          Fun, Beautiful, Comfortable Tasmanian Tour
Fun Tassie Tours, Tasmania 13 Day Tour, February 12 --24, 2024 was lead by the company owner who was the guide and driver. Excellent tour in every way: sightseeing, waterfalls, forest walks, food, accommodations. And as the company is named, was a 'Fun' tour. Tasmania has unique scenic beauty and an interesting history, making it a worthwhile visit with a tour company that is native to Tasmania, such as, Fun Tassie Tours that handles arrangements, possible hassles. All you have to do is show up.

          Amazing experience
I was a solo traveller for a 10 day tour in circle. I highly recommend this tour. I had a great time meeting like minded fellow travellers. Michael was our driver and guide. He kept us all on time and we even had the opportunity to fit in a few extra sights. Every day was a new adventure full of fun and informative activities. So many beautiful sights in Tasmania and what better way to see it than meeting new friends and having your own private driver/guide to do all the hard work.

          A well run company
Had a great time with Michael on this small group tour,we had a good mix of people who all got along well.all but one hotels were very good ,was not impressed with the Port Arthur, but believe it’s under Reno which is needed badly and the food was disgusting. Port Arthur was interesting and Mick did a great job on the tour as he did on all the other places. A well organised tour with good food at every stop,we had a choice of food for lunch daily and the included breakfasts were very good. All together a lovely tour, and thanks Morgan for remembering me.Carole

Fun Tassie Tours - 13 day tour
An incredible and amazing tour of Tasmania with Robert and Pam. Robert's knowledge on the history of Tasmania and his ability to go where other coaches couldn't and Pam's organisational skills played a significant factor in the success of our tour. Their attention to detail, knowledge of historical events, love of nature and what tourists want, delivers an experience that ticks all the boxes on a bucket list. Highly recommended

          Fantastic Circle tour of Tasmania
Fantastic must do circle tour of Tasmania. Our guide Dean provided us with an amazing well paced experience of this magical place. He was extremely knowledgeable in every area- history, geology, boreal forests, rich eco agriculture that maximizes the micro climate, wildlife and birds that are unique to Tasmania Accommodations were excellent as were the included breaks and lunches and dinner options. Would highly recommend!

          Highly enjoyable Tasmania holiday/tour
My friend and I had an amazing holiday on a 7 night Tasmania Tour. We met some lovely people on our bus and our tour guide Dean certainly helped to make our tour so very enjoyable. Dean is a very knowledgeable and professional tour guide and was always looking after us. We highly recommend Fun Tassie Tours to see the sights of Tasmania. Valerie & Heather

          A wonderful overview of Tasmania
Our 7 Day Circle Tour took us from Hobart then to Port Arthur, up the east coast to Launceston to Cradle Mountain in the middle, westward to Queenstown and back through the Wilderness to Hobart. So many interesting stops, tastings and information to take in. A terrific overview of the island with our driver/guide, Dean. We would definitely recommend this tour! Brian & Elayne Nov. 2023

          Great Small Touring Company
Choosing a tour company can be a bit of a gamble. We had previously travelled with a small touring company in the UK, so knew what we wanted and our gamble with Fun Tassie Tours paid off in bucket loads! Robert was the perfect host and guide. The commentary he gave was always entertaining and informative and he had so many great stories to tell. We enjoyed the “we’ve got some time to go down this track” moments; the afternoon tea each day in the outdoors; and the connection he had with the local small businesses. The accommodation was of a great standard and each place we stayed was different from the last. It was also noted how well Fun Tassie Tours was received wherever we went. The 13 Day Premium Tour was comprehensive and excellent value and we can highly recommend them.

What a great and fun Tassie Tour!
I went on the 7 day Tour in a Circle and truly enjoyed the experience! As there was just one other guest, it felt like a private tour. Dean, our host, guide, and driver is a real gem! Incredibly friendly, helpful, and knows so much about Tassie and all the sights. This tour is a great way to explore all the different and exiting things Tassie has to offer - be it sights, nature, food, or animals. I had a great time and can truly recommend Fun Tassie Tours.

