- 595angelaj0 contributionsInteresting trip with great viewsViews from the Adelaide hills amazing and Hahndorf a quack town with lots to see tour guide was very informative and very helofulWritten 19 November 2024
- JSomerset0 contributionsThanks Mike!Mike was a great driver/guide, informative, amusing and looked after us all very well. The trip is gentle, there is enough time to wander in Hahndorf and the beer tasting was enjoyable.Written 9 November 2024
- Hendrik H0 contributionsExpensive and poor qualityWe enjoyed it but it is high on price and low on quality. A 7 day trip up and down the river exploring and watching the vista pass by was very relaxing. The on shore excursions to the Barossa Valley ,entailed long time spent on a coach and a short time at the wineries ,which ,although they ( the booking agents ) said there where tastings of the product ,it was meagre at best ,but sell ,sell sell . The food on board was one level above average ,with the staff walking around serving with one hand behind their back was beyond ridiculous. The meals took a long time to come out and when they did they were cold . A woman bar attendant ,was rude and hostile ,loading our bar tab the bottles of wine we never ordered ,lucky we checked. Over all ,the experience was great ,not so the bank accounts, value for money was certainly not there .Written 6 November 2024
- veronicakO4314PI0 contributionsAdelaide City Highlights TourPhil was our guide on this tour. While I enjoyed the majority of the highlights of Adelaide City shown to us I would have preferred not to have gone to the Wine place. Not everyone goes to visit Adelaide to 'çheck out'' the wine. I would have preferred to have seen other areas of Adelaide.Written 15 October 2024
- 39simonw0 contributionsGreat day out experiencing BarossaWe had a fantastic day out in the Barossa wine region - out tour guide and driver, Chris, was incredibly knowledgable about the history of the region, its wines and how they are made. The wineries we visited were all different and showed the diversity of the wine region. We had a fantastic lunch too. Thoroughly recommendedWritten 9 October 2024

- Chris B0 contributionsA must do in AdelaideWe had a fantastic day with Chris yesterday. We did a morning tour of the city sights with expert commentary including a stop at the wine museum. In the afternoon we went to the hills and Hahndorf. We also stopped off at mt lofty. Chris showed us the landscape and explained what a dodge tide is. He also used a map to shown the walking team from kangaroo island to the flinders ranges. The afternoon tea and stop at beerenberg and Hahndorf was nice. It was clear Chris enjoyed showing people Adelaide. He also cared for those who needed assistance.Written 24 September 2024
- Tracie L0 contributionsAdelaide Highlights &Hahndorf TourOur tour guide Mike was fantastic, the commentary around Adelaide was very informative. The little town of Hahndorf was quaint and looked like you were in Germany, afternoon tea at a German Pub suited many people, even with a beer sample paddle if you wanted something different. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.Written 13 September 2024
- 359h_ngn0 contributionsEducational and Relaxing AfternoonChris was our tour guide, and he kept providing an impressive narrative throughout the drive as well as at the locations. We enjoyed our afternoon tea/beer tasting immensely, and had a lot of fun strolling down the Hahndorf streets.Written 6 September 2024
- J7077RKkevinj0 contributionsGreat tour good wine and food.Fantastic tour. Chris was our driver / guide and did a great job on 25/8/24. Tyler at Pindarie wines gave a great explanation if their wines and we orderd some to be sent home and as tour was a Sealink tour then free freight. Gavin at Lambert wines was vert entertaining and informative and food was very good and plenty provided. Barossa Chocolate and wine pairing was very interesting but still think the only good pairing is dark chocolate and red wine! Thoroughly recommend the tour.Written 26 August 2024
- TravellingNarwhal0 contributionsBrilliant day outBrilliant tour with a great driver, Athol. We visited 4 different wineries (including the Cube) and the pace was good. It was a nice range of locations and plenty of different wine to taste. The bus was comfortable and Athol was friendly and a good driver. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.Written 13 August 2024
- A272THkevinh0 contributionsAverage, could have been much better. This tour was part of a package deal involving Indian Pacific journey and Murray Princess cruise. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the Central Bus Terminal. Unfortunately the toilets were all locked and caused a bit of concern for some. The tour was good, but could have been so much better. We spent a lot of time at the Wine Centre and the Cathedral as free time. We passed a lot of city highlights and Peter (driver) gave an informative commentary. On the way back we were running late and dropped the passengers doing the Popeye river cruise a little late. Peter radioed the company to advise them that 6 passengers were on their way. As we were running late, we were not dropped off at our motel. Peter gave instructions on how to get back to our motels utilising the city’s tram service. An elderly couple staying at our motel was very confused and needed our assistance. We gave them directions on how to return back to hotel (400m) as we were heading to Glenelg by the same tram. It was a good introduction to the city of Adelaide. The time management by the driver needs addressing. Peter seems to be experienced and should have known the timing for each point. No passengers were late back to the bus therefore that couldn’t be an excuse.Written 1 June 2024
- AJMglobaltraveller0 contributionsBig tour group but interesting dayNot the tour I chose but that was cancelled at short notice so I had no choice. The group was much bigger than I would have liked. We had a friendly and informative tour at Jacob’s Creek which was rushed at the end as we had a schedule to meet. Then lunch at Lamberts - I was expecting a small winery but they obviously focus on lunches for tour parties- I think they provided a cooked two course meal for 80+ people. The red wines were nice. Then the jam shop at Beerenberg before an hour at Hahndorf. I had a wander and for me the hour was long enough.Written 15 May 2024

