This is a tour I will remember for a long time. Our small tour group grew closer and closer during the tour! Our guide Andrea found just the right balance of giving information, with breaks, time to marvel and enjoy, hikes at all levels and insider information. I have just completed the “famous 5 - 5 day tour of Tasmania “ and thoroughly enjoyed it 😊 Our Tour Guide Andrea was extremely helpful, informative, caring and funny and added to the enjoyment of all the fantastic sights and experiences we shared. I would highly recommend this tour as the ideal way to explore Tasmania and experience the breathtaking wilderness of the rainforests, waterfalls and hiking trails; and the spectacular beauty of the Eastern coastline.

Best way to see Tassie when you have never been before and want it hassle free. Our guide was fantastic; super knowledgeable, funny and approachable. What a stunning state to explore. Great value for money with this tour. I do believe the 10 day is the way to go.

I thoroughly recommend the UDU Ultimate-10 tour ... 10 days covering lots of Tasmania (from Hobart to Mt Field NP, Queenstown, Strahan, the wild North-West, Stanley, Cradle Mountain, Launceston, Bay of Fires, Bicheno, Freycinet NP, Bruny Island and Port Arthur ... and lots in between!) Tim (our guide) was awesome and Tassie (and the tour) was even better than anticipated. Under Down Under Tours were excellent throughout ... from the booking process right through to final drop off back in Hobart.

Fantastic tour - we were so lucly to have beautiful weather, amazing scenery and a very knowledgable guide. The tour was very well organised, as the guide would provide ternative activities when necessary (e.g. bad weather, attraction closed to public, less challenging trails). We so got to meet amzing people, I would highly recommend joining this tour!

We did the 10 day tour last October and have terrific memories of this beautiful island. The scenery was spectacular and made even better by the lovely weather we had - boat trip on the Gordon river was out of this world, walk up to view Wineglass bay, numerous areas of rain forest, view from Mt Wellington, the stunning coastline and the memories go on and on...the trip was fantastic and made even better by our guide Tim who was so knowledgeable and passionate about the history, local interests, wild life etc of Tasmania and we left with a great understanding of this beautiful island. Not to mention the night we ventured up past our hotel in Hobart to see if we could spot a platypus - guided by Tim we witnessed not only 1 platypus but 2 rather jealous males having a disagreement over whose territory it belonged to... we also saw wombats, pademelon, echidnas and little penguins to mention some of the other wildlife and some fantastic flora - 10 out of 10 for this trip. Amazing tour around Tasmania, with a lovely group from all over the world and the best guide! Everything was so well planned and organised to show us some of the most beautiful spots of Tasmania within 5 days, with different options to suit everyone.

Very well organised and great places visited. Our tour guide Tim was exceptional. Not only did he have a vast knowledge of everything about Tasmania, he was thoughtful and attentive to the needs of the group, with ages ranging from early twenties to early eighties. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We covered a lot of area in 5 days and really felt we had a good look at this beautiful island.

Andrea, our guide, was great. He was really informative, approachable and had a great sense of humour which made the long bus rides even more enjoyable. The places we visited are definitely out of the way and hard to reach independently but it was all taken care of as part of this tour. I’d go again and would recommend my friends to join as well.

Of course Tas is the best travel destination with all these breathing taking views. Our guide, Brendon, has been excellent in terms of knowledge and skills and he has been professional and been kind at all time and provided modification to meet different fitness levels. I reckon that he deserves a promotion. J

From pick up to drop off, our guide Hadyn was full of infectious joy about the flora and fauna of Tasmania. This tour seemed to cater to older guests which suited us perfectly. We were able to walk as much or as little as we desired any day. The driving was broken up by regular stops and Hadyn had excellent suggestions for good coffee & food. Because we were a small group, we were able to adjust the schedule slightly to suit all our needs. Some of the highlights for my husband and myself were the walks and waterfalls of the national parks, bay of fire, Gordon river cruise, Dove lake walk, the Unzoo and staying in Eaglehawk neck plus the best eggplant parmigiana I’ve ever had there. Some of the accommodation was very basic, but clean while in Launceston and Eaglehawk Neck it was more luxurious. Our driver was very professional and safety conscious.

We were looking for a trip that encompassed the best of Tasmania, without the hassle of self driving. This appeared to fit the bill and it delivered in every aspect! Although the days were long, necessary to cover the itinerary, they were well broken up with regular pit stops. We chose the motel option, luxury accommodation it wasn’t, but all were comfortable, clean and good value for money. We finished the trip knowing a lot more about Tasmania than when we started, thanks to the knowledgeable and entertaining Campbell Read, our guide. As a result we will definitely return to the island in the future to explore further.

An excellent tour. Good accommodation and food. The guide, Campbell Read, was exceptional, full of knowledge about the wild life, flora and fauna, and the history of the island. He clearly explained the program each day and was always helpful. The tour gave us many opportunities to explore and appreciate Tasmania. We would fully recommend this 6 day tour.

A great way to see the best of Tasmania. Not all meals included but our guide had good suggestions of places to go. Usually needed to buy lunch on the way to remoter areas but we always stopped somewhere with a good bakery or shop. Only difficulty was on Friday night in Launceston when hotel restaurant was booked out, nearest pizza place was only open Sat-Sun. Stillwaters Restaurant across the road was open but expensive but food was very good. There are a lot of spots on the tour where you have to walk a bit, and for the Dove Lake circuit (2-3 hours) and climb to the lookout over Wineglass Bay (30-40 mins) you need to be reasonably fit. Five of us were fit over-70s and had no problem. Bruny Island day had chance to try a cheese tasting board and local oysters. Oysters some of the best I have had. Our guide-driver Keygan is a Tassie boy and very knowledgeable about the wildlife and very happy to share it with us. Thanks to all at Under Down Under for a great experience.