          An Exceptional Experience
FT Tours - welcoming, efficient and creatively helpful. Good organisation. Know their schedules and options very well. Morgan Wilson and Dean Huff are good operators and very personable. Dean is an incredible guide, -knowledgeable, incredibly well researched and genuinely passionate + he has good relationships with tourism operators and suppliers all over Tasmania. Both East and West Coast tours were exceptional value. Highlight - Wall in the Wilderness (Must See). Gold Rush Inn in Queenstown was a pleasant surprise - another very well operated business. Thank you to ALL involved operators and guests.

Was a super amazing trip, Dean the driver/guide was awesome, super nice and knowledgeable about pretty much anything you could ask about, was patient when me and my friends would wondering off a little bit. Went to a bunch of differnt unique places and gave us plenty of time to do what we wanted at each location. All in all a great trip with great people and a great guide.

I didn't even get to go on this tour it was supposed to be February 15th at the time it was an Australia wide COVID 19 lockdown and my tour got cancelled and rescheduled and then cancelled again , but the person who was supposed to be my tour guide ? Morgan he was rude, unprofessional and hostile towards me since I was a solo traveller, he tried to coax me into finding someone else to go on his tour because he quote " These tours are typically for couples" He degraded me while talking on the phone which he also mentioned he wasn't supposed to do, he was supposed to go through the travel agency to contact me (It was during a COVID 19 lockdown Australia wide I get it) He was trying to state facts about me that were untrue and then hostile towards me based on those facts for example he thought I lived in Melbourne, which I totally don't Eww! Sorry Melbournians. But I do see other people's reviews have enjoyed Morgan as a tour guide, I just don't understand his hostility towards me or his fact checking which he said his mother does for him. Not a good guy by any means seriously solo travellers just travel by yourself don't go with Fun Tassie Tours company at all. I thought it would be fine but no, you don't need a hostile person like that.

Hi Kimberley C, We are very sorry and apologise that your tour had to be cancelled on short notice due to the COVID lockdowns. It was a last resort but we had to put the safety of us & our guests first as always. We waited more than 10 months without a single tour departure so completely understand your frustration. I was shocked and saddened though and left scratching my head when reading your comments above. I contacted you to offer and discuss alternative travel dates for your cancelled tour. We actually spoke on the phone on 3 seperate occasions Kimberley and they were all respectful and professional - like all my conversations with our guests. If I've said anything unwittingly to offend you I apologise but what you've described above simply did not happen. There was certainly no demeaning, rudeness or hostility from either side. I am very open to receiving feedback and criticism even if it’s harsh... but not when it's totally untrue. My body of work over the last 4 years shows that your comments are completely out of character and out of line with anything that has been previously written about me or our business. Hopefully readers of this forum will see that for themselves. We love having solo guests, we treat all our guests equally and always try to remain friendly, professional and welcoming. We do hope that you one day enjoy visiting Tasmania. Morgan Wilson

Tasmania is beautiful and made even better when seen through the eyes of our driver and tour guide Morgan. As we were a small group he was able to take us to smaller places so we could see the real Tasmania. Loved this tour so much and I couldn't recommend it more highly. Could not have been more impressed with Morgan who was always joyous and very patient and caring with those of us who had physical difficulties. We never felt, once, that we were a burden or unwelcome.

The best experience for a first time visitor to Tasmania. We could not fault the tour, itinerary and time management of the trip. Our guide/driver Morgan's devotion to present a comprehensive experience with his ability to showcase the history, natural beauty, attraction and local produce of Tasmania is impeccable. Very encouraging in terms domestic tourism and providers in the industry at this difficult times of the pandemic.

Despite Corona virus getting all the attention and hotels, cafes, restaurants and attractions closing down around us, it was not allowed to detract from ensuring that our diverse group of seven (two Brits, two Aussies, a Kiwi and two from the US of A) had nothing but the best of time when we joined Carl, our tour guide in Hobart. His encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Tasmanian enriched every aspect of this suburb tour coupled with his cheerful outgoing disposition, sense of humour and consummate care for those of us whose age told against us on occasion. Questions on history, fauna, geography, geology and customs were answered knowledgeably and interestingly. Under the circumstances, there was always a “Plan B” executed seamlessly without any noticeable disruption to the overall tour. We visited just about all the sights scheduled, plus a few more. A glorious island made more so by the professionalism exhibited by Carl, Morgan and Pam in ensuring that the holiday was nothing short of an immense success.

