      A disappointment
Hello To be clear this trip does not include a visit to a working winery. After an hour in a minibus you simply visit 2 locations for tastings. The hosts at these were charming and at least 2 of the 10 wines tasted were very good. The scenic coastal drive entails driving on a main road with kilometres of houses on one side and the sea on the other. The stop is in a town. One member of our group felt sick and did not board the bus. The cheese board was overpriced A disappointment. There are alternatives that actually visit wineries

Very nice scenic tour of McLaren Vale & in-depth tastings at 2 wineries off the beaten track, but BYO food or tasting 10 wines w
This is certainly the best value tour ($79) of the McLaren Vale (two) wineries, BUT no food opportunities other than extra paid for ($25) cheese platter. Given that tour runs from 12.30-5.30pm I highly recommend bringing some food to nibble on to ward off the effects of tasting 10 or so different wines. Because the small coach tour goes directly to Chapel Hill winery, then on to Haselgrove, there is absolutely NO opportunity to buy food anywhere, other than pre-ordered (when you get on the bus @12.30) cheese platter at Haselgrove at 2.30pm or so. We first spent an hour at Chapel Hill tasting 2 whites and 2 reds, with a bonus fortified. Same format at Haselgrove but another red instead of the fortified. Very informative talks by winemakers at both places about the wines make it a very complete experience for winefans. I was blissfully unaware that in mid-March it was about halfway through the grape-picking season, so they were talking about X grape we picked last Friday! Our driver James had actually worked 2 vintages himself so able to give very interesting commentary on wine-making generally. When you reach Glenelg 5hrs later is the only place you can buy food, so take your own.

The awesomeness of Great ‘Great Ocean Road and Beyond’
Fabulous scenery in a lovely part of Australia. A great way to travel from Melbourne - Adelaide, accommodation on all three nights was very good. The included breakfast and lunch meals were amazing, great variety of food choices and great quality food. Dinners on the three nights were also top quality and delicious. The driver/tour guide was easygoing though professional and hosted a great trip. I feel I can speak for the group of five individual travellers - to say we all had a great relaxed tour and the scenery and our side excursions were fantastic. Thoroughly recommend this trip.

      Memorable tour
I just did this 4-day tour and I really enjoyed it. Jens, the guide, as well as all participants were very nice and warmhearted. I felt like I travelled with new friends. There were only 5 people in our group. I totally recommend this tour that includes amazing spots and sceneries. We were also lucky to see many animals (koalas, kangaroos, emus, fox, etc.).

Well planned visit to two vineyards with good information by well informed lively hosts. Plenty of opportunities to see local landscapes and interesting chat en route from James.

      Fun day at gorgeous wineries!
Had a fantastic afternoon on this tour with my son for his 19th birthday! Dallas could not have been more helpful and professional in assisting us with this booking and tour guide Jason was terrific- so friendly to chat with over the afternoon. Beautiful wineries and I highly recommend disembarking in Glenelg (optional) for tea to finish the day. Really lovely and professional tour company!

      Great views and good wine
The tour was excellent. Craig the driver gave a great overview of Adelaide and the things to do. The drive through the Adelaide Hills was great as were the wineries we visited. The tour finished with a drive past some of the beautiful beaches and a stop at the lovely Glenelg Beach. Would thoroughly recommend the tour.

McLaren Vale still good at high temperatures
Good tour to provide a basic look at McLaren Vale wineries. We went on the Barossa valley all day tour 2 days prior & having the half day option for McLaren Vale was good. Obviously we didn't cover as much, & having to start by a pickup in Hahndorf ate a little in to the time for this tour as we had already been to Hahndorf. If you hadn't been to Hahndorf then it gave a quick look driving part way down the main street. This was also the 40° day, but didn't affect the tour 👍. We enjoyed both wineries (Haselgrove gave an informative tasting - it would have been good to know ahead of time that we could purchase a cheese platter to go with the tasting, we had lunch before starting the tour; Chapel Hill had a lovely ambience for it's tasting). Preferred the Barossa tour, but the McLaren Vale was also good.