Very disappointing I went on this trip on my birthday and it was a disappointment from the start. We couldn’t hear the bus driver Les so we had no idea what was going on. We left Adelaide bus terminal at 9.15 am on a full bus load. We travelled to Mannum for an hour and half with little information coming from driver.
We arrived at Mannum about 10.30 and was ushered on board the Proud Mary which didn’t even have its paddle on the back anymore.
We were seated with bottled water and glasses on table and then handed our morning tea without any knowledge of when or where we could get a cup of tea or coffee. Finally found out after most had eaten morning tea we had to help ourselves.
The inside was very crowded and one lady didn’t even have a seat. We were squashed in with little room. The lunch served was extremely small one piece of half a chicken wing with 2 chips 6 peas and some mashed pumpkin. Not enough for a child even. There was little commentary as there wasn’t much to see.
After disembarking we spent an hour in Mannum where at least we could get something to eat.
Half an hour at chocolate factory, and cheese place, no tastings just sales. I would have preferred to go to the giant rocking horse.
We were so glad to get back to Adelaide and get off the bus.
When we arrived at bus terminal the arm gate wouldn’t open to let us in and we had to wait for driver to phone someone to open it.
Not a good day all round.
Definitely not worth the money we paid.

Disappointing. Basically a long coach trip through the hills, followed by lunch on a boat. Not much commentary on the trip. The boat and lunch was fine but there was little to see on the “cruise”, just an expanse of river water and no “magnificent landscapes and spectacular cliffs” as it had been advertised.

we travelled down by bus to Murram nice trip down with Gary we get there at 1030am after leaving Adelaide at 0915am. We get on board the proud Mary and straight away we are served morning Tea the boat goes up the river only once did they state what was along the river. We then got served lunch it wasn't too bad only chicken as meat offered and a few salads, fruit was also put out grapes watermelon pineapple and rockmelon very little pineapple. I felt it was quite a let down we were on the river for 2 hrs with no real explanation on the history of the river and the town that surrounded it or the island on the other side of the river. We then were let of the boat and taken to the look out which was lovely to see the whole picture of the town below and the river we were then taken back town to spend an 1hr browsing the town but weather was really hot so most people headed straight to the local hotel where they sad in aircon and listed to a few locals voicing there opinions and a sexually related matter of the Commonwealth games after leaving there we heading towards Hahndorf to the Melba Chocolate factory and the cheese factory which was lovely beautiful cheese it was 4pm so the chocolate factory was cleaning up for the day so did not see any production then headed back to Adelaide got back at 515pm a good day out

A lovely day out. Very peaceful.
Trip down the Murray on a paddle steamer was really good, Shame it couldn't be just a bit longer.
Food on the boat was 1st class. Super tasty.
After the cruise we got free time in the town of Mannum but it was probably too long, very quiet town with not alpt to see (museum closed due to flooding earlier this year)
On the way back we stopped at Melbas chocolate factory and there was a cheese place next door but it was closing.
Our driver, Michael, was fantastic. We felt very safe, and he was full of local information.
I would highly recommend this day trip.
