      K’gari - stunning and sandy
This is an awesome tour and you get a good look at all the cool places and highlights of the island. Lots of opportunities for getting off the bus to walk, swim and explore. Our guides Andy and Kurt were awesome and made the two day trip really enjoyable. They are great hosts, and gave us heaps of information about the history, geology, wildlife and culture. The bus was comfortable, good food, the hotel was clean and spacious. Nice pool. Loved it.

      Fantastic Tour!
I would absolutely recommend this tour. It was very well organised. I would say you see pretty much all of the important spots of the island. Blair was the best guide!! He made the tour very special for our group. Definitely an experience I will never forget.

      Great Experience on K’gari
Our 2-day tour of K’gari was amazing! The sights, experience and itinerary were excellent. Our guide, Mark, was outstanding with his knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to ensure we had a great experience! Highly recommend this tour for anyone who has not been to K’gari!

      Absolutely fantastic day/experience
Went on the full day tour on Thursday for my son's birthday , with a friend visiting from Sydney (we are locals) Hayden was our driver/guide and absolutely fantastic with his knowledge and commentary- learnt so much even after living here in HB for 10yrs , Highly recommended the extra scenic flight for a little extra , my son went up as his birthday and wanting to be a pilot himself boys were very helpful giving him advice Lunch was a buffet , was a bit average but I do understand high turnover so would need to be cooked in advance in large quantities I will definitely recommend this tour and would book another tour again with this company

Amazing experience with a superfriendly and knowledgeable guide
Amazing experience. Guy was waiting for us at the ferry and we immediately felt welcomed. He's a great guide, super knowledgeable and very friendly. The bus was comfortable and we had a great time. We were opting for a self drive or tag along first, but so glad we didn't do that. It may look fun at first, but the driving on K'gari is very challenging, so we were happy to have an experienced driver and guide. Guy managed to hook us up with a flight over the island with Air K'gari. Bonus to an already unforgettable trip!

      Absolutely fantastic😍👌
I thouroughly enjoyed the 1-day trip to Fraser Island, starting in Rainbow Beach. Rainbow beach is a nice little place to stay and perfect to get to Fraser Island. John, our guide for the day, did a fantastic job👍. Thank you 🙏 for a fun day😃, it was absolutely amazing, exploring the rainforest drive with the bumpy roades 😅, the beach drive etc. The option to book a flight to see it from the top is on a perfect day a "must". This was definitely a highlight of my Aussie trip 😉.

Keith is the best tourguide you can get
Keith was the best Tourguide I have experienced in my entire life. I am not kidding here. Such a nice guy with lots of information and a good sense of humor. I was a bit mad at the beginning of the day because of the bad/ rainy weather, but Keith definitely cheered us all up and we still had a great day together. Definitely worth the money. And the weather got better during the day as well. Thank you Keith for that lovely experience !!

      Great tour guide Kurt/Day Trip
We just returned from a wonderful day trip to K'gari. Our tour guide Kurt was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Our whole family including our two teenage children had a ball. The four wheel driving was so much fun and we spent the perfect amount of time in each spot. This is a must do trip for teenagers and adults. I think Kurt made our day extra enjoyable!

Great two days with Tour-Guide Hayden
The tour was amazing and Hayden was a fantastic guide - competent, funny and entertaining. He took us to all the beautiful spots on the island and we had enough time to enjoy and relax. We saw many dingos, a whale (which is unusual for this time of the year) and a 2m shark that was stranded on the beach. Thanks, Hayden, for these unforgettable two days.

      Wonderful K’gari adventure
What a great way to explore the beautiful island of K’gari. Guy was a great guide and knew a lot about the culture and history of the island and made sure everyone had a lot of fun. He was even a champion and changed the tire of the bus in half an hour while managing to keep everyone safe and off the road. My only regret was that we didn’t spend more time at Lake Mackenzie. But now I know where to go when I return.

We had an amazing day on our Premium tour. Butch was a great guide with lots of information and he did a wonderful job driving us over some very challenging tracks over the course of the day. Fraser Island (K'Gari) is a stunningly beautiful place. Lake Mackenzie was a highlight as was driving 40km along the eastern beach (something we as non four wheel drivers would never have been able to do). We were lucky enough to see a dingo on the beach and a whale playing in the ocean. We happily paid a bit extra for the premium tour which has a maximum of 18 people per tour as opposed to the normal tour which carries 40 people.

We booked with Fraser Explorer Tours to do the Full 1 Day Tour of the Island. We were greeted by the most friendly staff taking our lunch orders for the Day. We then moved to the Bus and Mark Canham introduced himself to the group along with a few safety procedures for travel for the day.

Mark was the Best guide I have ever experienced. Marks knowledge of Fraser - K'gari (Paradise) together with his stories of the Butchulla Aboriginal people the traditional owners of the island, certainly made my day, one I shall never forget!!

The day included, Eli Creek, Maheno Wreck,The Pinnacles, Eurong for Lunch, Central Station, Pile Creek and Lake McKenzie. Three of us including myself took the 20 minute Plane Fight on the Beach which Mark mentioned and I can say it was certainly a great way to see the Island from the air and to fully see the enormity of this great wonder. The flight took us out over the water, there are many many reefs that from land you would not even imagine. We then flew inland over many sand blast dunes in the midst of the natural fauna. Also flew over Lake McKenzie and Lake Waddy before landing on the beach. This was worth every dollar it was spectacular.

Don't contemplate this Tour.....just Do IT!!!!!

