- EddieG3680 contributionsAbsolutely The Best Way To Tour TassieWe had an absolutely fabulous time on our recent 5 day tour. We saw so much of this wonderful island. - 642EricG0 contributionsA Great TripMy wife and I enjoyed a very enjoyable trip to Hobart with Fun Tassie Tours. Robert was an excellent driver and a warm and friendly guide, knowledgable about the area and attentive to everyone’s comfort. There was plenty of room on a very modern minibus. The trips and stops were well chosen with Port Arthur, the Bruny Island Cruise and a visit to Puddleduck Winery particular highlights. Morgan was very accommodating in arranging an amended duration suited to our specific needs. An enthusiastic recommendation.Written 30 November 2024

- Taseoak0 contributionsTop Tassie Tour.!Having read previous reviews this Tour seemed the one for us. My husband and I were not disappointed. Every day there were highlights and views to astound - Our Driver and Guide, Michael, was delightful, funny, informative, with a good sense of humour, aware of ages as we were an older group and comfort and pit stops were easily organised. Also daily departure times were ideally suited to our ages. We also met guide Morgan on our last day - a very informative & pleasant chap. It is hard to pick one top attraction as each place had it's own special highlight.Written 11 November 2024

- johnfZ2186EL0 contributionsFun with Fun Tassie ToursI can’t recommend Fun Tassie Tours highly enough! From the very beginning, the booking process was seamless, kept us well-informed throughout, making trip planning a breeze. Upon arriving in Hobart, we were pleased with our accommodation at Movenpick. The staff were friendly, the rooms were spotless, and its proximity to the CBD was incredibly convenient. The highlight of our experience was definitely our tour guide, Ben. The sights we visited were remarkable, but what truly set this tour apart was Ben himself. He was not only friendly and accommodating but also incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for his job shone through, and he consistently went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic experience. We felt very fortunate to have him as our guide. Thank you, Fun Tassie Tours, for an unforgettable adventure! D & GWritten 27 September 2024

- Q2390RBjessicah0 contributionsExceeded Expectations! It was my family’s first time in Tasmania and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The tour was well organised and we learnt much about the places that we visited from our very knowledgeable and passionate guides, Morgan and Ben. We also appreciate Morgan's patience and prompt responses to our queries before the trip. Tasmania truly has so much to offer. We loved the breathtaking landscapes, up-close encounters with wildlife, delicious meals, invigorating fresh air and new friendships forged with people on the tour. Even though we explored many beautiful attractions in the island over seven days, we still found the pace of the tour very ideal. We are already missing Tassie and hope to be back soon. Our heartfelt thanks to Fun Tassie Tours for the extraordinary experience! We will treasure these precious memories for a lifetime!Written 30 April 2024

Want to feel like a person, and not a number? Fun Tassie Tours fitted the bill perfectly for us. The small group tour assured more time to see more of the beautiful and historic sights of Tasmania.
Competently skippered by Carl, the tour was safe, comfortable, punctual, accommodating, flexible when required, extremely informative, and indeed fun. A great travel group was a bonus. Accommodation and eating places were good choices, and fitted nicely with the locations. Carl, our guide, was always spontaneous and energetic with interactions.
There’s definitely NO boaring, rehearsed, robotic, monotonous, glazed eyed commentary on this tour😊.
Thanks heaps Carl, and our fellow travellers. We only left our footprints in Tassie, and brought home some fond memories.
Luckily we keep a little space in our luggage for unexpected purchases, including from that magnificant "Wall" and "Morrison’s Saw Mill" 😊
A great experience!

This was an excellent small group tour with the best guide I can imagine - Dean Huff. Not many people from the States get to visit Tasmania, but no matter where you might be traveling from, I highly recommend Fun Tassie Tours. I saw so many beautiful places and learned so much about Tasmania on this tour. Dean's ability to relate his knowledge of Tasmania's history and resources while driving us to the most amazing places, was masterful. We never felt rushed but always felt relaxed as Dean led us through each day's itinerary. His ability to communicate, coordinate, and accommodate, really made this tour so memorable.

We had a great time with Fun Tassie Tours and a small group of fellow travelers. Morgan and Ben were perfect hosts and extremely knowledgeable guides – made the tour! Seeing the sites is half of the enjoyment of such a tour - our standard of excellence for tours was set by Morgan and Ben for offering engaged, informed and enthusiastic interpretations and services.
FTT has done an amazing job of showcasing Tassie’s history at every stop along the way – Richmond, Tasman’s Arch, Devils’ Kitchen, Port Arthur Heritage site, Launceston. “The Wall in the Wilderness” gallery was an absolute highlight, one we would recommend is a must for anyone coming to Tasmania.
It was a well-paced tour. The food, wineries and specialty shops (chocolate, dairy, honey) were all great and we have some very special memories. Travel time passed quickly with Ben’s musical choices and Morgan’s impressive historical knowledge of Tasmania, interspersed with numerous stops each day for ocean views and short trail walks where we were exposed to Tasmania’s unique flora & fauna. Alternative choices sensitive to various physical capabilities of members of the group were always a consideration. Numerous forest walks ended in beautiful waterfall settings.
Thanks Morgan and Ben and Fun Tassie Tours for a great holiday.

