      Great experience on the water.
What a great way to explore Adelaide CBD. The Popeye cruise was excellent and very informative. We had a great time cruising up and down the Torrens river. The location is close to the casino and railway station. Well worth it.

      Cruising the Torrens
We loved our 45 minute boat ride on the river. The captain told us interesting facts about Adelaide and its history. The views were beautiful and to sit and relax was delightful. The kids on board had opportunity to beep the boat's horn, which went down well. Locals were friendly and waved as we passed

Devonshire tea and a really nice cuppa
Captain Tony was great and had a lovely smile. We had the Devonshire tea. Scones were huge and light and fluffy. Nice with jam and cream which was plentiful. The other staff members were friendly and helpful.

A unique, quality experience, fun, relaxing and good value
While relaxing as we cruised along the River Torrens, we enjoyed tasting three exceptional gins from the KI spirits company (included in fare) and an informative commentary from our guide. We had pre-ordered a tasty charcuterie platter and extra drinks, all ready for us when we boarded. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere convivial, abs the views of the city and riverbank delightful.

Really enjoyed this cruise. It is well worth the money and time. The commentary was excellent and very friendly staff. I made an error in my booking and they were very accommodating to change it for me. Highly recommended and great customer service.

      Devonshire Tea cruise with Popeye
We took the Devonshire tea cruise and although not a long cruise, it was lovely cruising along the Torrens. Scones with jam and cream were delicious and staff were so friendly and informative. Definitely recommend this cruise.

      Sailing in the sun
This boat trip was easy to book and even easier to find. The captain and Anastasia worked hard to make our tour enjoyable and informative. We pre ordered the Devonshire tea ticket. We were so pleased we did. The raspberry jam was the freshest homemade jam we’d had in ages. The scones were fresh and super tasty. The captain knew so much about the buildings, history and wild life along the river. We thoroughly enjoyed our wee journey…strongly recommend it.

      Devonshire Tea cruise
We did the devonshire tea cruise on Popeye today. the weather was chilly and grey, but the cruise was still lovely to do. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The devonshire tea was very nice, the scones were light and fluffy on the inside and the jam and cream was tasty. The cruise down the river brought back childhood memories but with many new buildings around to look at and to learn about from the captains comentary. Overall it was a very enjoyable trip.

      Great for all ages
We had a great time on the Popeye! The captain was excellent, his knowledge of Adelaide was great, i am born and raised in Adelaide i learnt things i never knew! He was great with the kids on board that included my grandson, letting them press the horn and telling stories about the tunnel that had him intrigued. The young off sider was very pleasant and very helpful too. A great activity if you are local or visiting from elsewhere

Booked the trip online (but you can pay at the time) a short cruise of about 30 minutes up the Torrens River to the weir, then towards the zoo landing and back.
An informative guide who told the history of the Popeye boats and pointed out interesting sights peppered with anecdotes and old photos.
    Enjoyable and well worth doing.

Friendly, well run and entertaining tour, what we saw and the information provided was excellent. A great 45 mins on the river to see some beautiful sights, fauna, flora and a view of the city and surrounds from a different angle. Clearly, the history of the Popeye boats is something to be proud of in Adelaide. We're really glad we did it.

I hadnt been on the Popeye for about 30 years, but it still doesn't disappoint.
The online booking was easy and the Popeye was at the embarkation point on time and the return trip took the specified 45 mins.
The cruise was calm and relaxed. The boat driver provided commentary without being overbearing.
At one stage he allowed a couple of the young kids (under 4yo) to sit in the captain's chair and "drive" the boat.
On our cruise there wasn't demand for food or drinks from the cruisers and it wasn't forced upon us neither.
Just one minor point, at the outset the driver's assistant said, unless I heard him wrong, that coffee and tea was complimentary, but no mention of that was made again.
All in all its a relaxing and fun thing to do for under an hour, and particularly so if you have kids.

This was a last minute booking as we were trying to find something to do to escape the heat. Whilst the boat isn't airconditioned, being on the water was a great escape from the heat and gave us a different view of the city. The staff were freindly with great commentary on the various buildings, their history and uses. Thank you

Cruising along the river is always so much more pleasant than walking along the paths in the heat! Happy to be of some entertaining reprieve for you. Thanks for coming aboard

A nice cruise along the Torrens River. The captain was great with his commentary and provided plenty of information on the history of Adelaide. Kids on board got a go of steering the boat, I did too just because it happen to be my birthday. All good fun! Enjoyed a cup of tea too which was included. Well worth doing.

Great short boat trip along the Torrens River. The crew were very friendly and gave an interesting commentary during the trip as we rode past landmarks including the Adelaide Oval. The cost was reasonable at $24 each and drinks were available to purchase also. Nice way to spend 45 -50 minutes.

I booked a Sunday morning outing for 3 generations of my family and it was a very pleasant and educational 45 minutes. We had beautiful weather and lots of room on Popeye. I hadn't been on Popeye for many, many years - since they were green canvas roofs! Lots to see and learn from the commentary on board. One of those hidden gems in our own backyard that we tend to overlook as locals but it is a 'must do' for all South Australians and visitors to our fine state. Go on ... books family outing!

What a nice way to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city, wineries, tours… We really enjoyed the Popeye Torrens cruise - a great way to spend an hour just sitting, looking and listening. Lots of bits and pieces we didn’t know and very relaxing. The crew were great, friendly and happy to share their knowledge.
