This should be on your itinerary
This tour exceeded expectations. Paul was extremely well organised and proved to be a very courteous and knowledgeable guide. The Healesville Sanctuary was brilliant. This organisation is to be commended for it’s approach to animal husbandry and conservation. We were lucky enough to have the fabulous Geoff as our tour guide. Geoff had an encyclopaedic knowledge of native Australian wildlife. The lunch at Yering Station matched the amazing scenery.

Wonderful day at the Yarra Value.
This may be one of the more expensive Yarra Valley tours but it was well worth it. There were only three of us in the new comfortable Mercedes Van so we were able to received great personal attention from our wonderful guide Garth . The Healesville sanctuary was much bigger than I expected with lots of native animals , birds and reptiles to see. The lunch at Yearing Station was five star in a very modern restaurant with a great view. The Wine and cheese tasting was most enjoyable and we even ended the day with a nice drive through the countryside where we saw several kangaroos in the wild. If you want to do the Yarra Valley but don’t fancy spending a day in a bus with 30 other tourists then pay the little bit extra for this tour. It was a memorable experience.

Yarra Valley Wildlife and Wine Day Tour
We thoroughly enjoyed our Yarra Valley Wildlife & Wine Day Tour with Paul. The Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary provided a wonderful opportunity to see and learn about Australian wildlife. In fact, our experience there far surpassed that of subsequent visits to the rain forests in Kuranda & Daintree, in terms of being able to closely observe native Australian animals. From the Sanctuary, we traveled to the Yering Station Restaurant for lunch. The restaurant is lovely, and its setting, idyllic. Our lunch entrees and accompanying wine were outstanding. After lunch, we walked to the Yering Station Cellar Door for a tasting of some of their storied wines. Following our time at Yering Station, we traveled down the road to the De Bortoli Yarra Valley Estate for a wine & cheese pairing. Both tastings were very well done. The wine & cheese pairing was the perfect finale to such a lovely day. We are grateful to Paul for all he did to make it so. He was beyond pleasant, engaging and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Melbourne!

A Must Do All day Wine & Lunch Tour
We truly enjoyed ourselves, as the day was nicely paced with plenty of time at each of the five vineyards we visited. We enjoyed learning about the grapes used to make each vineyards wine offerings. Lunch at Yerring Station was fabulous with lots of regional dishes to choose from in a beautiful scenic setting. A special treat was having Cam as our wine guide. He’s well known at the wineries we visited and he freely shared his years of wine experience with us throughout the day. We highly recommend the Yarra Valley all day wine with lunch tour.

        A memorable tour
Garth was wonderfully entertaining and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to create a great tour. From arranging personal guides at the Healesville Sanctuary, to personalized wine tasting tours at the best wineries in the Yarra Valley, arranging a sumptuous lunch, to a fun running commentary on the history of the area and tidbits on the wildlife unique to Australian. Don’t miss out

A personable Yarra Valley experience with Paul
Overall it was a pleasant experience visiting the various vineyards in Yarra Valley. Started with a clear pre-pickup information, I joined the other visitors for the day trip. A small group of us were chauffeured and guided around Yarra Valley by Paul. The tour covers various types of vineyard and styles of wines. It also include a delicious lunch at a very scenic restaurant. Paul did a great job and I would highly recommend this Vinetreker tour.

        Great Tour
This was a fantastic tour. Cam was very professional and friendly. Myself and the whole tour group had a good time. I took the Koala experience and it was a really great one with wonderful photos and videos! The scenic views of Yarra Valley were beautiful and a great way to get to see more than just the city. The lunch, wine and cheese pairing were phenomenal as well. I highly recommend this tour if you want beautiful scenery, animal encounters, great wine, tasty food and a friendly atmosphere.

