    Must do tour in Hobart
Had a best day that Friday was meant to rain but clear blue sky instead. Must do tour when you are in Hobart the view is breathtaking and saying its beautiful is an understatement! and it takes you to some locations before and able to hon on the next bus on the same day Tony was really funny and very knowledgeable, not onlt about the history of the area but also show us where to get the best butterscotch liquor chocolate in Hobart ( omg best chocolate ever!) and area on the waterfront with bioluminescent! Thank you so much

Quite a nice experience and views
Very good tour guide, Paul kept us interested and informed of the areas as went towards the mountain and going back. Their are options to stay on the top of the mountain (and wait for the next bus to pick you up) and you can hike back down from the mountain or head with the same bus back to Hobart. Best on cleared weather days.

Great driver, better him than me, beautiful views. Bring a jacket.
The driver was very informative plus provided some funny stories along the way. Amazing views going up the mountain and of course when you get to the top. We had beautiful clear skies. Bring a jacket as it is quite cold up there.

    Rain or shine
Eventhough it was cloudy & raining & we are the only 3 passengers, the tour went through. We salute your dedication. Thank you so much for giving us an experience of a lifetime. Special mention to the bus driver/tour guide Greg.

    Worth it for the view
The view was amazing. Your guide very informative. Only negative was the seats. Very narrow which made them uncomfortable.

    Fantastic
5/5. I wasn’t expecting much. There was cloud cover, drizzle and it was relatively cold compared to the day before. We were given the option to reschedule if we wanted, but this was the only day we had available. We weren’t disappointed. As we entered the clouds, the forest and the towns felt very surreal. There was plenty of information on the way, and the bus moved fast and efficiently. We broke through the clouds close to the top, and the day changed. It was sunny, warm, and magical. Spending 30 minutes at the top gave us plenty of time to take it all in. Highly recommend and one I would do again. Every day would be totally different.

Up and back visit to Mount Wellington.
On time and informative. The bus has several and easily found meeting points. We left the city and climbed the route to the summit of the mountain with interesting local history and anecdotes provided by Greg. Sufficient time at the top to take in the view before returning to base. Well worth it. Note: it’s a mountain so views are not guaranteed. Enjoy

We had a brilliant couple of days exploring Hobart and this was an excellent way to do it. We booked the 48-hr Red Bus & Mt Wellington combo; make sure you do this over 3-days rather make the mistake we did and book the Mt Wellington tour in the middle of it. You kind of lose a day of your Red Bus ticket that way. We were there in the peak of summer and it had snowed at Mt Wellington the day before and there was still snow on the ground. Definitely worth the very reasonable ticket price!

Dear HollyGBird, thank you for your review. I’m pleased to hear that you had a brilliant experience on our combined kunanyi/Mt Wellington and Hobart Hop-On Hop-off tours. It’s the best way to see all that Hobart has to offer. After a few really hot days in Hobart we had a change of weather with snow falling on kunanyi/Mt Wellington – you’re lucky to have been here to witness snow in summer! Thanks again for your review and recommendations and we wish you all the best for your Tassie holiday. Louise V, kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus.

Fabulous day using this service! We had really useful, personal but professional commentary on the trip, with great options to get on and off . We took the earliest service from town up to the chalet, walked the organ pipes track to Fern Tree via lunch at the shipping container cafe, then took the 2.30 service back to town from Fern Tree. Couldn't be happier!

Dear Kerstein T, thank you so much for sharing your experience. It sounds like you were well prepared to make the most of your day and our hop-on hop-off bus service. I’m so happy that you had a wonderful day of bushwalking along the Organ Pipes Track on kunanyi/Mt Wellington. Lost Freight Café at the Springs is a great spot to refuel or simply sit back and enjoy the serenity with a cuppa. Thanks again for your review and recommendations, we hope you to see you again. Brilliant trip up to the summit of Mt Wellington. Lots of laughs thanks to the driver's humorous delivery of both local history and local culture.

Whole trip took about 2.5 hours and was worth every penny.

I'd recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see more than the centre of Hobart but doesn't want it to take a whole day

We found this a good value option for money and a great way to see the sights of Hobart. Our driver to Mt Wellington was very informative without it being boring, we were lucky and had perfect weather at the summit for viewing and it wasnt cold at all even though we were prepared.
The Hop on hop off tour was a good way to see the main sights of the city.

After I got the bus up to the top, I took the drivers advice and got out at the top of the Organ Pipes track to walk back down to Fern Tree to reunite with a bus back to the city. The track is easy and well formed. Almost anyone could walk down and the views are worth it. I would have walked from the top but it was exceptionally cold and windy up there that day, but not further down.

Cruise ship was in same time we were. Crowds of people everywhere, lines everywhere. Was very disorganized, people cutting in lines no direction on which stop you should be at for Mount Wellington so we got on the wrong bus. Never made it to Mt Wellington! Buses have no air condition (enclosed upstairs area) . Got on tour and went around first loop then told to get off bud and move to another where and we sat for 15 to 20 minutes waiting at stop A even though bus was full. Terrible experience!!

Dear Kris M, thank you for the time you have taken to provide feedback about your recent tour experience. It is with disappointment that I read your comments, and I am sorry that our tour did not meet your expectations. As I am sure you can appreciate Hobart is a relatively small destination, and when large cruise ships come in we do run at full capacity and work our absolute hardest to ensure everything runs as smoothly as we can. Because our buses are a very popular choice for cruise passengers to explore our beautiful city, we do provide extra capacity on these days, by adding on extra buses from our heritage fleet of original English double-decker buses with closed tops. They have an old-world charm and have been known to bring back fond memories for many of our passengers. However, they do not have all of the modern comforts of our new double-decker buses. As for the bus timings our drivers do need breaks in between their loops of the city and we do also have to stick to our timetable, due to it being a hop-on hop-off service, so even when a bus is full we cannot depart early. I am also sorry to hear that you also missed your trip up Mt Wellington. Our company policy is that we offer tour refunds if you are not 100% happy. Please contact our booking office on 62369116 to organise this at your earliest convenience. In addition, if you would like to discuss your concerns further, please contact our booking office to speak with our Tour & Charter Manager. Kind regards, Bianca C. Guest Relations Manager

As a couple of seniors we found the hop on hop off bus a fantastic way to get around Hobart and get access to many of the travel hot spots. For an extra $10 for the second day it was a great deal as it allowed us to catch up on and visit locations we missed on the first day. We deliberately didn't go on a weekend and the buses were never crowded. Clean with good commentary.
I believe the service could be improved with latter busses after the last one at 3 pm. and possibly adding a third day pass and include Mona on the route for some trips

Hint. If a cruise ship is docked I think I would plan to use this service on another day

Unfortunately due to roadworks on Pinnacle road the main road on Mt Wellington at the time of my bus tour, the bus tour would only being travelling as far as half way up the mountain. I would just like to commend the customer service I received regarding this, I was made well aware of changes well in advance of my tour and offered a full refund of the changes didn’t suit me, which I took as I was only intending to visit the summit. I look forward to rebooking the tour when I get a chance to travel to Hobart again.

Great tour. Went up Mt Wellington first up in the morning however the weather conditions was bad with thick fog therefore we couldn’t see views when at The Pinnacle.
The 48-hour hop on-off was a great overview of Hobart city which was included as part of this tour.
Would recommend if you are a solo traveller and do not wish to rent a car in Hobart.