My wife and I did the 6 days in a circle tour with Morgan. It was a great experience. Morgan was very attentive, informative, and an all round good guy.
There were so many highlights on the tour but the Cradle Mountain day was particularly good - spotting wombats and walking up to within feet of them (we probably could have patted them if we wanted to) and walking tracks to see the sites & natural beauty.
Morgan punctuated each day with information on the various areas we visited or passed through and he had an extensive knowledge of plants, geology and history.
We had 9 people on our bus, which had 22 seats so we had room to move and got to know each other well by the end of the trip.
The quality of the accommodation varied but never disappointed. The stay at the Cradle Mountain Hotel was particularly good.
Morgan gave a run down of different eating options as we came in to each of the towns, so we weren't left trying to work out where to go or what was available to eat. There were cheap eats available but we tended to go to the more expensive places and were very pleased on each occasion.
We had considered planning a self-drive tour of Tassie but are so glad that we chose to tour with Fun Tassie Tours. There is no way we would have covered as much or been as informed about the different sites we visited.
We thoroughly recommend this tour to others.

The 10 of us on the tour were introduced to many highlights of the island by a knowledgeable and gracious driver/guide, Morgan. The combination of short bursts of driving with (optional) walks through enchanted forests seemed to suit everyone, including the less mobile. We all learnt and experienced much more than I, for one, anticipated. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wishing to experience the essence of this beautiful island.

This was our first visit to Tasmania and Fan Tassie Tours did not disappoint. It was good to be travelling with only a small group and the modern mini-coach was very comfortable and clean. The accommodation and meals were all good and varied. In particular our guide and driver Dean made this an exceptional trip. He was extremely knowledgable and made the information very interesting and easy to follow. A confident and unflappable driver who maintained the schedule without us ever feeling rushed and nothing was too much trouble. Each day offered a new highlight and we would unreservedly recommend Dean and Fan Tassie Tours.

We had a great time with Fun Tassie Tours and a small group of fellow travelers. Morgan and Ben were perfect hosts and extremely knowledgeable guides – made the tour! Seeing the sites is half of the enjoyment of such a tour - our standard of excellence for tours was set by Morgan and Ben for offering engaged, informed and enthusiastic interpretations and services.

FTT has done an amazing job of showcasing Tassie’s history at every stop along the way – Richmond, Tasman’s Arch, Devils’ Kitchen, Port Arthur Heritage site, Launceston. “The Wall in the Wilderness” gallery was an absolute highlight, one we would recommend is a must for anyone coming to Tasmania.

It was a well-paced tour. The food, wineries and specialty shops (chocolate, dairy, honey) were all great and we have some very special memories.  Travel time passed quickly with Ben’s musical choices and Morgan’s impressive historical knowledge of Tasmania, interspersed with numerous stops each day for ocean views and short trail walks where we were exposed to Tasmania’s unique flora & fauna. Alternative choices sensitive to various physical capabilities of members of the group were always a consideration. Numerous forest walks ended in beautiful waterfall settings.

Thanks Morgan and Ben and Fun Tassie Tours for a great holiday.

This is an excellent Tour covering many of the sights of Tassie. Although we covered a lot of the island we never felt rushed. Morgan, our Tour guide was extremely informative, helpful and friendly, providing insights and local knowledge and choosing a wonderful location each afternoon for our coffee/tea stop. He adapted the Tour as we went, initially due to the inclement weather and then the Targa rally. The company also organised a pre-Tour extension for me in Hobart, offering a number of options which I could choose from. This worked really well and I received all documentation beforehand. I would definitely recommend this Tour and would use this Company again.

A great tour of Tasmania, thanks especially to Dean’s extensive knowledge of the island’s dramatic history, its unique flora and fauna, its old and new economic influences, and so many other dimensions. These things were brought to life by Dean’s clear interest in and well-justified passion for Tasmania. And it helped too to have a small and very harmonious tour group, with a well thought out itinerary that included regular rest stops at places of interest and comfortable overnight accommodation. Highly recommended!
