Average experience
May 2021 • Friends
Overall, the tour was average. The day felt slightly rushed. Lunch lasted only 45 minutes which also included a wine tasting. We stopped at the Balgownie Estate Winery for lunch but it was unfortunate to learn that their restaurant had burnt down in October 2020. Because of this, we had to have lunch in a corporate tent, which wasn’t ideal as we couldn’t enjoy the nice views/sunshine. We felt that the tour could’ve been changed to stop at a different winery for lunch. Having said this, the bus driver was personable and the wine tour company was very responsive with our requests and accomodating of our large group.

Toilet stop during the drive needed
May 2021 • Couples
Needing to go to the toilet used as a sense of urgency to drop us off quickly was the lowest point of the day. The driver passed numerous bathrooms and didn’t want to waste a minute on letting us relieve ourselves. Otherwise great day.

Chill-Out Wine Tours - an excellent day out
Enjoyed a full day Yarra Valley wine tour via Chill-Out Wine tours. We were collected on time by our driver for the day Ivan. Ivan’s knowledge of wine & the area we are in was excellent & the winery’s we visited were all fantastic.
Lunch was at “Soumah” and included in the price, very enjoyable. I would recommend Chill-Out Wine Tours for anyone looking to experience the Yarra Valley wine region. A great day out.

Guide Adam was awesome, he was very attentive to details to make sure the day went well. The lunch was beautiful and there’s quite a lot of tasting so good value. Bus got rowdy on the way back but that’s to be expected where alcohol is involved.

Perfection
Since lockdown, some friends and I have been touring some of the local areas that we have neglected for years. Whilst we have individualy have probably travelled to all these areas, it made a huge difference to have a guide and driver really showcase the area to the fullest.

It really is the way do it, even if you are a local.

Awesome day
Mar. 2021 • Solo
Had a great day with alot of wine tasting. We went to 4 wineries. Helen & Joey's estate, stunning views loved their wine. Balgownie estate, where we had lunch after wine tasting. Lunch was beautiful. Yering farm winery, lovely platters for $30 and loved their cider. Last winery Domaine Chandon great wines and food. All the wineries have stunning views.
Thanks to Adam our bus driver and guide. He really looked after us. Definately recommend this tour.

Such a good day out ✌️
Had a fantastic day with Gerry as our host. He was very funny and extremely knowledgeable about the area and Melbourne history.
The winery's were in beautiful settings, and all staff were extremely friendly.
Really enjoyed the boutique one, such a gorgeous cellar door😍

Lunch was also superb (I had the salmon)

Thanks everyone

Fantastic tour with Chris
Can’t recommend this tour highly enough; the tastings were well organised and hosted by very knowledgable staff and our guide Chris kept us all entertained (both at the wineries and on the bus between stops) with a perfect balance of local and industry knowledge, humour and stimulating wine chat. Lunch was also delicious. Overall great value for money and left our group of four considering returning to the exact same tour again in future! Thanks Chris and Aussie Wine Tour Co!

Chris (our tour guide) was AMAZING!!!! Our last winery we went to, the lady running the tasting was super rude and not helpful. Loved the other wineries though.
