- Y6663JVkatrinac0 contributionsFantastic Adelaide Hidden Bar TourWe had a fantastic time on the Adelaide hidden bar tour. We visited 4 different bars, which we would never have found on our own. Our terrific guide Ryan told us about each bar and gave recommendations on what cocktails were house specialities . He also shared some interesting stories about the drinking past of Adelaide and showed us some unique street art as we walked between the bars. The bars were each an experience, and so different from each. The cocktails were some of the best we have had!! This was a memorable tour and we highly recommend it.Written 28 January 2025
- X4742TBryanc0 contributionsA Perfect Balance of History, Fun and RelaxationSuch a great tour! Dax was a fantastic guide whose knowledge of Adelaide's history is truly impressive. While wandering through some of the city's most important buildings and landmarks, Dax weaved a fascinating tale of the history of the city and the accomplishments of it's people along with funny anecdotes about some of it's more quirky characters. I really appreciated the mix of walking and taking a leisurely cruise on the Popeye Boat. All in all, I had a great time and would reccomend it to anyine visiting Adelaide. Radelaide Tours managed to create a perfect balance of History, Fun and Relaxation. What a fantastic experience!Written 16 January 2025
- sandralV759GP0 contributionsWant a Phenomenal Tour? Book with Dax at Radelaidetours.com!I highly recommend Dax, book a walking tour with him in Adelaide and I am sure you will soon be singing his praises too! Before the option to do a walking tour in Adelaide was available, my best friend and I had the pleasure of spending 14 days with Dax on a tour across the beautiful country of Australia. Dax was enthusiastic from day 1. Our flight arrived late resulting in our missing the first group meet up. However, once we made it to the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by a knock on the door to find Dax there to greet us. He wanted to make sure everything was going well and provided a private overview of the missed group meeting. We knew from that visit he was going to be a fantastic tour guide and he did not disappoint! Dax was enthusiastic throughout the tour. He had in-depth knowledge of all the areas visited. Dax has a kind, engaging personality and was attentive to every member of our group. His communication skills were excellent. He was outgoing and funny, and spent time with us after touring for the day was complete. He shared knowledge of appetizing places to dine and often joined us for a bite. Dax was very organized and always punctual. We couldn't have asked for a better guide; Dax truly enriched our experience.Written 7 December 2024
- MP480 contributionsAmazing walking art tour in AdelaideDax was my guide. His knowledge of Adelaide street art and the artists was amazing. I chose this tour because it didn’t concentrate on just one artist, and it didn’t disappoint. We walked for the 2 hour tour and took a tram to save an extra 20 minute walk! I saw a variety of artists and their different styles, and got some history of Adelaide as well. I highly recommend this tourWritten 5 November 2024
- 186meredithe0 contributionsWalking Tour of GlenelgWe had a very interesting tour of Glenelg, learning about the history and introducing us to some of the heritage buildings in the area. Dax was a terrific guide. I enjoyed his stories about the people involved in each place. They humanised the history. The tour was 1 and a half hours long and covered about 2 kilometres so very doable.Written 31 October 2024

- LibbyW5160 contributionsA great way to get the story behind GlenelgGlenelg was the beginning of South Australia but you wouldn't know it from just visiting. - U4934FIrobertn0 contributionsExcellent Tour Guide. Could not have asked for anyone better. We visited Australia in November of 2023. Dax was our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When my luggage was lost, he took extra time to drive me into town to pick up necessary replacements. He was very good at explaining everything we were seeing. He had amazing detail in his explanations of why things were done the way they were. He spent his time off taking us to favorite restaurants so we could get the local flavor of the places we visited. Overall, he went above and beyond what I was expecting. I can't say enough about the extras he provided and his knowledge of the areas we visited with him.Written 9 April 2024
- marytT331YH0 contributionsBrilliant Guide!I recently took a tour of Australia and Dax was our tour guide for the whole tour. He was fantastic. We really enjoyed our Ultimate Adelaide walking tour and thoroughly recommend it to other visitors to this beautiful city. Our guide Fax was warm and engaging, very informative and obviously very proud of his adopted home city. He took us to all of the major sights in the CBD and gave us lots of recommendations for other places of interest. We really enjoyed learning about the history of the city, as well as more quirky insights such as the meaning of the Pilotes signs all around the city, the reason for the slightly odd naming convention of the CBD streets, and the rationale for the city plan. This was a great way to orient ourselves in Adelaide

This is our first time in Adelaide and we wanted to find out about the city and gain a better understanding of the history, arts, food and culture. Radelaide gave us all of this in the tour and more. Dax was friendly, made us feel very welcome as set off on our private walking tour around Adelaide city.
He walked at our pace and share many stories around the characters that helped Adelaide become what it is today, share stories of the history and gave us tips around where to go, what to see or look out for whilst we were in Adelaide. No big sales or push to certain cafes or souvenir places, just really great local knowledge that we would never have found searching in internet. The city is very easy to walk around and the time went really quickly. Thank you Dax it was an absolute highlight.

Dax is the guide you go to in order to discover some quintessential SA food, why so many streets suddenly change names (and how to pronounce them!), the story behind statues from royalty to pigeons, the locations of some striking street art and architecture, what and why makes SA and Adelaide worth a visit and, significantly, more than enough to help you enjoy your time in Adelaide. Dax is a friendly fount of knowledge and we highly recommend his walking tour.

Dax facilitated a memorable city tour with his entertaining and factual commentary, which captured the spirit of Adelaide. It was so helpful to understand a little of the history of the city and its development, linked to various landmarks on the tour and some quirky fun facts. A major bonus for us was that it provided an informed platform for the remainder of our stay. I am 74yrs and found the pace relaxed and easy to manage. I would have no hesitation in recommending the tour.

This is absolutely a must-do in Adelaide! We were only in Adelaide for 36 hours so decided to do a walking tour to get a feel for the city. Dax is the perfect tour guide - enthusiastic, engaging, informative, funny & very knowledgeable - I don't think there was a question about Adelaide that he couldn't answer!
This tour is really well balanced in terms of the distance we walked, allowing time for pauses to take photos, and a stop for snacks. 100% recommend for anyone spending time in Adelaide. I only wish we'd had more time in the city so we could go back to explore some of the places we passed by in more detail. Thank you Dax!

Dax guides an amazing walking tour of the central part of Adelaide!. He is so knowledgeable of the history of the city, architecture and people that have made Adelaide. He even provides a taste of Adelaide with a local beverage and snack at a convenient break point. It is so much more interesting to walk the city than drive around and have someone comment on points of interest.

Hi Lloyd,
Thank you for the wonderful review and it is great to hear you really enjoyed the tasting of local South Australia drink and snacks. We believe you cant come to Adelaide without trying Farmers union iced coffee , and some fruchocs and yoyos.
We also fully agree the best ay to see the city is by foot.

I think it's one thing that sets us apart from our competitors. Our street art tour is getting released in a week's time on Viator so keep your eyes peeled for it and hope to see you on it soon.
