A great day exploring the best of Tassie's distilleries!
My husband and I along with some friends did this tour. From the outset, everything was well organised and professional, with a personal feel. The tour guide had a great rapport with all the distillery owners, along with a great knowledge himself of the distillery process. He also had a great sense of humour, many laughs were shared through the day. We were able to taste a wide range of spirits, from vodka, whisky, gin, liqueurs and more whisky. We were even able to do some tastings direct from an oak barrel using a syphon to gather our individual tastes. To be honest, I am not usually a spirits drinker, but a whole new appreciation started this day and we may have taken home more than one bottle! My personal favourite was a unique bush liqueur. I would recommend this tour for both a spirits lover and newbie alike.

Taking in Tassie's beauty, tastings and Christmas shopping ticked off. A great day out.
I can't recommend this tour enough. It was a fabulous not too long of a day with friends. There's quite a few hidden gem quality distillery's in Tasmania and we got to see whiskey being made, tastings from the barrell, as well as liqueurs. Our hosts Craig and Dave were great fun and took interest in getting to know us as well. Value for money and jam packed yet there was time to take in Tassie's beauty. Bonus for me - I got a few Xmas presents ticked off along the way. Thanks guys and maybe we can do this again sometime.

A top of the world experience not to be missed
We are so glad we joined the tour to explore the lighthouse from top to bottom. Our guide Matt was a local with a vast store of knowledge and passion for his work. We learnt so much about this historic site and when we got to the top, the views were breathtakingly beautiful.

    A spectacular view
The Lighthouse to both great. The guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. The opportunity to walk around the top of the Lighthouse showed the full extent of the Granja of the beauty at Bruny Island. I would recommend this to anyone visiting as well as the walk down to the beach to see the grave markers and the convict garden

    Amazing view!
What a fantastic view! Our docent was lovely and informative. We were there in the winter so take a huge jacket because the wind will knock your socks off. We had a clear day to see everything! Careful with the parking lot, it’s small and muddy. No gift shop or food available, though the museum down below was interesting.

If you want a full day out on a guided tour with all inclusivefood and great sightseeing then this is the tour for you. The day started at 7am being picked up by our wonderful guide Grant near our hotel in Hobart CBD. We travelled 30 minutes to Kettering to catch the ferry to Bruny Island. First stop was to collect drive through oysters at Get Shucked, then some freshky baked bread and cheese for morning tea on the beach at Adventure Bay. Freshest and biggest oysters ever!! We climbed up a very steep hill to the light house and then up to the top of the light house for fabulous views. Both climbs were well worth the sore knees! We had lunch at Bruny Hotel (food was average but their 8% apple & cherry cider was yummo!). We then visited a honey place and chocolate place (both with free tastings) and the cheese place before heading back to catch the 4pm ferry home. Grant was a very knowledgeable and interesting guide who gave us a great day out. I highly recommend Bruny Island Safaris for an excellent value for money tour.

We were doing a driving tour of Tasmania from Hobart and back in a hire car. We could have driven over to Bruny Island (via the car ferry from Kettering to Robert’s Point) ourselves, but other relatives who had been recommended Bruny Island Safaris as a better alternative.
They were quite right. We could have driven ourselves, but I’m certain we would have seen all that we did see, nor as efficiently.
The day went like clockwork, thanks to driver/guide Grant.
The minibus from Hobart picked us up on Snug Caravan Park(near where we were staying, not far from Kettering) pretty well on time. Perfect.
Once on the Island, Grant bought fresh oysters (from Get Shucked - beautifully plump and tasty, we bought 3 dozen to take home on the way back), cheeses and fresh bread and set up a picnic with samples on Two Tree Point on Adventure Bay while we explored the beach. The fresh produce was outstanding.
During the day, we also visited the Bruny Island Chocolate Company and Bruny Island Honey for samples.
We saw a bit of wildlife and climbed Cape Bruny lighthouse. Number restrictions in the lighthouse meant we may not have been able to go in if we hadn’t been with Bruny Island Safaris.
Lunch was an exercise in efficiency too. Grant took our orders for the Bruny Hotel - including a seafood platter for 2! - early, and rang the hotel when we were on our way. The restaurant was busy, but our orders came out smartly. Day visitors would have been waiting to order and their food.
All up, it was a perfect day.

