- keithbB2776FW0 contributionsEnchantingGraham the guide was always helping everyone be informed and enjoy their hike. It was a wet grey day but it didn’t matter it was a delight to be there. The landscape is enchanting, other worldly. I half expected a goblin to jump out from behind a lichen covered tree in the enchanted forest.Written 12 March 2025
- PandaHugs790 contributionsGreat mixed bag experience for the time poor travellorGreat mixed bag of experiences crammed into 1 day! Being picked up and dropped off at our accommodation was great, especially with a friendly, chatty knowledgeable guide. Our 1st stop was an easy cliff top stroll with amazing views. Wow! Next we saw the little devils an a very natural style environment, learning about their habits and even watching a feed. Unfortunately Pt Arthur was a let down - only because we tried to cram a full day into a few hours - think this experience needs time to take it in and walk with a guide for stories. Beautifully restored and very harrowing. Finishing the day at Richmond - a delightful quaint village, once again an hr wasn't long enough but found some yummy goodies to round off the day.Written 11 March 2025
- elky4162560 contributionsBen led a wonderful Tasmanian Tour!We bought our Mt. Field & Bonorong Wildlife Park Adventure excursion through “Shore Excursion Groups” for our cruise ship’s stop in Hobart, TAS. The instructions provided were excellent and got us to the visitor center where a nice man could tell we were looking for our group and checked our name off his list. This was Ben, our phenomenal tour guide. A Sydney transplant to Tasmania, Ben is a font of knowledge, about geology, culture, flora, and fauna from Australia and the state of Tasmania. He is also a very kind and humorous man who kept us engaged and laughing for the entire day-long tour. We greatly enjoyed the naturewalk through Mt Field park, culminating in a stunning view of the falls. The picnic lunch we picked up from a quaint bakery was excellent. And the Bonorong wildlife sanctuary was really about rehabilitation and focused on native wildlife- a really wonderful thing to see especially since we are not big fans of zoos - this was not a zoo! Overall, we had a truly lovely day and Ben was a huge part of that. Thank you Tours Tasmania!!Written 4 March 2025
- wcyee19990 contributionsFive stars tour from HobartLoved this tour and especially our guide Ian, who's a Hobart full year resident who shared plenty of Tasmanian history around the tour stops and the roads traveled. Keep your eyes open in Tasman Park's waterfall hike; we did and saw paddymelons in the brushWritten 26 February 2025

- mambroz0 contributionsOnly enough time to do the Airwalk. We only had enough time to do the airwalk as the drive is quite long - but fun - and it will depend on how quick you do the walks. To get to the airwalk you drive along a logging road - which is paved - through some impressive trees, which is a good start to the adventure. The actual airwalk is fun, but it looks like the forest is still regenerating from a fire in 2019 and in a few years will be more impressive. Going out on the cantilever section gave an impressive view! Take the walk to the swinging bridges, but they do bounce a bit! All in all a good trip.Written 19 February 2025
- chrismL5627CN0 contributionsOverall enjoyable dayHad a great day, Very full on and long day. Bus Tour guide very informative, knowledgeable and friendly. Bush walk was a bit more strenuous for older people than portrayed in the flyer. Port Arthur was a great experience apart from the weather it rained the whole time, and was freezing so would suggest a better weather day if planning to go. Richmond was a lovely quaint town and enjoyed walking the streets Overall a good day out.Written 18 February 2025
- haomo250 contributionsA Brilliant Day on Maria Island with an Amazing Guide!I had an amazing time on the Maria Island tour, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! Our guide, Carl, was fantastic and truly made the experience unforgettable. The route itself offered brilliant views, and we even had the chance to identify several species of animals, which was such a rewarding part of the tour. Carl’s knowledge about the island’s history was impressive. He shared so many fascinating facts about the island, and I especially loved learning fun tidbits about specific plants and animals. His expertise added so much depth to the tour, and it really enhanced our experience. The whole trip was perfectly organized. It was a full-day tour, but it never felt too long. The two routes were a comfortable length, and we got to experience a lot without feeling rushed. The well-planned itinerary allowed us to enjoy both the stunning landscapes and the wildlife, making the day feel both relaxing and enriching. Overall, this tour was an absolute highlight of my trip, and I can’t imagine having the same experience if we had explored the island on our own. Carl’s guidance made everything so much more informative and enjoyable. If you’re planning a trip to Maria Island, I definitely recommend this tour!Written 12 February 2025
- Pioneer046436762740 contributions⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This tour is so gorgeous! Our tour guide -Heather, is so professional and knowledgeable! This tour is worth to visit!! You can see the waterfall bay, which is spectacular. When you visit Tasmania Devil unzoo, you can also feed kangaroos on your own. Port Arthur is historical building that you can’t miss to visit. Richmond is a lovely village.Written 11 February 2025
- vwalmsley0 contributionsGreat place for some natureWe had a great time at the Tahune Airwalk. Be prepared for a long winding drive. You need to be aware and take care as there are logging trucks using the road. There also isn’t any wifi service. The area had a significant bushfire in 2019 so be prepared for fire damage which has impacted the vegetation. The entrance fee is about $30 per person for unlimited access to the walks and small info centre. The staff were very helpful and we were able to access the buggy for a person with less mobility. The airwalk was very good and we enjoyed the cantilever. Food was good with some reasonable choices and prices were ok. Well worth the visit.Written 10 February 2025