        A wonderful small group tour.
The Mornington Peninsula winery tour with Cam was very informative and we went to some lovely wineries. We had some beautiful wine tasting, cheese and lunch choices in a very small group. Perfect for a lovely day trip to get out of the city. A very convenient service organising the wine purchases to be mailed home too. Highly recommended.

Don’t miss this fab wine tasting and lunch trip
What a fantastic day with Paul. Picked up at our hotel in a comfy Mercedes sprinter with water on hand. First stop was Healesville sanctuary where we saw Koalas, kangaroos and so much more. A really nice place. Paul provided a tour guide to take us round the Sanctuary which was really helpful. After 2 hours we were picked up by Paul who took us to lunch at Yering Station. I had Kangaroo which was some of the finest cooked meat I have tasted - highly recommended. My wife had pork which was also excellent. All washed down by a lovely glass of wine. After lunch we visited the winery for some tastings. The staff there were very good. My final taste was an equivalent of a port - can call it port as not made in Portugal. That cliched it and two bottles bought. Our last visit to another winery was also very good with wine and cheese to accompany each wine. Very good. We then headed home to our hotel. Thanks Paul. A great day out and worth every penny 👍

        Wonderful day
We had a really enjoyable day during this trip. What made it was our host Rob who went out of his way all day long to make this a wonderful experience. The wildlife sanctuary was a great way to see the local animals and the lunch was delicious. Wine tasting was also a great experience with really friendly hosts at both wineries. I would highly recommend this trip. We all had a blast.

Had an incredible Yarra Valley food & wine tour today with Paul at Vinetrekker. The tour itself was absolutely premium, with the best selection of wines, snacks along the way and a sensational lunch. Paul was a superstar from star to finish with fantastic communication and knowledge on all things wine and yarra valley.

The wineries selected were exceptional and none that I'd visited before, and the lunch options at Yering station were superb. Paul recommended the kangaroo and after some initial reluctance, I said I'd have it as well - and im so glad I did. It was a highlight of the experience and cooked to perfection.

Top tip: support local businesses and book directly on the vinetrekker website!

Even though it rained in the morning, it didn't interfere with our tour in the slightest as it was mostly indoors. So rain or shine, you can visit any time of the year :)

Thank you Paul for such a wonderful day out!! As a born and raised melbournian it was such a new and lovely experience.

Thank you Tina S for your review and thrilled to read what a fantastic day you had. We pride ourselves on offering a quality experience that exceeds the expectations of our guests. The vineyards we visit are selected because of the experience, service and wines they offer and we're pleased they hit the mark with you. Lunch at Yering Station is a delight and the kangaroo dish is a staff favourite. Thanks again for supporting us, it really means a lot as we emerge from a challenging 2020.

Shane was our driver and guide and gave an informative talk of the history of Melbourne before we arrived at the first stop where one of the guests was dropped off for his tour at the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary. While there a koala was spotted nestled in a tree near the entrance. We left for our first Wine tasting at Coldstream Hills which was founded by James Halliday, where we enjoyed a range of wines from their wonderful sparkling to pinot noir and other reds. From there we went to the stunning Medhurst Winery. We loved every wine we tasted. There was cheese, humus and olives to compliment the wines. The next wine house was Domain Chandon with a generous pour of two sparkling wines made by the same “méthode traditionnelle” as their famous Champagne House, Moët & Chandon. The next stop was Yering Station Vineyard where in addition to an extensive tasting we had a wonderful à la carte lunch with our choice of wine. The last tasting was at De Bertoli Wines where in addition to tasting their top wines including a 2011 Noble One the wines were paired with cheeses. This was one of the best wine tours we have had. Shane was an excellent tour guide explaining the origins and significance of the each winery as well as the history of this wine growing region. To top it off we saw kangaroos in amongst the cattle in the paddock on the way back to Melbourne. The day went by very quickly but we never felt rushed. Take this wine tour. You will not be disappointed.

