The sites we were taken to were amazing. If I hadn't booked on Autopia I probably wouldn't have even realised they were there. This is where Autopia surpassed my expectations of the trip. The part that let me down was the demeanour of the tour guide Janet (J. Dog) What started off as seemingly harmless jokes turned into uncomfortable ones and sly/passive aggressive personal comments. I'm unsure if she was tired after a few days on the road or if I just wasn't getting her humour. About two hours before the tour ended I think Janet sensed I was unhappy with her and made an unenthusiastic attempt at being friendly but without an apology, right before she dropped in that she wanted to see a positive review.

Hi there, Thank you so much for your review. First of all it's good to hear you enjoyed the sites we took you to. I'm sorry the guide didn't fully correspond to your expectations though. Janet usually gets very positive reviews, but in any case we have addressed this matter with her to make sure it doesn't happen again. I hope to see you again on another tour and hopefully you will have a 5-star experience next time :) Kind regards, Luis

The Great Ocean road part was incredible!! I highly recommend a tour there but the remainder of the tour was not what I expected, very disappointing. The tour guide was late to pick me up & was late on most pickup times. I had come from a 19 day tour in New Zealand, where water was provided on the bus. This tour had no water, including having only tap water at the hostel. The next days were hiking, staying in Very low budget motels, too far away to walk anywhere. The first breakfast was fine at a local restaurant, dinner & next breakfast at a hostile!! Really, gross! One women had a broken knee cap & didn't want to hike much & I didn't want to go on long hikes, it was very hot & humid. We were both disgusted with the hikes, accommodations & the tour itself. If you are a student used to hostels, this tour is for you!

This trip was immense and will certainly be a part of my 5-week trip to Aus that I won't forget. Immediately, the guide (Jordan) got everyone talking to each other, which helped build good relationships over the 3 days. The places that we visited were really interesting and just what I wanted to see from the area. The Grampians and Tower Hill were my favourites. Jordan's general knowledge, including that of the area itself was second to none and he made us feel that we could ask anything. He also made sure our welfare was not reprimanded in any way; there were ample toilet and refreshment stops given at all times. I would not hesitate in recommending this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Really enjoyed the three-day tour. Saw lots of beautiful - and very varied - places and plenty of wildlife too. Janet was a wonderful organiser and guide, cheerful throughout and very responsive to the group's interests. Daniel, in training, seems set to be a great guide too. Thanks again both.

Spotting koalas sleeping on the tall trees. Getting approached by an emu at a picnic table. Strolling in rain forest full of oxygen. Not to mention the breathtaking views of the ocean and the mountains. I and my teenage boy enjoy this three day tour. Our guide Blinky does a fantastic job taking good care of the whole group. The dinner and breakfasts included are tasty as well. Accommodation is decent.

Our guide for this tour was Guy and he was amazing! He loves this part of the country and it’s contagious! He really makes you enjoy the trip. Thank you very much :)
The trip itself is good, the places you visit are really beautiful...but...I did it from Adelaide to Melbourne and you have to know that the second day is kind of rushing everywhere. The great ocean road is big and one day is not enough. If you want to take your time better to book 2 nights.
The dinner included was good, but no drinks. Just note that.
The hostel we slept in, was in the middle of nature and was nice. Don’t forget to look at the stars at night! Amazing view!

I actually did the Melbourne-Adelaide direction of this tour, but the drop down didn't give me the option to select that. Anyway - what an amazing time I had! I'd love to give a massive shout out to our tour guide for the 2 days, Darren. We saw so much in the short amount of time allocated for this tour, but it did not feel rushed at all. We were so lucky to have Darren as our guide who was jumping off the bus with us at each and every stop. Taking photos of things he'd seen hundreds of times before with the same enthusiasm and relish of those of us seeing them for the first time. He simultaneously drove us hundreds of kilometres, regaling us with historical stories of each destination and making sure we saw every koala, kangaroo, kookaburra, emu and carnivorous snail that we crossed paths with. As an Aussie myself, I would highly recommend this tour to foreign visitors and my fellow countrymen alike. This is a great way to see this part of the world. From ocean, to rolling hills, to rainforest, to national parks, to waterfalls - we saw a bit of everything and even with some less than desirable weather it was soooo worth it and I'd definitely go back to see what all those places looked like in different types of weather. I was glad I went in the Aussie winter though as each portion of the tour was uncrowded and in many places we had the lookouts and trails to ourselves! Incredible views, clean and comfortable transport and accommodation and again, a fantastic guide in Darren whose love of the job made the tour all that more special. Thanks again for a wonderful 2 days. It was truly a highlight of my whole trip back home to Australia.

Definitely recommend doing this tour. Might have been nice to do a 3 day tour, but the guide was amazing and the group of people were too - small group which was good. Amazing weather which made for great views. Definitely recommend!!
