- Jamie0220 contributionsIf I Could Give 10 Stars I WouldIf I could give 10 stars I would. The brand new Gold Coast Day Tour from Brisbane was one of the best tours I've taken in my many travels. I had been looking for a Gold Coast tour from Brisbane for months and hadn't found anything and then I stumbled upon the brochure for this tour in the visitor information center the other day. I learned this is a brand new tour, which is why I hadn't seen it before. We had 2 guides, Mark and Gary, and both were fabulous. They were funny, knowledgeable, flexible, and great to spend the day with. We saw kangaroos and a koala, went for several beautiful walks including to the glow worm cave and the waterfall (and saw flying foxes in the cave), went to the beach, and went to the Sky Point Tower where the views were exceptional and the lunch fantastic. We also did the optional Aqua Duck tour. All in all, a jam packed, fun, and wonderful day.Written 6 February 2025

Tasteful chocolate cake. Great experience. Our guide Mat/Steve is fantastic. He gave informative introduction on the history of the GC city After arrival, he led us into the jungle, shows us glowworm and other creatures such as gekko, frog, cricketand explains their behaviors. After the tour, we went to local guesthouse to see the stars and had a tasteful evening tea. Very impressive event.Written 16 January 2025
- Q1550VDbrookef0 contributionsGreat Gold Coast EveningThe tour is a little expensive for what is included, but the hike was wonderful and the nature sightings were so cool. We saw many frogs, crickets, and spiders on our way to the glow worms. The glow worms themselves were incredible. The tour was very informational and I came away having learned a lot about the Gold Coast’s history, flora, and fauna. This tour is a great way to spend an evening on the Gold Coast and to see a different part of the region.Written 12 January 2025

The whole day went smoothly from start to finish. Jaime was very considerate and knowledgeable. He allowed us to proceed at our pace so that we could truly take in and appreciate our surroundings. In addition to the beautiful natural surroundings on Tamborine Mountain and the rainforest, we were able to gain insights on the people and culture of Australia. - E6559AVrobertb0 contributionsLocal guide, excellent area to visit. The tour was excellent with our very knowledgeable guide Daniel. He took the time to talk to us and tailored the tour to our specific interests. His local knowledge meant he stopped at lookout spots others don’t know and we got some fantastic photos. We were particularly lucky to be one of two couples on the tour so it felt very intimate and happily we all got along. The coffee plantation is very interesting, the winery and lunch excellent and the two distilleries we visited were great.Written 16 November 2024
- 972linc0 contributionsNot nearly long enough there!!!Thoroughly enjoyable day ... even a few rainclouds & mistiness couldn't detract from the beautiful scenery! Such a fascinating and historical area of Qld. Mark was a most personable guide, able to provide a huge amount of relevant information. He obviously enjoys his work with Southern Cross, and certainly looked after every traveller on our tour with care and concern (& the morning tea muffins were great, too 😀). We'll definitely have to return some time in the future for another tour.Written 16 October 2024

The little cafe we stopped at was very sweet, welcoming and the cakes were yummy. We saw lots of wildlife (spiders, lizards, eels, learning about the plants) the highlight for us was seeing the glowworms. The children were very welcomed on this tour and all their questions were answered. Very informative tour and we would highly recommend it to anyone.Written 22 September 2024

We chose this tour to take friends out for the day to experience the Gold Coast Hinterland and we were not disappointed! Our guide and driver David was highly experienced offering interesting stories and insights into the region - his knowledge of the area was impressive - we learnt so much! We loved Natural Bridge as the highlight of the trip and enjoyed the many stops finding it all very interesting - the scenic drive was also picturesque. Highly recommend this tour for visitors to experience more to the Gold Coast than just the beaches and shopping! A professional operation who provide an enjoyable day out exploring the Springbrook National Park.

I had visited Hinze Dam, Natural Bridge, some wonderful lookouts, and one waterfall(I forgot the name...). My tour guide was Mark, and he had explained something during full of tour. I respect his knowlegde and speaking ability. I recommend this tour to traveler who has no rental car during traveling Gold coast but want to visit inner region of Gold coast.

