      Love whisky? Love this!
This is an awesome tour. We actually had a few gin drinkers on board, so bonus. Pete was an excellent guide. We stopped at Lark, Old Kempton, Derwent and Battery Point. Lark was a let down compared to the others with only one taste. The others were generous to a fault. The last two are babies by comparison but punched well above their weight. Totally worth it.

Best wine tour I’ve been on
Highly recommend this tour, wineries we visited were amazing, at some of the wineries we had up to 11 tastings. , a great selection, something for everyone. Tim our tour guide was amazing, provided a lot of information on each winery over a coffee before the tour started. Lunch in Richmond was lovely.

      A wonderful 40th
We had the absolute best day on our whiskey tour. Emma, our guide, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and funny. She made sure we were all taken care of and having a great day. The staff at the distilleries were all very passionate & the whiskeys were delicious. I especially enjoyed Section 44 and meeting Raj. Lunch was an entire personal cheeseboard at Old Kempton Distillery which was delicious and Old Kempton was beautiful. Everyone in our party had such a wonderful time, & I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate my partner's 40th. Thanks so much to our amazing guide Emma! We will definitely do another tour with Drinks Tasmania next time we are visiting Tassy

      Wine tour
Great tour with Ben and my fellow tour participants this weekend. Ben was very knowledgeable about wine and each of the wineries we visited. Two before lunch and two after lunch - we weren’t rushed and had plenty of time at each venue to sample the wines. Would happily go on another Drink Tasmania tour and recommend to others.

      The best wine tour!
One of the best wine tours we have taken. Only 11 in the bus and a great group which made for a very enjoyable day. We went to 4 wineries with a vast range of wines available to taste as well as cheese and chocolates. The wineries provided a lot of information about the region and the types of wines that can be produced with the different soil types. The wine tasting was broken by lunch in a cafe in beautiful Richmond. Huge thanks to Kris our guide for making this day very special.

      A fantastic day
We had an amazing day given it was my birthday. The tour was great due to the variety of stops we had through the day. As for Drink Tasmania Premium Tours their service was fantastic our original tour was cancelled due to lack of numbers and they made sure we got onto the tour we took. Our driver was fantastic

      A fabulous day out
Highly recommend this tour. We were greeted by Gino and our group was taken for coffee for introductions and a briefing on the day. Despite the cold, dreary weather it was a perfect day to trawl vineyards. The small bus was very comfortable as well. We started at Derwent vineyard and tasted around 12 wines! It was accompanied with a lovely cheese platter. Our next stop was Pressing Matters, where we tasted 5 wines. We then stopped for lunch at a delightful cafe in Richmond and managed to duck down to their local chocolate shop. After that we went to Pooley wines and tried four or five different wines. Our final stop was a real highlight at Every Man and His Dog where we tried four wines with chocolate parings. Was a nice mix of people and really a great way to see a bit of Hobart’s picturesque countryside. Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys wine! Only thing to note is take a note pad so you can rate your wines. Derwent had a handy list for this purpose and I by far enjoyed this vineyard the most!

      Less wine, more about terrain/grape/process
Having 12 tastings at the first vineyard (Derwent) was generous but 6 with more info on grape varieties, process and surrounds would perhaps been more insightful. None of the 4 vineyards included time outside among the vines - unlike what your advertising pic hints at.

Great day out sampling some great Tasmanian wines. Patrick, our guide, had a wealth of knowledge about the wines and wine industry of Tasmania. There was a variety of vineyards on the tour from small boutique producers to larger wineries. A great introduction to a diverse range of Tasmanian grape varieties and their wines.

We had a great day exploring some fabulous wineries with Patrick, our guide. Such a fun and informative tour. Glad to say I am now a Pinot Noir and Riesling convert and look forward to drinking the delicious wines we bought. The wineries were all very different which added to the experience. Highly recemmend thank you!

A great day! Small group, visited 4 wineries and sampled about 30 wines - all small wineries that really showed off the variety of the region. Well organised and Patrick was both knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommended.

I cannot fault Drink Tasmania for our day! We spent the day with Katherine and it was her first solo tour. She was great, kept the group engaged all day and ensured every stop of the day was what the tour group wanted to do. Great informative sessions at Derwent Estate and Pressing Matters! The only negative to the day was within some of the wineries themselves, some felt less prepared, or less engaged with the group, this is in no way a reflection of the great day Drink Tas put on, however disappointed in the sessions put on by the likes of Pooley and Stefano Lubiana Wines!
Not a negative or a positive, but our only feedback to Drink Tas would be we were disappointed when we arrived in Richmond and went to a café for lunch when there was a great old heritage pub across the road! Way more fitting for a wine tour!! But otherwise a great day out.

Our host for the day, Ben, briefed us over a cuppa, we got to know others beforehand, sample group which is good. Great start! 4 tastings plus lunch (our cost). First one was 11 wines at Derwent Estate, totally unexpected but fantastic! Almost too many to fully appreciate to start with but some real gems amongst them. Then Merriworth, a small emerging place, very friendly & best value Pinot Noir in Tasmania😊 After lunch (at Pooley, no tasting other than what we chose & paid for ourselves), Domain A - totally different experience, not as “personal” however interesting, closing with a visit to Craigow - wow! Ben was a fantastic host, knowledgeable & interesting, not overbearing like some guides can be - highly recommended firm & tour 👍

Fantastic day out, tasting wine. Small group definitely the way to go. We were 7 but can be up to 11. Tim our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the vineyards we were visiting. Started the day all having coffee and introducing ourselves which really set the scene for the day. Great start at Derwent estate Vineyard where we tried 11 different wines, cheese and crackers were provided, the girl serving the wine was really friendly, letting us take our time and savouring the moment. Lovely sitting by the fire. Then it was on to a small boutique winery Merryworth, where the owner Mark hosted the wine tasting. It was lovely to hear his story and his passion for his wine. This was our favourite of the day and the best Pinot of the day. Lunch was at the Wattle bank cafe. Wonderful food, the salt and pepper squid fantastic. Pooley wines was the third vineyard and disappointing. We were really looking forward to Pooley as it had been recommended by a friend. We got to taste 4 wines, the guy serving seemed to be just going through the motions, felt more commercial, less of the personal touch. The last stop at Craigow was amazing. Barry the owner joined us in the wine tasting, very passionate about what he grows and what he likes. The sparkling Merlot is amazing. Absolutely fantastic trip well worth the money.

Thank you so much for this great review of our Tasmanian Wine Tour experience. It's so good to hear that you had a fantastic day out with us and our partnering venues. I'm sorry to hear that Pooley Wine wasn't the experience you had hoped for. I've been in talks with Pooley about this feedback, to improve on the experience. Their wines are world famous and we love working with the Pooley Team. Cheers, see you next time! Pete. P.S. We agree about the Salt & Pepper Squid - YUMMO!

Excellent in every way and exceeded all expectations. Our leader, Chris, was very helpful and knowledgeable and patient when we exceeded the projected time allotment. Our group, in spite of coming from 3 countries with an age span of 50 years, all seemed to have a great time. The wines tasted at 4 different wineries were all of very good quality.

Wow! What a day. From the first moment Ben made us all feel so comfortable, his knowledge of not just wine but Tasmania in general was fantastic. We went to a great selection of cellar doors and each and every one was great. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back again.