Hello there Sandra and thanks for taking the time to review your Yarra Valley Wine and Food Daytour. We're delighted to hear how much you loved the day and that it rates as one of the best tours you've taken. Having a caring and interested guide can elevate the day from good to great and there's no doubting the passion and energy that Shane brings to the day. He'll go the extra yard to search for kangaroos, an added extra for his international visitors. Thanks for recommending us, we greatly appreciate it.

Our wine and food day tour to the Yarra Valley was just sensacional. We explored the Yarra Valley in company of Paul who was the best tour guide and another couple visiting from Sydney. In overall, we were able to visit 4 different wineries and had a wine and cheese tasting in the first stop. Furthermore, we had 3 more wine tastings and an exquisite lunch in a beautiful restaurant with a breathtaking view of the winery. During the tour we also managed to stop by a wine seller where we had the fifth wine tasting. I do have to admit that the quality of wine we tried were very good. We were able to try some merlot, sangiovese, sauvignon blanc and sparkling wine among others. In fact it was very interesting trying a new grape called Gamay which I enjoyed a lot. Additionally, the bus used for the tour was very clean, the A/C worked perfectly well and it was just fit for a small group. In overall, we had a 10 hour tour which felt like a lot less because we had a great company, excellent wine tasting and food and most important we were not rushing and felt safe. We even had time to make some quality shopping and benefited from a 10% in all the stores. Finally, I am glad I selected this tour because it was money well spent, very professional service, no rush, no stress of a large group in the middle of pandemic and Paul was so nice and professional it is always a plus to have a tour guide that is so kind.

What a lovely review Alexandraleiva and thanks so much for your kind words. We're delighted you had such a positive experience touring the Yarra Valley and that Paul took such good care of you. We're fussy about the condition of our vehicles and believe they're the best quality for public tours in Melbourne. Delighted too that you got to taste a wide range of wines and loved the lunch. It was a pleasure to have you travel with us and we really appreciate the support you afforded us. All the best and we hope to see you again soon.

What a tour! Our guide, Paul, picked us up in Melbourne and whisked my husband and me (along with 6 other people) off to the Yarra Valley for a day of tastings and treats. Paul entertained us (Americans, Aussies and Europeans) with his knowledge of wine on the drive to our first vineyard that started off with great wine and a delicious cheese tasting. Paul knew his wine as well as the vineyard owners, getting us access to private rooms and boutique wineries along with a behind the scene tour of Domaine Chandon Winery. And the Yering Station lunch! Amazing food, amazing views paired with amazing wine! We still talk about this tour and would do it again with Paul as our guide in a heartbeat. Don’t miss out on the Yarra Valley Wine & Food tour with lunch at Yering Station!

Our tour is a lot more than providing transport and overseeing the wine tastings at the respective vineyards. We have a lot of relevant knowledge to share with our guests that can only elevate their experience. To know that you'd take the tour again in a heartbeat vindicates the quality and vlue of our tour. We were picked up from Melbourne by our knowledgable guide Rob who gave us a fascinating history of Melbourne as we drove to the Yarra Valley. We started at De Bortoli with a delicious cheese-paired wine tasting. Then we moved on to Yering Station where we tasted more wines and had a fantastic à la carte lunch with more wine included overlooking a fantastic view of the mountains. Next up was Payten & Jones where we tried a delicious selection of wines including a skin-contact wine and a vermouth to finish. We then headed to Oakridge winery which boasted a great view and a lovely selection of red and whites. We finished up at Medhurst who kindly welcomed us into their beautiful property and were guided through a tasting by their very own winemaker Simon. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience, and Rob our guide really was fantastic.

Thanks benjaminbN6583ZJ for taking the time to review your recent Yarra Valley Wine and Food Daytour and delighted you had such an awesome experience with Rob. Travelling mid-week is definitely the way to go as the venues are much quieter than on weekends and staff have more time to interact. Rob is a very generous guide who cares for his guests and works hard to ensure they have the best possible experience. It was a pleasure to have you travel with us and we look forward to showing you the Mornington Peninsula and the Macedon Ranges.

