          Unreliable Tour Provider
The company will cancel late on you if they don't have sufficient tour interest, leaving you little time to prepare for alternate tours or other activities, ie like a day or two before a scheduled tour. Be wary that they actually provide a scheduled tour. They left me in a relatively last minute lurch. DO NOT RECOMMEND. In addition, management is fairly rude/brusque with customers. DO NOT RECOMMEND

We enjoyed a lovely lunch and found the trip up river is be very interesting. Our tour guide/driver ROY really made our day. At the end of the tour he even took us to Gleneld Beach for a drive by. I would reoment CP Tours. Marie

          Somewhat disappointing
Roy was great and engaging, making the journey enjoyable. The bus was a little cramped though. Major issue was that the cruise boat suffered mechanical issues 1/2 hr in which aborted the cruise. I would have thought there would have been pre-start checks early morning that would have detected this earlier allowing for repair or a revised itinerary, rather than tourists sitting on a docked boat for 1 and 3/4 hrs. To be fair, they did put on 2 free drinks each, and the planned meal, but this was an integral part of the tour. Without Roy, it would have to have been a 2.

Great day out to experience the Barossa
We had a great day out with Hayley our guide. It was only a small group, so very enjoyable. The highlight being the stop at Lambert Estate winery, with a great lunch and wine tasting. We are not big wine drinkers, so the explanation of each wine and the processes involved in making the wines was exceptional by Gavin at Lambert Estate plus Hayley and Rob. Plenty of time at all the other stops on the tour, a great way to see and experience the Barossa in a day. It was a very enjoyable day.

Get onboard with this excellent tour!
So glad we did this. Thanks to Hayley, Rob & the Captain Proud crew for their excellent service and looking after us throughout the day, giving us lasting memories. Apart from making the logistics easier, being in a small group of 5 was a real bonus as we enjoyed the commentary, shared stories, laughs and an excellent lunch cruising with our travel buddies on the mighty Murray River. I highly recommend CP Tours for a friendly, informative and relaxed way to enjoy the Adelaide Hills and Murray cruise experience.

Phil was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also very friendly, making the entire trip both enjoyable and engaging. I brought my parents along, and I particularly appreciated how he always made a point of pointing out the locations of public restrooms at each stop. Don’t miss the chance to explore Adelaide’s stunning coastal side - Phil ensured we saw all the best spots along the way.

          An enjoyable day out.
Our driver Roy had us entertained from the start and we had a lovely day for a relaxing and interesting trip on the Murray. Even made the news that evening, which showed our boat while promoting safety on the river. Would highly recommend.

Loved the Captain Proud Lunch Tour, Beerenberg, Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills.
It was a fantastic day trip through Murray Bridge, Hahndorf on the way to the Captain Proud Paddleboat for our cruise on the mighty Murray River. Our tour bus driver was Roy and he made us chuckle during the long drive to our destinations with some fun and unoffensive jokes. We saw lovely scenery at Mount Lofty Summit, spent half an hour at the wonderful Beerenberg where free tastings of jams and sauces were offered. Captain Steve steered the paddleboat and was delightful and provided great commentary during the three-hour long cruise. The staff onboard were friendly and professional. The mains onboard the boat tasted okay and the dessert was delicious. We had Chicken Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, Vegetarian Lasagne then Strawberry icecream and Fresh Fruit Salad with vanilla icecream. The strawberry icecream was vanilla icecream drizzled with strawberry sauce and had one strawberry on top rather than the icecream being strawberry flavoured. The fruit salad had blueberries which we love. We chose a day of brilliant weather (32 degrees C) for our Captain Proud lunch cruise and the three hours passed quickly as there was plenty of action on the water to watch such as people on jet skis and kayaking. Our final stop was the historic German town of Hahndorf where we had an hour to explore the shops and eateries. We recommend the Frozen Yoghurt shop, Otto's Bakery and the German Cuckoo Clocks shop. The Parlour Icecreamery was closed at the time we visited Hahndorf. Thank you Roy and CP Tours and Charters for an excellent day.

          Very enjoyable
The tour was at a gentle pace with plenty of time to look around at each stop. Lunch on the paddle boat was delicious. Symone, our guide was informative without overburdening with facts. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

From the moment we boarded we knew we were going to have a great time. Roy our driver was extremely entertaining and had a whole bag of jokes up his long sleeves, it definitely kept us all amused on the journey. We had a mixed group of 4 young ladies in their 20’s and 6 oldies(50+) and we all got on like a house on fire, so much so that we were all exchanging details at the end. We visited 4 different wineries, all having a different experience with countless tastings and a delicious deli lunch in the 2nd one. Roy surprised us all on the journey back with a stop at a wildlife sanctuary where we held baby kangaroos, orphaned after their mums had been hit as a result of a roadkill. The lady who ran it was an absolute angel and of course we all dug deep into our pockets. Thanks again Roy for a day we will never forget!