I did this 5 hour tour with my 80 year old mother-in-law and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. There were only 9 people on our tour and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. The rainforest areas we visited were stunning and the waterfalls magnificent due to the recent rains. It was a lovely way to see something more than the coastline that the Gold Coast is renowned for. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who doesn’t have a lot of time and wants to see some beautiful scenery.

Our tour guide was nice and friendly, but I don't think he was feeling great. He kept forgetting words and I don't think he was having a good time. I have chronic migraines so I totally get it, that's kind of what it sounded like.
The bus was um, well we saw cockroaches inside. I suspect it was because we were allowed to eat on the bus. It's possible they came from outside, but it made me feel gross. Maybe we can spend 10-15 minutes eating outside the bus? It would mean finishing the tour 10-15 minutes later, but at least we wouldn't have to sit next to cockroaches.
I guess our guide was in a hurry to make sure we were on time and beat the rush, but I felt he drove unnecessarily fast, it's terrible for folks with motion sickness. The drive felt like I was on some sort of theme park ride, but it got us where we needed to go.
I think it should be universal practice for tour guides to give a time for when we need to get back. At our first stop, he said we could stretch our legs, but not walk too far, maybe a bit, but not too much. We didn't know what that meant. It would have been way less confusing to say "We'll meet back here in 10 minutes."
We saw the things we wanted to see and did everything we wanted to do, so it was all right. The walk is very easy, great if you just want a first impression of the sights.
If this tour were a third less expensive, I would have felt more positively about it. Our snack was a muffin and drink, the sights can be reached privately, and even factoring in profits for the company, I just don't see how it reached $100 per person.

This excursion was absolutely incredible—one of the best I’ve ever taken! Every stop was breathtaking, from the panoramic views at the Best of All Lookout to the tranquil beauty of the Natural Bridge and the stunning waterfalls like Purling Brook and Rainbow Falls.
Our guide, Andy, was fantastic—fun, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared so much insight about the area, making the experience even more enriching.
The hike was well-paced, and every step was worth it for the stunning scenery we encountered. The balance of adventure and tranquility made it unforgettable.
This excursion was worth every penny, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re considering it—do it! You won’t regret it!

Eng: was really nice, David was a great guide. However I wish we had visited more, the only thing we did was moving from one lookout to another so I feel like I've spent more time in the van than visiting. I'd recommend it for people who don't like walking and just want to take nice pictures.
Fr: Very nice, David was a great guide. However I would have liked to visit more, the tour boiled down to moving from one point of view to another without really visiting. We spent more time in the van than anything else, but I still recommend it for people who don't like/can't walk and want to see beautiful scenery.

The tour guide Andy was very knowledgeable on the features we passed along the way to the Natural Bridge and the various waterfalls and lookouts. Our first stop was the Natural Bridge and we were able to see the waterfall from three vantage points. The other attractions on the tour were the Purling Brook waterfall, the Best Of All lookout where the outline of the Gold Coast could be seen in the distance, the Canyon lookout and the waterfall from the cliff edge. We were also fortunate to see pademelon wallabies, a python seeking the sun to warm itself on the rocks and kangaroos on the golf course.
There were tourists with varying levels of fitness and Andy was mindful of this when conducting the tour.
Overall it was a most enjoyable tour and I would highly recommend this for anyone wishing to experience something different when visiting the Gold Coast.

We are visiting Australia from the US to see our daughter who’s studying at Griffith University. We wished we could see more of this great and vast country but time didn’t permit . However, going on this tour with our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Bill, exposed us to a bunch of spectacular sights all in one afternoon. It really felt like it increased the scope of our trip by a tremendous amount and we’d recommend this tour to anyone. Such wonderfully inspiring views and such a great perspective of the area beyond the beaches of Surfers Paradise.

It was a half day trip that covered some scenic places in the Gold Coast mountains. The highlight was the entertaining and enlightening commentary by our travel guide and bus driver Mark. The breakfast was delicious. The itinerary could have been better in terms of diversity of places visited.

The natural surroundings, rainforest and varied landscapes were a pleasant change from the coastal experience. Bill the tour guide was enthusiastic and had great knowledge especially of botany and landforms. Be prepared for cooler conditions to the coast and for rain if the forecast predicts the possibility. I should have worn more layers as it was already drizzling on the coast before we left. But the wet conditions didn't diminish the various waterfalls especially Natural Bridge.
