As an almost 76 years old women, I can tell that this tour was a long life’s dream coming true!! From the very first contact with the company I felt that I could trust all they promised. AND I’m NOT disappointed, - everything has been very well planed and went as expected. In many ways due to our fabulous guide Dan, and his sweet girlfriend who help him by cooking delicious meals for us. He has a great knowledge of many things. Let it be history or geology, - but especially the outback and the aboriginal culture, - it was a pleasure to meet his aboriginal friends, who gave us a VERY speciel experience! Simply amazing! Not only has Dan a great knowledge, but it was clear that he enjoyed sharing this knowledge with us guests. And with great humor and good music too. I have to be honest, - the summer heat was a bit challenging….but not only for me old woman.😉 I was happy for the alternative walks I could choose, though. Sleeping in the swags under the billion stars was wonderful, and can’t really be described. Big THANKS!

I did the 8-Day Adelaide to Uluru Tour in February 2025 as a solo traveller and had the most amazing time with a great group of people. The tour was brilliant and well organised from start to finish. Our tour guide Steve was great - he was good company, told interesting stories and facts, pointed out the wildlife, made sure we had good food each day and enough water and suitable shoes for hikes. I would highly recommend this tour - it was fantastic and a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you untamed escapes!

This tour is probably the best way to explore the Outback and see its hidden gems. We visited breathtaking locations, lookouts, canyons, and encountered plenty of wildlife along the way. Dan, our guide, was experienced, knowledgeable, and hilarious af. Plus, he has excellent taste in music. This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my trip through Australia. Highly recommend—10/10!

We are return costumers of untamed escapes. Our first experience with Ian (Beebs) was so great that we came back and asked if he could be our tour guide again for Coffin bay day tour. We had a fantastic time. Visiting Coffin Bay national park, lunch at Oyster HQ, Oyster boat tour, wine tasting, so many little visits and sights to see. Incredible experience.

The 10-day tour from Perth to Adelaide was absolutely amazing. Great beaches, great hikes, lots of encounters with Australian wildlife, and sleeping in a swag sleeping bag under the stars. Our tour guide Elliott did a great job. His knowledge and expertise about Australia, the wildlife and the Aboriginal culture is impressive. Food preferences were also taken into account and variety was provided. Last but not least, I would also like to recommend the optional activity of swimming with sea lions and dolphins. An unforgettable experience!

South Australia is just amazing. I would have never camped there and experience the Outback without Dan and Untamed Escapes. Dan was an excellent tour guide and cared for his clients. He was very knowledgeable and worked hard to make the trip as fun as possible. The Aboriginal experiences we had along the way was outstanding. Getting to speak with the original owners was priceless. Thank you so much!!!!

There has never been a greater adventure than the 8 day Adelaide to Uluru tour with tour guide Dan! He managed to make it the experience of a lifetime. Never lost his sense of humour despite serveral problems and always went the extra mile to make the experience even more special for us than it was anyway. Thanks also to Untamend Escapes who let us stay in air-conditioned 4-bed-rooms once after a hard day so we could revitalize. You should be expecting an outdoor adventure and be willing to help a lot and be fit to get up early, walk a lot, drive a lot, deal with changes of plan.

Saw some amazing places, loved the swag camping. Unfortunately a virus seemed to spread through group so quite a few of us not feeling our best at various times however really nice group of people who looked after eachother. Slightly disorganised in the first half and instructions on what was expected of us not overly clear and felt perhaps we weren't the most popular group however this improved significantly in second half. Hikes challenging but fun.Guide and his partner worked hard, very long hours of work and big group to keep track of, very good cooks and extremely knowledgeable about the environment and wildlife.

Superb trip, brilliantly led by Gary and Hannah who were thoughtful, organised, responsive, knowledgable and fun. Saw some amazing things which I’d never have experienced had I attempted to cover that distance on my own. Highly recommended.

The "10 Days from Perth to Adelaide" tour was my very first tour in Australia, and I could not have been happier with my choice. In the last few days, I was not only able to swim at the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, observe Australian wildlife such as koalas, dolphins, seals, kangaroos (and even a great white shark) up close, and sleep daily under a starlit sky, but I also made long-lasting memories with an amazing group of people. Special thanks go to our tour guide, Jackson, who made this trip unforgettable. Thank you for the tasty, freshly cooked meals (and my vegetarian options), thank you for your valuable knowledge about First Nations culture and Australian wildlife, and thank you for your light-hearted jokes and the laughter we shared!

