We had the most incredible day visiting Phillip Island, and the experience was made even better by our fantastic guide, Fiona. From start to finish, she was knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, ensuring we got the most out of the trip.
The Penguin Plus viewing platform was a highlight. It offered an up-close and unobstructed view of the adorable little penguins making their way home at sunset. Fiona’s insights into the penguins’ behaviors and the island’s wildlife added so much depth to the experience. She was attentive to everyone’s questions and made sure we all had a great spot to enjoy the spectacle.
The itinerary was well-planned, with enough time to explore other beautiful spots on the island before the main event. Fiona’s passion for the region and its wildlife shone through, making the trip both educational and fun.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbourne—especially with Fiona as the guide. It’s an unforgettable experience, and the Penguin Plus platform is worth every penny for its stunning views and intimate feel. Thank you, Fiona, for making it such a memorable day!

Chris (Kiwi) was fabulous! Had so much interesting information about the history of Melbourne, animals of the region, etc. during the ride from Melbourne to Phillip Island. He was also very considerate about how late this excursion returns and making sure we all got back safely to where we were staying. The penguins were so fun to watch, especially the babies trying to get food from whomever they could, even if it wasn't their parent. Although the day started off warm, I highly recommend bringing warm clothing as the temperature gets quite cool in the evening. Bring long pants, long sleeve top, and maybe even a puffer jacket. fabulous activity. I highly recommended it!

Our guide Fiona was wonderful-she had great recommendations and told us the best place to stand to watch the penguins. We booked the Penguin Plus package which gave us the best views with the smallest crowds. Overall the penguin is experience is well worth the 10 hour round trip journey (which includes also a koala conservation tour and a few other stops).

Fantastic island. We went for the penguins. So cute. At sunset, hundreds of them came from the sea onto the beach to look for a place to sleep. We also went to the zoo to see the kangaroos and koala up close. We also went to the cliffs with breathtaking views.

Everything as described. Our guide Vicky was exceptional, a perfect person and above all told us every detail about the trip. From the safety regulations on the bus to the things we saw. I recommend bringing some heavy sweaters, the wind and cold in the evening is really a lot. Spectacular visit to the koala reserve and of course the penguin show. Bus is the top with a USB socket for charging, clean and comfortable. Vicky made us feel at home

This was a truly great day out and unique in our experience.
The Koala Sanctuary was excellent, being able to see Koalas very close up with several wallabies just jumping around!
A stop off at Cowes for an early dinner gave a choice of some very good restaurants. (Try Nat’s - a highly rated fish and chip shop - well worth it!)
The highlight of the trip was the Penguin Parade where we were able to watch hundreds of them come ashore and then waddle up the beach, literally feet from us!
The trip itself was so well led by Fiona who is passionate about wildlife and the environment and provided our group with so much useful background information for our memorable day. The best tour guide we have had during our trip to this fascinating country!

The whole day was amazing! Fiona is super enthusiastic and informative and made sure to give everyone as much time as they needed to enjoy the experience — as well as share some helpful tips to get the most out of the day! And the bus has free WiFi! While trip lasted about 10 hours from start to finish and there are four key drop off points back in Melbourne for wherever you need to get back to that night. 10/10 would recommend for all anima lovers looking to see and learn more about Australian wildlife!

Amazing day. We saw 10 koalas close up and several were awake. Then the penguin plus viewing platform was well worth the money as we were front and center for the parade and away from the mass of people. Fiona was so passionate and lovely. Thank you!!

What an amazing experience! We took our two kids (5 & 3) and they absolutely loved every moment of it. Fiona our guide was knowledgeable and hands down made the experience fantastic with her warmth and humour. Tips: make sure to have warm clothes no matter what time of year and if you’re traveling with kids have them nap on the drive out.

A wonderful chance to get out of the city and see some of the wildlife. The tour is well run and went to schedule. Good job, Vicky, Great opportunity to see koalas in a natural environment at the koala conservation centre. Good choice of places to dine in Cowes followed by an amazing time on the beach watching the penguins come in for the night, would thoroughly recommend.