      An inclusive experience
I organised the half day trip for my cousin who is legally blind but does have some sight. On his return he was extremely impressed and happy on how he was treated and the overall experience of the journey.

My group of 5 friends had a wonderful day with James our tour leader. From pick-up James was informative and very knowledgeable . The whole day was outstanding, beautiful wineries, great attractions and food! One of our highlights was being in our own small group and the great personalised experience ,had. Very special for our reunion. Highly recommend this wonderful company . James thank you for our wonderful day. Also shout out to Dallas for organising our fantastic guide. BRILLIANT!

This was an excellent day trip with lots to see and enjoy in the company of a first class guide. We went to places to see the city from different perspectives, had a good stop at Hahndorf, and two different wine tasting opportunities each with too many glasses!
Overall it was a great day giving us a lovely perspective on the city and hills surrounding it.

Absolutely brilliant! Craig is an expert on all things Adelaide and Wine. Love hearing stories from a local Modbury boy.

The tour took us to three places - Hahndorf, Shingleback Winery and Chapel Hill Winery with a quick stop at the Cube!

It was a great way to spend a free day and felt like a little holiday. The wine was absolutely beautiful to drink and I ended up buying three bottles lol! Love supporting local SA business.

I would highly recommend any traveller or local to book this tour. It’s a great “starter” tour for those who are interested in doing more tours in the future.

P.S. The Devil’s Tawny is to die for! 🍷😍

Brilliant service and felt comfortable the whole way through. 11/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A must do for anyone coming to South Australia! The first half of the day was spent around the city and surrounding areas. Craig was so informative and made the tour both fun and educational, you could see how much he loved Adelaide! We visited the charming town of Hahndorf and spent a couple of hours there at our leisure. The tour gave the perfect amount of time to stroll around at our own pace and enjoy lunch. Then in the afternoon we visited two lovely vineyards in stunning locations! All the wines were amazing and gave us such a unique insight to the wine of McLaren Vale. Christine was also very helpful with our booking and making sure we booked into what tour was best for us. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again!!!

Absolutely need to do this. Craig was the bay driver/guide. Took us past interesting sites around Adelaide. Hahndorf was worth the visit again. The two wineries were informative, professional and not overpriced. Great cheese platter. Views of Adelaide, wine fields and the stop at Glenelg was a great finish to the day

We booked this tour but at the last minute realised we had mistaken our flight times. I called the office in a panic at 5.30pm and they absolutely bent over backwards to make it work out for us.
The tour guide Bruce was lovely and very knowledgeable. The little city tour was perfect and there were a few little stories along the way. We stopped on hahndorf for almost 2 hours, as it was so hot we spent quite a long time inside but if you want to go souvenir shopping all the little touristy shops are lovely. McLaren vale was just beautiful and the wine tastings were lovely. The staff at both locations were really nice.
We had a brief stop in Glenelg where my husband and I would have gotten off the bus and taken a taxi to the airport but as there were so few passengers and no one else wanted to explore having already seen glenelg Bruce then offered to drop us to the airport on the way back to Adelaide! Super impressed with how flexible and kind everyone was. We also heard Bruce asking everyone else what hotel they were staying at so that he could drop them back rather than just at the standard drop off points.
    Excellent customer service all round.

We had the best day on this tour, our guide/driver was Russell, who made our day with his enormous knowledge of Adelaide and surrounding regions.
Hahndorf & Shingleback Winery & Russell were the highlights for us, but there was so much more than that. Everybody on the bus was great company and easy to get on with and have a good laugh with. It was a wonderful day out and made our short visit to Adelaide very worthwhile.
We would 100% recommend this tour for anybody who visits Adelaide.

The tour was exactly what we wanted and Bruce, our guide, was excellent! He provided enough information without being overloaded and was friendly and helpful. If you want a great day out with a look at Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills then this is the tour to do. We had plenty of time for a nice lunch in Hahndorf and enjoyed the wine tasting at both Wineries we visited. Would definitely recommend this tour.
