Friendly staff, the best way to view the growing stature of Melbourne. It was fun only just scraping under the low bridges!!!

Very nice trip and a nice way to get to see the city. We did the two hour tour which is upstream and downstream. I would recommend just going upstream.

The boat was very nice, & it was fun to be on the water. We were told that it was a 2 hour tour, and we were dropped off after an hour. When we asked about it, we were told to come back in a half hour for the other hour trip. We would have preferred to have the same boat, and seats, for the whole 2 hours.

We did the NYE | Party Cruise - Over 40's Dec 31st 2024. We paid extra for the Adult Platinum Package $335.00 Per Person. First of all we queued for ages at one berth, only to be told it was a different berth for platinum - so then we queued up again..The boat & people were fun - but WOW such a waste of money food wise and drinks. The food was atrocious - cold unappealing, nibbles few and far between. The spirits - were negligible . Look the boat was fun, but as for paying $335 each for rubbish lack of food, and only sparking wine, so disappointed. 'IF' you're really wanting to do this - DON'T pay for platinum and secondly, seriously think if it's even worth your money at all.

Disappointing Experience with Rude Staff I regret to say that our experience on this boat was far from enjoyable. The staff were shockingly rude, displaying a complete lack of courtesy throughout the trip. Their attitude toward children was particularly appalling, treating them with clear contempt, which made the atmosphere very uncomfortable for families. Adding to the frustration, the boat left significantly later than scheduled, with no explanation or apology provided. This lack of professionalism and respect for customers’ time only added to the overall disappointment. I would not recommend this experience to anyone, especially families with young children. A serious overhaul in staff training and management is desperately needed.

Excellent experience, staff, food, lovely evening. Well worth doing with someone special. Great value for money, highly recommended.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas. The food was beautiful, plentiful and so much variety. The staff were so friendly. And the weather sure turned it on. Fantastic experience and we are already planning next year. Thankyou more than we can say.

We did a 2 hour cruise and it was one of the most boring things we did on our Australian holiday. They had this pre recorded voice giving us details of the sights, who we could not hear properly at all. Half the boat was open to the sky and it was 2 pm in the afternoon. Couldn't wait for it to get over. Terrible waste of money.

First things first, the booking lady at Booth#2 was pretty frustrated with herself and wasn't polite to anyone looking to buy the tickets. When I bought the tickets, I asked her a few questions and she surely appeared like she was doing a favour to me. Apart from that, the actual cruise wasn't bad but as there was a high tide, we ended up going outside the CBD so didn't get a chance to see the city how we wanted. It isn't bad and worth a trip if you have some time.

Booked for 6 people for a Christmas lunch. It was a very hot day (30degrees) but was not too hot. Staff were lovely and friendly and served continual drinks, never had to ask for a drink. Food was excellent. Would recommend.

Disappointed there was no choice/selection of food items. Platters were finger food items not breakfast/lunch items

It was a great way to see the city from a different angle. There is a lot of history as you sail down the river. It helps you understand the history of the city and the people that built it.

We were expecting a nice lunch and cruise up the Yarra River but it was far more than that! It was exceptional! Food was wonderful, extremely attentive and friendly staff, and great cruise seeing sights we hadn't seen before! We are planning on another one next year!

I would like to compliment the team at the Spirit of Melbourne. We had a company Christmas outing of 24 persons onboard. The meals - entre, mail and sweets were superb. They were brought out at timely intervals. There was a good range of alchoholic and non alchoholic drinks which were part of the package. We also opened a bar tab for the folks who wanted spirits. The catering crew was very attentive to our needs. The soundtrack being played during the voyage was good and just at the right volume level. The Skipper artfully avoided the rowers on the Yarra.