We were with Mr. Peter, he was knowledgeable, interesting and fun, good driver. The tour was good value for money, almost 12 h all together, and you can see most important sights of Fraser...swimming lake McKanzie, Central Station, driving the 75 miles beach, etc. Lunch was great too ;) Go for this tour!!!

My husband and I enjoyed the day tour last week. We found our driver, Murray, to be knowledgeable and informative, as well as an expert driver negotiating the rutted sand tracks. The itinerary is full, so when we experienced a flat tyre that needed changing, some time was reduced at a few of the stops. With the help of one of the passengers to manoeuvre the massive tyre, we were underway in about half an hour. We came away with a great appreciation for the island's history, as well as its natural beauty. It is cerainly worthwhile travelling with a tour guide who knows the island so well and is able to negotiate its challenging sand tracks rather than attempting to drive it yourself.

Our experience was mixed. The tour was great, covered lots of Fraser Island & the guide was very knowledgeable. Fraser is definitely a beautiful place to visit. However we feel there are a few things they can improve on. We arrived late in the afternoon to Lake McKenzie & as it was 3:30pm the sun was disappearing so not only could we not fully appreciate the beauty of the lake it was also a cooler time of the day for swimming. Our bus had stopped for passengers to do an optional flight. Instead of the 8 people (of 23) doing this on their own time the rest of us waited sitting on the bus for over half an hour. That precious time could have been used elsewhere, like Lake McKenzie. It was also uncertain if our tour would go ahead, we were told two days beforehand (when we called) it might be cancelled as they needed 6 passengers for the trip to go ahead. This condition does not appear to be documented on their website.

Based on reviews and recommendations of our friend who visited Fraser island lately, we decided to go to Fraser with this company - we could not make better choice! :-) Everything was well organized - pick up from the marina, transfer to island, whole program and lunch there. We had an excellent driver, Big Dave, who brought us safely to all locations and who is also a great tour guide and provided us with many insights and info about the island (fauna & flora, history, etc.). He is really enjoying his job and he also remained calm, when we had an issue with the front tire and was able to change it quickly with the mechanist.
So if you did not decide yet with whom to visit the Fraser, go for this company!

We could not wait any longer to see Fraser Island. We decided to do 1000km to be able to fulfil our dreams. We decided to go with Fraser Explorer Tours as per their itinerary everything was organised for us and it was a very good choice. We had the best possible tour guide, Mark who is not only a very knowledgeable person with passion for his job but also a very good driver. He smoothly organised the group staying in a timely manner. Thanks to him this trip was very exciting as the weather was quite disappointing.
We did additionally a scenic flight, taking off and landing on the beach, ca. 15min ($100 adult, $50 child). Unfortunately it was raining but we do not regret taking the flight. We saw interesting sights like a lake in a butterfly shape, pinnacle and briefly wales from the air.
We had lunch provided in a resort and it was quick and delicious. The staff followed all the required cleaning procedures.
We definitely recommend to come and visit Fraser Island with this company as they are true professionals.

What an awesome tour - my only fault was wishing we had more time at Lake Mackenzie and Eli Creek but needing to see everything in one day i can understand the time constraints, i'd recommend two days if you want more time at everything. David our tour guide was awesome and was very knowledgeable and a stand up bloke.

Lake Mackenzie was the highlight for us, i wish i could of spent a whole day there, but Maheno Shipwreck and Eli Creek were also lovely. If you prefer smaller tours i believe there was an upgrade option to pay for that so look into that.

A lot more travel time than expected and very bumpy so hold onto your seatbelt (so it doesn't cut into you haha) But overall a fantastic day and so happy i got to experience Fraser <3

We had a great time on this one-day trip of Fraser Island. Steve was a great guide and showed us all the highlights, including 75 Mile Beach and Lake McKenzie. He amazingly tackled 4WD tracks in a bus whilst simultaneously giving us inside information about the island and its history. We also had the opportunity to take a 15 minute scenic flight, which at $100 per person was well worth it. The tracks are quite rough, so if you suffer from motion sickness make sure to take tablets in advance!

I’m not sure if Fraser Island is over rated or if this tour just didn’t do it justice.
To start the day, we waited at their office for 45 minutes for the bus which was too late to catch the ferry we were supposed to be on. Once we got to the island, we waited more due to some people missing the bus/ferry and then a problem with a person on the bus. So after checking in with them at 8am, it was almost 11am before we got to see anything on the island.
Lake Mackenzie was lovely, but we only got 30 mins there, so not long enough for a decent swim.
The walk and talk at Central Station was interesting, but it was only a short walk although there were many walking tracks around the area.
Lunch was a burger, not the buffet lunch that was advertised. I know this is due to Covid, but the burgers weren’t great, so a poor substitute.
The beach was nice enough to look at, but we were warned against even putting our feet in as it is dangerous. You drive along it for 1.5-2 hours and it is almost all the same - sand and small waves and not much to look at on the land side.
The shipwreck was cool, but we only had 10 mins to look at it.
The “pinnacles” were not worth going to - coloured rock the same as you can see along many highways throughout Australia.
Eli Creek was OK. Probably a great spot to spend an afternoon with a few drinks, but not that exciting for our 30 min stop.

All in all, you’re on the bus for around 4 hours on the tour, either driving on the beach or on the 4wd drive tracks with trees that look the same for the whole trip.

For us, it wasn’t at all worth the money paid for the tour. The itinerary for the two day tour seems to be just as rushed on day 1, but maybe day 2 sights are better? The island might be good to do yourself at your own pace if you want to chill lying on a beach (but not swimming) for a few days or doing some bush walks. But there are just as scenic places that are easier to access on the mainland.
