Tim, the guide, was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and a conversationalist. You get quite a large number of tastings so you do get bang for your buck in my opinion, although don't expect any tours or walks through barns, storage sheds, or vineyards, or a demo of the wine-making processes, as pictured in the photos...imagine standard wine tastings at a table, and maybe a chance to walk around depending on time. The wineries we visited were Derwent Estate, Pressing Matters, Pooley Wines, and Every Man and His Dog. *The calamari at Wattlebanks was average - overcooked but still edible. We got about 10 minutes between ordering lunch and getting the food, which most of us used to go outside and look at the surrounding stores.

      Love whisky? Love this!
This is an awesome tour. We actually had a few gin drinkers on board, so bonus. Pete was an excellent guide. We stopped at Lark, Old Kempton, Derwent and Battery Point. Lark was a let down compared to the others with only one taste. The others were generous to a fault. The last two are babies by comparison but punched well above their weight. Totally worth it.

      Delicious & Delightful Experience!
It was a rainy day, but our guide/driver helped to make it a delightful experience. At the first winery we tasted 11 different wines which were accompanied by a variety of cheeses & crackers. The host explained each wine and answered questions. The second two wineries were not as personable as the first one, but the wines were good. The last winery was a great way to finish the day as we were served wines paired with on-site made chocolates.

Best wine tour I’ve been on
Highly recommend this tour, wineries we visited were amazing, at some of the wineries we had up to 11 tastings. , a great selection, something for everyone. Tim our tour guide was amazing, provided a lot of information on each winery over a coffee before the tour started. Lunch in Richmond was lovely.

      A wonderful 40th
We had the absolute best day on our whiskey tour. Emma, our guide, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and funny. She made sure we were all taken care of and having a great day. The staff at the distilleries were all very passionate & the whiskeys were delicious. I especially enjoyed Section 44 and meeting Raj. Lunch was an entire personal cheeseboard at Old Kempton Distillery which was delicious and Old Kempton was beautiful. Everyone in our party had such a wonderful time, & I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate my partner's 40th. Thanks so much to our amazing guide Emma! We will definitely do another tour with Drinks Tasmania next time we are visiting Tassy

      Great first day in Tasmania
Excellent in every way and exceeded all expectations. Our leader, Chris, was very helpful and knowledgeable and patient when we exceeded the projected time allotment. Our group, in spite of coming from 3 countries with an age span of 50 years, all seemed to have a great time. The wines tasted at 4 different wineries were all of very good quality.

      Be a wine Tasmaniac!!!
Small group, well-paced, 7 hour tour to 4 wineries with samples of more than two dozen wines. A cheese platter was served at the first stop, chocolate pairings at the last.

      Wine tour
Great tour with Ben and my fellow tour participants this weekend. Ben was very knowledgeable about wine and each of the wineries we visited. Two before lunch and two after lunch - we weren’t rushed and had plenty of time at each venue to sample the wines. Would happily go on another Drink Tasmania tour and recommend to others.

Tas was our driver and guide, who was informative, enthusiastic and helped make the day enjoyable. Start of the day was a coffee or tea at a local Cafe before heading off. All our stops were good, starting with Home Hill Winery which was a lovely place to look at the scenery and taste the wines. Pagan Cider was next, where there were some different but lovely ciders to try...Apple, Pear, Cherry, Blueberry and Quince. The last stop on the half day Tour was William Smiths Apple Shed for tastings and lunch (your expense) before heading back to Hobart.

An amazing experience, Peter, the tour operator,
was professional, knowledgeable, an amusing storyteller and went out of his way to make it an enjoyable journey for everybody on board for the day.
We saw the majestic Huon Valley and the lunch at Willie Smith’s was so good. I highly recommend the pork croquettes. Unfortunately I was too full to taste the apple pie and local distillery made pommeau.
All the venues we visited were very welcoming and provided great narratives about their origins and products.
    Very highly recommended.

Due to the snap covid lockdown in Victoria, the other guests in our group were forced to cancel their booking. Instead of cancelling the tour for us due to low numbers, we were met by Peter the owner and he took us around for an amazing memorable day. The beautiful natural surrounds of Hobart proved to be a fantastic place with great proximity to allow visiting so many places. The signature tour was really different in that we got a great chance to visit different producers and not only winery’s. I loved learning about the importance alcohol production had in Hobart over the last couple hundred years. Peter was a great tour guide with a friendly, relaxed and funny approach who made us feel welcomed. We loved this tour and would highly recommend if you are stopping in Hobart. Thanks Peter and drink Tasmania!

Went with a group of locals, not expecting to learn or try much new but have a nice day sightseeing around Tassie. Not only did we try lots of things we hadn’t come across, but also the guide (Peter) had a great candor that had us chatting with all the makers as if they were old friends. The locations were gorgeous, and they seemed to change things about the tour based on what people in the group liked (if you wanted that).

The full day was packed full of stuff to see, learn and try without feeling exhaustingly so. Lunch venue had great dietary-friendly options and all the venues also had equally fun non-alcoholic drinks if you wanted to pace yourselves, as well as stronger extras you could opt into if you wanted more.

Takeaways were a must, and we’d filled the Esky in the boot by halfway through. I would highly recommend this tour for all (adult) ages, locals and non-locals alike!

We had an outstanding day visiting the local producers facilities of wine, cider, whiskey and beer with an added sampling of vodka and Gin. The knowledge of Patrick (our guide) across these industries was exceptional and we come away from the day with a far better understanding of the time and effort it takes into producing all of these awesome Tasmanian products. I could not recommend this tour any more highly as it was a day to be remembered and we will encourage all our friends to go and do it.

Had an awesome day out on this tour. Our guide knew his stuff, was very friendly and good banter too. We also met two of their new staff members who were doing their induction on our tour, they were awesome too. Tour is well-paced, didn't feel rushed at all and even had time to take photos and have more tastings. The venues we went to were good choices and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hobart who lives a wine and/or cider!

Great way to taste Tassie's wine, beer, gin and whiskey.
The best part of the tour is getting to sample the limited edition and sold out the collection.
5 stars go to Tim our tour leader. Friendly, caring, passionate about alcoholic beverages and have a great knowledge of the history of Tassie and brewing place. I was a solo traveller and he looks after me very well. Great hospitality.
Surprise that there were two additional brewery places, was not part of the itinerary and had some of the greatest Whiskey, Gin and Vodka.
Would have given 5 stars if there was some snack provided/purchased between the tasting.
Lastly, If you have colour skin be prepare to experience xenophobia, especially being the only colour person and travelling solo in a group tour. We live in Australia people

We had a fantastic day, highly recommend the tour and Ben was an amazing tour guide.

Home hill wines was gorgeous and their wines were just beautiful, and the ciders at Punk were totally mind blowing. I really didn't think I would like cherry cider, but I really wish I could have it all the time, it was phenomenal. Having already been to the brewery we weren't terribly interested in their tastings, but the distillery was excellent.

The tour was easy to book, I had lots of communication reminding me of the tour and providing me with the days itinerary and where to meet and finding Ben on the docks was a sinch.

Our tour leader Tim's knowledge of everything Tasmanian (food, beverages & lifestyle) was mind-boggling and he was the major factor in all of our group enjoying this experience so much!
Each of the presenters at the various sites we visited were superb and very passionate about their craft!
Lunch at Willie Smiths Apple Shed was delightful!
With so many tastings on this tour it wise to discard the excess after tasting each offering.
Will highly recommend this tour to all our friends!
