Overview
Skip the hassle of renting a car to visit Mt. Wellington on a half-day tour from Hobart by coach. Head up to the mountain's summit where, on a clear day, you get great views of Hobart, Bruny Island, D’Entrecasteaux Channel, and The Organ Pipes rock formation. We scheduled this trip and was a lot of fun. The ride to the top of Mount Wellington was interesting and tight roads. The view was spectacular at 4,170 feet. At the top, there was snow and sleet with complete could cover. Within 15 minutes, the clouds were gone and got the view

We scheduled this tour over a month in advance not knowing what the weather would be like. The day was beautiful and we found out we were the only ones going on the day we were scheduled. We so appreciate that we were then taken on a private tour (instead of it being cancelled

The bus driver was great but the trip to my wellington for 2 people on a rainy day was a complete waste of time and money grayline should have given us an option to go on another day as why take a coach up to mt wellington on a wet and cloudy day for just 2 people to see

Response from AdamGLTAS, Manager at Mount Wellington Tour from Hobart
Responded 14 Mar. 2019
Dear P2720BJstuarts, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am pleased to hear you thoughts regarding our driver guide although disappointed to hear our tour did not meet your expectations. We travel to Mt Wellington twice a day up to 7 days a week. All our tours depart with minimum numbers to ensure we do not disappoint our valued guests with cancellations. kunanyi/Mount Wellington rises 1,271 metres above Hobart therefore weather conditions can be fine in Hobart yet on the Mountain snowfalls in spring, summer and autumn are common. A day on the summit can consist of clear sunny skies, then rain, then snow, then icy winds and then clear again. These conditions can add to the excitement of the tour. We make every effort to provide enjoyable, memorable and informative tours. Unfortunately the weather is beyond our control however we are always happy to shift our guests days to another day prior to the tour departure if they wish. Our driver guides are always more than happy to provide tours to small groups in all weather conditions, we do not believe this is shameful. I encourage you to contact me directly at feedback@experiencetas.com.au as I am unable to find your booking in our reservations system and we'd like to hopefully correct your dissatisfaction.