The day was supposed to start with 7 passengers but at pickup there was just "me".
Most fortuitous that the other passengers cancelled and provided me with a private tour. It's funny how things can work out and travelling does throw up some wonderful experiences. My very knowledgeable tour guide Rob, provided me with a great one on one guided tour of the selected vineyards & beautiful surrounding landscapes - some wineries large, some small and each with their signature wines. Lunch at Yering Station was a' la carte and equal to any fine dining I have experienced.
I have some wonderful wines heading my way to Hervey Bay Qld so whilst enjoying the wines I will have great memories of the day I purchased them.

Lovely to hear from you RotarianGuest2020 and thanks for taking the time to review your private Yarra Valley Wine and Food Daytour. What good fortune to end up on your own and having Rob escort you for the day. Not surprised you had such a great day and have some wonderful wine being sent home. Thanks for choosing to travel with us and we'll look forward to having you travel with us again when you're next in Melbourne. All the best and enjoy the wine.

Excellent Day Trip! Shane was our tour guide. He was excellent! He gave us information on each winery visited. Each winery had excellent presentation by their staff and were able to give further information on each wine presented. We visited the De Bortoli Winery, Yearing Station, Chandon, Coldstream Hills, Medhurst Winery. Had a great lunch at Yearing Station. Shane, our guide, made sure everyone had a great time and were well informed. Great tour!

Great to hear from you B2578NVvickib and thanks for the review of your recent Yarra Valley Wine and Food Daytour. Shane is a wonderful guide and works so hard to engage with his group, share information and generally create a great atmosphere within the group. There's no doubting the quality of the wine and food, it's something we're very focused on. Thanks for supporting us, we greatly appreciate it.

Contact with the company was very good and they were organised to the point of being punctual. Our tour guide, Rob, was very knowledgeable about both the wine industry, the vineyards and the overall region.
The day was well planned and we had both a wine and cheese/food experience. Taking in 5 different wineries for a varied experience at each made the day interesting and talking points between all of us on the tour.
Overall it was a fabulous day out and wouldn't hesitate to do this tour again next time we are back, or recommend to friends/family (or others) to do the same.

Thanks X6536LWjacquim for taking the time to review your recent wine and food tour and delighted to hear it would be something you'd be happy to take again. Having an engaging guide such as Rob goes a long way to making the day memorable as does the selection of vineyards visited. It was a pleasure to have you travel with us and thanks for the support.

The whole tour was excellent. Paul made the day as he provided unexpected commentary during the drive to the vineyards and back about the yarra valley and Melbourne as a whole.

We honestly could not choose one favourite part of the trip as we loved every experience but some stand out bits were the VIP cheese and wine tasting room at De Bertoli (our first stop) and the lunch at Yering station was unreal!

It was great to stop at Payten & Jones for a real mix up of the vibe.

I couldn't recommend this trip enough and when my family and friends visit us in Melbourne, I'll certainly be booking them on Paul's tour. Thanks Paul!

Ps... we also took a group pic at the end and we're very blessed to meet such a wonderful group of people on the tour.

Oh and we saw some Roos!

From Rob picking us up we had an amazing day.Rob was friendly, considerate and extremely informative. The vineyards themselves were extremely welcoming and set in amazing countryside. They didn’t rush the tours and answered many questions that day. The wine we bought there didn’t last too long once we got back to the hotel but was delicious. Rob’s efforts of going off track to find a wild Kangaroo was appreciated .

Thank you allowaybill for taking the time to review your Yarra Valley Wine and Food Daytour and delighted to hear what a magical day you had with Rob. He's an engaging guide who cares a lot for his guests and wants them to have the best possible experience. He'll go the extra yard to achieve this as demonstrated by his quest to find some kangaroos in the wild. You support was appreciated and it was a pleasure to have you travel with us.