- O6700ANleahs0 contributionsTahune Airwalk and Hastings CaveA most enjoyable day out from Hobart, with a visit to the Tahune Airwalk with it's impressive views and lovely walk through the forest and over the suspension bridges. Then on to Hastings Cave with it's amazing formations and informative guided tour. (There was an option to swim in the thermal pool which I didn't bother with... full of wriggling children on school holiday!... although the short walk near the pool was very pleasant). Guide Nick was great company, knowledgeable, full of entertaining stories and interesting information. We stopped at a farm-gate stall on the way home and I got some of the most delicious cherries I have ever tasted! Recommended!Written 25 January 2025

- gillw1440 contributionsGreat day out exploring the stunning national parks.Fantastic day visiting 2 amazing places of natural beauty. Not for the faint hearted if you don’t like steps, as there are 400 of them, but well worth the effort. Lucas was a brilliant guide, very friendly, enthusiastic and full of knowledge about the areas, the wildlife, the plants and trees. The wildlife sanctuary was good too, and we got to see the Tasmanian devils. If I had the time I would do the whole trip again. Thoroughly recommendWritten 22 January 2025

The Freycinet and Wineglass bay tour was a wonderful experience and worth the drive there! The hike up 400 steps over the saddle to the lookout to see Wineglass Bay from up high was well worth the effort, and Ben our tour guide kept us amused all day with his Tasmania/Australian/European history and flora and fauna storytelling. He's cute AF too. Lunch at Honeymoon Bay was so peaceful and I'm glad i tried the mulled wine and oysters in Oyster Bay. Highly recommend this tour if you want to try a variety of activities in 1 day with a well organised tour company like Tours Tasmania.

Great tour! David our tour guide was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and comedic too.
My friend and I chose to do the full walk/hike to the viewing platform of wineglass bay, and continued the hike to wineglass bay beach and went for a swim. Weather was perfect, a little overcast but quite nice when you’re hiking. On the way back we stopped at Devils Corner Winery and got Van Diemens land Icecream (highly recommend!) and some others on our tour bus got some oysters and pizzas which they said was amazing.
Highly recommend the tour, especially if you’re unsure of what to do in Tassie or just looking for something to do outdoors. It’s a great experience for all ages.

I did this tour as part of the 'Big Three' three-day tour from Hobart to Launceston. The weather on the day of the tour was not ideal, lightly raining nearly the entire day, but I still had a lot of fun. The day started early picking everyone up from their hotels before making a quick stop shortly outside of Hobart for anyone needing to purchase lunch to take with them for the day. We made one additional stop along a beach before getting to the Freycinet National Park. From there, we had three options of walks, a short walk to a cafe/lunch spot, a walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout (a 45-minute uphill walk), or the option to extend your walk to the actual sands of Wineglass Bay (approximately 2.5 hours). Normally, I would have chosen the longer walk, but given the weather was rainy, and the guide advised there were a couple of sections of the walk to be careful on, our group of four opted for the walk to the lookout. Two of the members of the group stopped halfway to the lookout before turning to head towards the van as it was an uphill climb and a bit too much for them. After taking in the views overlooking Wineglass Bay, we headed to Honeymoon Bay and did the Cape Tourville Lighthouse Walk. The description says you stop at the Freycinet Marine Farm for oysters, but we did not, so maybe that is a seasonal thing. Because I did this as part of the 'Big Three' tour, I then switched buses to go to Launceston instead of back to Hobart so I can't comment on the trip to the Berry Farm. Overall, the day was long and tiring, but fun, and I learned a lot from the guides.

Wasn't happy with the tour, couldn't manage the walk to the lookout. Thought the National Park was poorly maintained and the walking track up to the lookout was very unsafe, with no railings. We ended up turning back halfway up due to this & then had to wait some time for everyone to return. The stop at Honeymoon Bay toveat lunch was shabby, limited seating. Wouldn't recommend this tour. Tour bus was also a little shabby & in need of some repair

This is a very beautiful part of the world. Even though it was raining the day we went we really enjoyed the walk to view Wineglass Bay.
On the way home we visited a winery - it was a nice winery but I was too tired to get the most out of the experience.

Great little trip outside of Hobart, perfect for anyone that doesn't have a vehicle to get around or if you don't fancy driving. Ben was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his job !! Plenty of downtime to explore and a day full of activities.. the wineglass bay beach is an absolute must, there is a lot of steps on the way back up but it's worth every second. Beautiful views at the winery after and food to celebrate all our hard work.

Andrew picked us up on time and he was nice chatty guide. The itinerary was as following
Stop 1: Sorell to grab a coffee and if needed get lunch as well. You might consider bringing packed lunch as this place doesn't have a lot of options.
Stop 2: Marine farm. The aim of this stop is those who fancy oysters or mussels to get a takeaway to have lunch later. Apart from oysters & mussels they only do fish and chips as takeaway. However as the lunch break is a lot later in the day better not have fish and chips as takeaway. I wish they didn't have this stop at all. The reason I am giving 4 stars to this trip.
Stop 3: Freycinet park to hike to the lookout for wine glass bay. The hike is worth for the view. You will get 2 options either do short walk and go to honeymoon bay for lunch or do a long walk and take your lunch at wineglass bay. From the lookout to the wineglass bay is 1000 steps (return to wineglass bay by climbing back those 1000 steps). Because my friends and I did short walk so our next stop was 4.
Stop 4: lunch at honeymoon bay. Very beautiful view to enjoy your picnic lunch.
Stop 5: light house. Nice view from the light house
Stop 6: Andrew dropped us at Sleepy bay for 20 mins to get the people who were doing long walk. The walk to sleepy way is breathtaking picture perfect. But 20 mins is not sufficient you have to rush yourself and not suitable for elderly people or anyone without fitness. I wish instead of the stop at Marine farm if we had been given more time here ... it would have been great.
Stop 7: Kate's berry farm... you MUST try their ice cream.