I was one of Eleven happy, friendly people who became even happier and more friendly after visiting four wineries! Our driver, Phil, gave us a running commentary on the Barossa Valley and the different wineries we visited (Chateau Yaldera, Lambert, Rusden, and Ubertas). Three of the wineries were charming, small and family owned. Even the castle-like Chateau Yaldera had humble origins. The fourth winery, Lambert, had a more corporate/slick vibe, but the wine was fine, and the lunch served there was very good. Phil was pretty knowledgeable about the area, and even took us to a lookout view of the entire Barossa Valley, beautiful! Finally, even though Phil was very mindful of the time, we were not rushed along at all, had a wonderful experience, and were returned to the ship dock with time to spare before sailing away.

This experience was absolutely AH-MAZING! We cannot recommend this enough and it was great value for money! I don’t know that I’ve laughed as much as I have in a short 7 hour time period, as I have on this trip with Roy. From the wineries he chose to the dad jokes he told, it was an amazing way to see the Barossa Valley and we will never forget this experience. Please expect January - March to be booked out because we’ll be returning with our family, extended families, friends and every single person we know. Book now! We really hope that “Le-Roy” makes an appearance during this time.

We had a great day and made new friends on our tour. As others noted, we visited four fabulous wineries, each unique in their own way. The lunch at Lambert Estates was definitely a highlight and these Adelaide locals will be back again in the future.

Our tour guide Roy was excellent, entertaining, and very accommodating - he was more than happy to wait a little longer at Rusden while the four of us continued tasting their delightful range.

Highly recommend Roy and this tour if you're looking for an excellent day in the Barossa.

We had 15 in our group, all lovely but a larger group than expected. The wineries were all good and different and allowed us to taste many types of wines. The driver did little to create any atmosphere on the bus and even when asked multiple times to play any music only put the radio on quietly. Make sure you have a big breakfast as the lunch is a sparse tasting plate and some hot chips. Dangerously little food for a wine tasting tour.

The trip was brilliant from start to finish. We got to experience different wineries, learnt so much without feeling as though you were being bombarded with information and enjoyed our lunch at Lamberts.

Our driver Alan was personable, knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable.

Overall this trip was great value for money and I recommend definitely booking if you want to experience Barossa Valley.

Excellent experience with Roy as our guide. Our group of 5 was joined by another 4-5 people that were all very friendly. The tour was run on time and very well planned with each winery expecting us when we walked in. We liked the first winery on the list the best (Chateau Tanunda). Our guide also helped our group find a wildlife rescue to visit the next day, and even helped to coordinate it. I would definitely recommend this tour company!

This tour was absolutely amazing! Greig was professional and very accommodating to our group's needs. We were first timers doing wine tours and Greig made sure everything went smoothly as possible as well as recommending the best hidden gems and spots to visit. Each place we went to (1847, Lamberts, Rockford and Rusden) was a beauty to visit. Our tour driver Alan was spectacular, providing informative bits of interesting facts and knowledge at every step of the way. Lunch at the Lambert's Estate was also delightful, bringing a much needed change of pace and scenery and a great feed for everyone. Would highly recommend anyone who has never done wine tours to put your trust in this tour.

We booked our VIP tour with Greig after we spend the previous day with him and three other guests on the Adelaide Hills Tour with River Murray 3 Hour Lunch Cruise (which was also fantastic). Despite this last minute decision and after Greig had checked with the two other passengers that it was OK, it was easy to book and pay for this tour. Greig's VW van is luxury and comfortable and Greig is full of helpful knowledge and interesting stories. The wineries he selected for us (Murray Street Vineyards, Langmeil, Lambert estate for a excellent lunch and Gibson wine) were simply fantastic - classy, relaxed and all with a broad tasting range of fantastic wines. What really stood out to us though was Greg's patience and flexible approach and while this meant we didn't get to the last winery on the schedule (Rusden wines - which serves Greig's favourite wine) it made for a much more relaxed and pleasant experience. We were fortunate we had great fellow travellers, but regardless, largely due to what CP Tours provides, this is a great way (at a very reasonable cost) to see and experience some of what the Barossa valley has to offer.
Thanks Greg Nat and Dom for a great experience.

Our driver Alan was the star of the tour! He picked us up on time, was extremely professional and personal at the same time with a great sense of humor. He informed the group about the details of the upcoming wineries and worked with the staff to ensure we guests had a smooth and pleasant experience.
