly recommend for a great experience.

Matt was a wonderful tour guide. The bikes were perfect for the slightly hilly terrain (5 slight hills). The 4 hour, 10 mile ride allowed for several stops for history and local color. This is the ideal thing to do on your first day in Melbourne so you can go back to visit some places in detail.

Matt, our guide (pictured), was so knowledgeable and fun! We covered 9-10 miles of the city, met really nice people from all over, and had a delicious lunch at an off-the-beaten track, cool restaurant called Grub. I really don't think we would have seen or known about many of the attractions without this tour.
The bikes have a very comfortable seat, and I would say that almost everyone is capable riding at this level (easy).

I booked the tour from the site of Freddy, beware if you buy it through TA, it will cost you more.
Generally the city is very nice by bike. Freddy did a good tour trying to monitor 10 people.
I very much enjoyed the tour of the parks.
The only drawbacks are: a) bikes a are not too comfortable, b) no time is given for photos, the lunch could be omitted in order to give more time for photos and watching the sites, c) a little bit overpriced.

This was a great tour! Freddy took us around to some of Melbourne's highlights, from the cricket grounds to Chinatown, and detailed their history with plenty of humor. We stopped at a delicious Italian restaurant on Brunswick street for lunch and a beer (entrees there were about $15 per person). Overall, it was an excellent way to get to know the city!

I give the lads at Freddie’s bike tours a 4.5 rating.
Matt was very informative of Melbournes history and quirky too. I’ve done 3 bike tours around Australia and this is the first company that appears to have taken pride in their bikes. They’re well maintained and helmets were in good condition too.
My only negative is.... there wasn’t any time for pictures. The ice lolly at the end was really appreciated. Thanks guys

We usually look for a bike tour when we visit cities and this is my favorite. Matt was an excellent guide. Extremely informative and also has a good sense of humor. Melbourne is a bike friendly city and the tour was primarily on paths without cars and through many beautiful parks. It is a great way to get a good overview of the city.
