    Well Worth the Money
Given the heat we set out on our tour with some trepidation however we didn’t need to worry. The tour was just over an hour and a half and so interesting we forgot about the heat. Adelaide is a fascinating place with a mix of both the new and old. Our guide pointed out all the interesting buildings and made good suggestions for further exploration. All in all well worth the money

Hugely enjoyable walk providing a great introduction to Adelaide
The walk was a great introduction to Adelaide on the first day of our visit. Although only 90 minutes long it was packed with interesting stories and facts. Katina was an excellent, experienced guide providing very useful advice for our stay in Adelaide. She kept us safe from the sun and traffic. There was lots of laughter. If it’s your first time in Adelaide I’d strongly recommend taking this walk on day one to help orientate yourself.

Flamboyance Tours - Great showcasing the Old Port side of Adelaide
We arrived in Adelaide between Boxing Day & New Year and deliberately didn't book any tours in Adelaide until we could see what the weather was doing, so we booked this tour last minute. Our guide "Kat" or "Cat" (I didn't ask her how to spell it) was patient with us and worked around some of the usual sites of this tour being closed for the holidays; she did a very good job with that. I give this tour high marks because of the personal attention she put into it, delivering services above & beyond what we paid for. This tour itself/ what to expect: This tour near the old port explains the history of this side of Adelaide along the Port River. It mostly developed as a shipping and industrial center in the later half of the 1800s, with pubs to service the industrial workers, seafarers and wharfies along that same timeframe. It became a center for shopping and commerce into the 1900s, then fell on harder times as shopping moved to other venues (wholesalers and malls), as an alternative port was built taking the workers elsewhere, and as this area competed with the other side of Adelaide planned by Colonel Light. However! the history is very well preserved and it's been culturally enriched with lots of city-sanctioned and impressive street art. The old jail and other old buildings are now museums. It seems like most of the old buildings from the 1800s have survived well and are being revitalized/ historically preserved and appreciated. Trendy modern condos/ apartments are going up to bring a new generation of people, who enjoy being surrounded by the history, to the area. We got more than we paid for in this tour. Enjoy a drinks and a meal while on this side of town; there are loads of options over there. Great opportunity to see the older side of Adelaide.

Katina has a lovely manner and good relationships with the vendors. Will do another tour with her when next in Adelaide.

Fun interesting and great introduction into Adelaide.
Kat ran our tour, she is friendly, knowledgeable and part of the community. Eileen and I thoroughly enjoyed the information and bubbly fun loving nature Kat delivered on the walking tour. We saw a new side to the city walking through some of the back streets not only the highways. I can certainly recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour of the Adelaide market
I was looking for a tour in the Central Market but most places only took bookings for at least two people. Travelling solo that wasn't an option for me but Katina had no problem at all which basically gave me a solo tour! Her knowledge and perfect connection to the market is incredible, the bits and pieces to try were delicious and the coupons for some discounts after the tour came in handy as well. All in all a great experience that I would definitely recommend!

    Great Tour
This tour moves fast and packs a lot in during its 90 min length, perfect for a quick overview of downtown Adelaide. It's a nice mix of history, architecture, and contemporary Adelaide, including shopping and food spots. Katina, our guide, was very knowledgeable and has a lot of enthusiasm for Adelaide.

Port Adelaide Showcased on Walking Tour
Not having spent a lot of time in Port Adelaide, I found the Walking Tour excellent. Katina had a wealth of knowledge to share with my friend & me. We explored old buildings, saw examples of street art & learnt much about the history of the port. We enjoyed a delicious cheesecake from a bakery established in 1870 & a drink at one of the local hotels. A truly worthwhile experience!

We loved our ‘F Factor: Adelaide Food Tour’ and would highly recommend it to visitors and locals alike. Our very knowledgeable guide Katina shared the history of Adelaide’s food icons, starting with Haigh’s Chocolates in Adelaide Arcade and finishing with a delicious bakery lunch at the Central Market, visiting and sampling South Australian specialties along the way. Katina’s commentary was engaging and entertaining and we came away with a new appreciation of our state’s food heritage.

Our guide Katina was excellent. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited, could answer any curve balls thrown at her and was obviously passionate about her city. The tour was very well organised with each location ready with our goodies, and there were a lot of them! We certainly didn't go hungry. We had a vegetarian on our tour so she had organised alternatives for that person in advance. I'd highly recommend this walking tour, I broke my foot two months ago and it wasn't difficult for me to participate. So, I'd say its great for anyone. My takeaway, go the Skala pie, it was thoroughly delicious.

My husband and I both really enjoyed the tour as an introduction to the city. Kat had lots of interesting information which gave depth to lots of the stops we made...and food we tried. She had lots of personal connections to places she talks about, which made it feel very real and not just somebody delivering a speech.
As a result we made an effort to get to try a local food for dinner...a pie floater which we both enjoyed very much too!
Would strongly recommend this tour to tourists and locals as Kat’s information would be relevant to both!

Today my mum and I used our SA Great State experience voucher. We chose The F Factor Food Tour run by Katina from Flamboyance Tours. I am a proud Adelaidian and absolutely love supporting South Australian products.

We highly recommend doing this tour for locals and interstate overseas travellers.

Thank you Katina from the moment we were greeted right through the whole tour you were so warm and welcoming. I love how passionate you are about South Australia and the amazing products we have to offer.

After the tour we stayed on at The Adelaide Central Markets and bought some amazing South Australian products.

I look forward to joining one of your other tours soon.

Katina is a phenomenal, lovely and down-to-earth human who made the experience of the tour like you were being shown around the city by a friend. My partner and I loved how she tied in her nostalgia for the city with her memories, humour and history. It was such a thoughtful tour that is worth every penny. Loved learning about the family owned and operated food business’s in Adelaide today! Katina is a local and really knows the history of the places we visited and the food we tried.
Come with an empty stomach though as we were given samples of chocolate, nuts, pastries, pies, iced coffee and small goods.
Loved that the tour ended in the Central Market and I was able to pick up some yummy food for a home made pizza for dinner.
Totally recommend anyone visiting Adelaide to take this tour 👍🙏🏻

We thoroughly enjoyed The F Factor tour with Katina who was a very friendly and highly engaging guide. Her love of Adelaide shone throughout the tour!

As locals it was so lovely to slow down and sample some of SA’s food icons whilst listening to some very interesting tales about the places we often take for granted.

A great experience and can absolutely recommend to others without hesitation.

My husband and I just spent a lovely 2 hours walking around Adelaide sampling some delicious food with the very knowledgeable and enthusiastic Katina. Even though we are both residents of Adelaide we learnt a lot of interesting facts that we were not aware of and my husband tasted his first frog cake! I can thoroughly recommend this tour and make sure you don’t eat before hand. Katina was very accommodating with letting us reschedule our original date at the last minute due to me getting COVID. Thanks again Katina for a wonderful day.