I'm not a fan of tour groups as I prefer travelling on my own. As this part of the world is not really for people who can't drive, then a tour is the only option. It's a unique tour when everybody gets along, everybody is lovely and most importantly when the guide is amazing. It was a wonderful group to be amongst. The most inspiring thing I found about Jackson, was his lust for life and his love of cooking. This guy is a maniac (in a good way) in all the camp kitchens including roadside cooking. He had me at Bailey's cheesecake. At that point he could do no wrong...he made a frigging Bailey's cheesecake while camping. As a guide, he's informative, engaging and so personable. He tells fantastic stories and has a great sense of humour. This goes a long way when you're rained on while in your swag at 3am and everything is wet, the bus decides to play up along the way, will it start? or is it don't turn off the engine! to road train explosion in the Nullarbor causing road closures, bush fires and an overnight at the Roadhouse. We were all still relaxed, having fun and making the most of every experience. It was definitely a truly unforgetable road trip with truly awesome people, well navigated and managed by an experienced and outstanding guide. Even his hair is amazing. It's so annoying 🤣

Thank you to everyone from the "Ultimate Escapes" - the tour guides Tom and "Jerry", the behind the since staff that created and supported this itinerary and fellow travellers who made these 10 days unforgettable. We travelled a bit over 4200 km, filled with adventure and camaraderie. We tackled together beautiful hikes, slept in swags (and some of us for a few nights decided to have the luxury in tents) which added a unique touch to the experience. The diversity of Australia truly is something special. I was thinking the long drive through Nullarbor would be boring, but happen to discover a stunning beauty of the coast - The Great Australian Bight - with its dramatic cliffs and gorgeous ocean with the whales … and when you think, further down, opposite them is Antarctica Cape Le Grand NP - another place that I really enjoyed very much. The beaches are stunning. The whitest and finest sand in the world is in Lucky Bay where we were really "lucky" to spend 2 days. The water is crystal clear and dipping your legs in the freezing water after a long hike was so refreshing.. oh, those those little moments were the best! In general, this trip was intense, a bit physically demanding, but the more time passes, the more we appreciate and like the experience.

This trip surpassed my expectations. The walks in the Flinders Ranges, Kings Canyon, Kata Tjuta and Uluru were enchanting and the views were breath-taking. It was also my first time sleeping in a swag under the stars and I loved it! This tour is solo-friendly as you are travelling with like-minded folk and Jack, our guide, was a natural at making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Our group was well looked after by him whether that be in the variety of food and meals, the time taken to answer our questions and the numerous toilet stops! Jack has the right combination of fun and attentiveness. He has an engaging way of sharing his knowledge of Aboriginal culture and stories which set the scene for our walks beautifully. This tour delivers a bucket list of memories at a comfortable and chilled pace. I had the best time and would highly recommend this tour.

This trip was spectacular. Jack, our guide was amazing and created the most inclusive atmosphere. Highly recommend! From swag camping under the stars in Ikara Flinders Ranges, to the oddities of the Outback desert, the magnificent Valley of the Winds in Kata Tjuta and Uluru, this trip is a delight. Jack has a great respect for Aboriginal culture and stories, a respect for the land, a knowledge of geology and gives 110% to make sure his guests experience the magic and rawness of the Aussie outback and country in all its glory.

This tour was one of the best things I've done in my time in Australia. We started in Adelaide and travelled through some really amazing places in a slept on South Australia to Uluru. The tour was really well organised, with so much to do it was busy but also really relaxed. Cost of the tour may seem high but with most food included we spent very little for the week! We got to see the most unique landscapes and wildlife in a lovely small group setting. The camping facilities were great and the swags comfy. The food provided was amazing with plenty of variety unlike other tours I've been on. The standout of the tour was our guide Jack.He went above and beyond at all times for us to answer the most difficult questions we threw at him! He was extremely informative and passionate, which made the tour a real experience rather than just a trip to see the sights. He was brilliant with any issues and most importantly was a great laugh and we all had so much fun. I would highly recommend untamed and Jack for a real once in lifetime experience.