After waking up to a view of a windswept & snow covered Mount Wellington my wife & I thought our first adventure in Tasmania would be interesting & we were right. From stepping on to our tour bus pickup just outside our hotel, we were greeted by our driver & tour guide Rick. Being winter our trip consisted of only 14 passengers. From start to finish Rick’s commentary throughout the tour was amazing with all the historical, current & amazing facts on all of the people & places we past & visited in this 10 hour tour. On this day we experienced all weather conditions, sunny periods, rain, wind, sleet & even hail @ times, but we loved it. Although a few places were closed most businesses were open. Our morning tea food stop of fresh oysters & cheese that rick collected along the way was great sampling of local fresh produce, but our lunch @ the Bruny Island Hotel in front of the open fire was a warm welcome after visiting the lighthouse way up on the hill. The Bruny Island Safaris are a must do tour on anyone’s itinerary journey of Tasmania. Highly recommended

Excellent program.
On schedule itinerary, our guide/driver (Robert) is best we have come across, courteous, knowledgeable, punctual, friendly, entertaining and humerous. Reasonable tour cost includes satisfying morning snack, tasteful seafood platter lunch, multiple coffee breaks, fantastic local cheese and bread tasting breaks various cider sampling. High light includes spectacular view through the "Neck" of the north and south parts of Bruny Island and windy climb upstairs to reach the famous historic Light House.
A full day of entertainment well worth attending. Highly recommended

Outstanding!!
Rick is by far one of the best tour guides we have ever experienced. He is the all-star well rounded combination of knowledgable, informative, humorous, engaging, and had a genuine concern about safety. Top effort from a top bloke.
The tour itself was well organised and highly efficient - it focussed on maximising our time at the attractions and the local produce shopfronts. It all work e like clock work.

Also we must acknowledge the excellent ‘back office’ customer service from Craig. Given the recent pick up in demand for this tour, Craig put us on a waiting list for the day we wanted and was in daily communication providing relevant updates. He managed to arrange a second bus and let us know ASAP allowing us to secure the tour on the only day we had free. His customer service was beyond exceptional.

All in all this was a solid 5 star experience

Rick, our fabulous tour guide who is gusto with local knowledge, joke telling and time keeping as it keeps the day moving enabling everyone to enjoy all the tourist sights and more. Sit back, relax and be prepared to have your taste buds tantalised on local gourmet. Learn the geography, history and local information of top tourist destinations that are on your itinerary as well. Comfortable clothing is recommended as there as many steps to climb to some destinations.

A great tour!!! Grant was wonderful - commentary was great, and everywhere we visited was super relevant and interesting. Perfect for any traveller that doesn’t want the fuss of navigating their way around an island they’ve never been to before. COVID safe measures were in place, with the exception of a crowded restaurant (which was still adhering to all COVID standards, just a bit too crowded if you’re still wanting to properly social distance). Nonetheless, a wonderful tour with lots of insta-worthy pic opportunities!

Bonus: this tour was a great opportunity to support local businesses if you’re interested in that also.

Very well put together small bus (max20) tour all inclusive with tastings and lunch (we had the seafood platter for 2 which we highly recommend).
Our tour guide and driver, Jeff, was excellent - very helpful and managed to keep the fairly packed tour on schedule without rushing us.
The highlight was morning tea of fresh island produce nicely served by Jeff on Adventure Beach.
Would recommend thus tour.

Rick, our tour guide was an amazing encyclopaedia of local knowledge. We reviewed various tour operators and decided to go with Bruny island safari tours as they had great reviews. if you want a small group ( up to 13 people) in a small and comfortable bus then this is for you. The scenery was amazing, we had lots of stops without being rushed at any venue. The morning nibbles of Bruny island fresh oysters were divine . Added to that we had a range of local cheeses on crusty local wood fired sourdough bread. Resolution point in the background , made it a superb setting that no where else I have been too compares.

The lighthouse walk was absolutely beautiful and with Rick’s botanical knowledge a taste of the local lemonade bush berries were a treat.

Lunch at the local cafe of a seafood platter, presented the most tender calamari I have ever tasted. Off to the local fudge tasting next. The husband couldn’t help himself and about $100 poorer , we have a whiskey souvenir of Bruny Island whisky.

Local honey tasting and more beautiful scenery. We got dropped off at our hotel at about 5pm, safe and sound. Truly a wonderful tour that is worth every penny. Go quality and you will not regret it.

The group of people we travelled with were very nice, not a painful person on the bus. Rick was a great tour guide, cannot rate him high enough. Lots of entertaining stories.

Thanks Rick for a great day, we were the Sandgropers from the west that sat behind you all the day. i did say I would write a review.

Our engaging guide Grant really made this tour a great experience. His knowledge of history and the local area added to the beautiful scenery. This tour is very comprehensive and full of inclusions - a delicious morning tea of local oysters, cheese and freshly cooked sourdough on the beach at Adventure Bay. Lunch at the Bruny Pub with a large selection of mains - we had the lamb and it was superb. It includes a tour inside the South Bruny lighthouse with an experienced guide. The scenery here is like nothing else and you might even spot a white wallaby or white peacock on your journey. I would highly recommend this tour - particularly loved that we could sit back and relax while someone else did the driving.