I had the pleasure of going on the 8 Day Fun Tassie Tour with my 83-year-old grandfather, Lyle, in the second week of November 2024. We can confirm that November is a good time of year to travel Tassie – we had clear skies and warm weather (warm for Tassie at least!) every day.
We cannot recommend this tour enough! The staff at Fun Tassie Tours are welcoming and attentive. Morgan was very helpful answering any of our questions when making our booking, and Ben, our guide, made our trip truly special with his kindness, local knowledge, good humour, excellent food recommendations and (importantly) skilful manoeuvring of the tour bus. We were very fortunate with the cohort of people we had on our bus – a broad range of ages (25 to 85!) and from all different parts of the world, however, with the positive environment created by our guide Ben, we got on famously.
We were impressed with the itinerary of the tour – we covered a lot of ground. Highlights included spotting the fairy penguins at Bicheno, watching self-milking cows at Pyengana, spotting the glowworms at Marakoopa Caves, dinner with many of our tour friends at Cradle Mountain Hotel, ice cream at the Melita Honey Farm, The Wall at Derwent Bridge (a real hidden gem), and the ritual of an afternoon cuppa at some picturesque picnic spots… we could go on. Activities were age-friendly, and tour-goers were given the opportunity to opt out of any which they didn't fancy – instead enjoying an extra cuppa with Ben.
In short, there is something for everyone. Fun Tassie Tours is a great way to see Tasmania with great people!

We want to say that we had such a good tour with your company. A small tour suited us down to the ground and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment, right from the booking process to the end.
We can’t speak highly enough of Matthew. He went above and beyond what we are sure he was required to do for the tour, and nothing was too much trouble. Any queries or concerns were dealt with straight away and with efficiency, and he was just such a lovely person to have on tour with us.
We met some lovely people and saw some amazing places which we will remember always. We can highly recommend not just a tour of Tasmania but definatly Tassie Tours without hesitation.
Thank you for everything – to the accommodation, bus, and meals. No complaints from us.
Thanks again.

Morgan lead our six days of travel around Tassie. Every part of the tour was fun and interesting. Morgan shared lots of history and stories which made our holiday more meaningful. Some of the highlights were following walking tracks in Cradle Mountain, especially wombat spotting at dusk. Little penguins at Bicheno was also another highlight, but the biggest surprise was The Wall. This was a massive life-size sculpture of the story of Tasmania, all carved from panels of Huon Pine. We were limited in the time we could stay in Tasmania, but if you have more time I recommend that you stay longer in Hobart than the one night at the start and end of your tour.

Samoa & I recently returned from a holiday we shall remember.
We booked an 8-day tour in circle with Fun Tassie Tours.
It was our first trip to Tasmania and Wow, Wow, Wow,
The itinerary was well-planned, diverse, enlightening, and very enjoyable, it has taken 70 years to get to Tassie, and now we want more, this tour was amazing and truly recommended for all age groups. We were 2 of a small group of 9 wonderful people of varying years and nationalities; From the outset of each day to the arrival at the evening's accommodation it was an amazing 8-day journey, each day so very different, we absolutely loved every day and evening of this trip, due in no small part to our guide extraordinaire Dean, on behalf of Samoa & I “tenk yu tru barata” you made our trip.

This was our first visit to Tasmania and Fan Tassie Tours did not disappoint. It was good to be travelling with only a small group and the modern mini-coach was very comfortable and clean. The accommodation and meals were all good and varied. In particular our guide and driver Dean made this an exceptional trip. He was extremely knowledgable and made the information very interesting and easy to follow. A confident and unflappable driver who maintained the schedule without us ever feeling rushed and nothing was too much trouble. Each day offered a new highlight and we would unreservedly recommend Dean and Fan Tassie Tours.

A great tour of Tasmania, thanks especially to Dean’s extensive knowledge of the island’s dramatic history, its unique flora and fauna, its old and new economic influences, and so many other dimensions. These things were brought to life by Dean’s clear interest in and well-justified passion for Tasmania. And it helped too to have a small and very harmonious tour group, with a well thought out itinerary that included regular rest stops at places of interest and comfortable overnight accommodation. Highly recommended!

This was a first for us. We usually rent a car, figure out sights and hotels, and meander in some sort of a tour. Decided this time that to really get a good taste of Tasmania in a week, we would miss too much if driving ourselves.
It was a good choice. It is so much easier to sit than drive. Michael stopped at the highlights and the otherwise missable little spots with a solid wry commentary. Lunches were consistently memorable, dinners interesting. The company was good.
This may be our only trip to Tasmania and we saw it well. Would recommend FunTassie and would now consider small group tours in other parts of the world.
