Great change of pace from typical night life, amazing experience.
Great change of pace from the typical night life. Amazing experience being surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest and wildlife. The glowworms are really magical. Our guide Alex had great knowledge and insight of the area, and made it feel very safe but still fun. I highly recommend if you're looking for more of a wind down evening that's still fun.

Beautiful glow worms, waterfall sounds and delicious cake
This is definitely a tour you should include into your itinerary if you are into nature walks and see no cool bioluminescent wildlife. Daniel was a great guide taking us through the rainforest and providing excellent explanations of the flora and fauna we encountered. Additionally cheesecake I had at The Manor was delicious!

      Interesting and unique experience
I had a great time on this tour, saw heaps of glow worms and some other critters along the way. Our guide Daniel was excellent - super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. 10/10 tour guide, although unwilling to eat the glowing mushrooms for some reason…

      Evening rainforest walk
It’s one of the kind experiences. However, it’s too dark to photograph the glow worms and there are not too much to see. The guide is wonderful.

Rushed and you lunch isn't really optional
We went on the Lamington Park tour from the Gold Coast. The pick up time was 9:15am and they ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes early. We did and they were early so this made for a smooth start. Our guide did not introduce himself (later learned that his name is Andrew) or any of the other guests (on other tours guides have surveyed the guests to find out where people are from, if it is there first visit, etc. and we have found this to be a nice way of getting people to talk/make connections). He did give us some interesting history of the Gold Coast as we left the area which we appreciated. Our first stop was a restroom break (advertised as a coffee/tea break but there was no time for that). From there we went to a nice lookout and cakes/popcorn/pretzels and boxed drinks were provided. At this point he passed around menus for us to choose our lunch choices (lunch was not included). We had noted when booking the tour that lunch is listed as "optional" and so I had asked if we could bring our own lunch. I was told yes, that we could bring a picnic lunch to eat at the winery. When we told our guide that we had this and were not going to order lunch, he seemed very surprised and said that wasn't really allowed and we would have to be very discreet and eat away from the main area where we couldn't be seen. Our next stop was O'Reilly's Rainforest. This was a fascinating place and well worth spending time here. Unfortunately, the whole thing felt very rushed. It was not crowded at all, so we really just wanted to take a few minutes in one place and really see/hear all the amazing life around us. The pace was set to keep moving and not linger in one spot, so this was disappointing. After leaving, we went to the winery for lunch, where there are clear signs prohibiting any outside food on the premesis. We took our lunch down to the river (a beautiful spot!) and discreetly ate our lunch. The bird life there was amazing. A quick drive home had us back at our hotel by 3:20, making us feel that we could have had more time at the rainforest. The trip was worth taking because we wanted to see the area, but we will not use Southern Cross tours again.

Enjoyable way to spend an evening
Amber was a fabulous guide, entertaining as well as very knowledgeable about the creatures that live in the rainforest and the rainforest itself. We were lucky to see lots of wildlife, different spiders, lizards and the 3 p’s - pademelon, possum and the crowning glory, a platypus! Saw a few glow worms, not a huge amount but the headlights from the nearby road could be the reason for that. Amber had a lot of interesting knowledge about the lifecycle though so well worth it. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Don't waste your time or money on this
Biggest waste of time I've ever experienced. Tony spent more time and energy trying to make sure we all knew HE USED TO BE A ROCKSTAR, HE WAS A ROCKSTAR FOR 50 YEARS, HE TRAVELED THE WORLD AS A ROCKSTAR ALSO HE HAS BEEN IN LIKE 3 MOVIES BUT MOSTLY HE IS A ROCKSTAR than anything else. There was also some baiting of deadly spiders. There were mentions of eels, platypusses, and geckos, but didn't see any. Saw about 10 gloworms total but only momentarily because shockingly, the toddlers that some inattentive parents decided to bring with them didn't like riding around in a van and walking slowly and carefully around a forest in the middle of the night, well past what should be their bedtimes and even more shockingly, adding a bunch of sugar from the cafe to the mix didn't help.

      Great tour with interesting information!
We loved this tour! Our guide Jamie was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area, he took the time to stop and point out really interesting little sights and creatures along the way. He was very quick with answers to questions and gave interesting information about other sites along the Gold Coast. The only suggestion we would have is don't bother with stopping for cake and coffee, it wasn't really needed, and we felt it just took time away from the actual tour.

      Not Worth The Money
For a tour at $109 a ticket, I expect more than a twenty-minute walk through the rainforest, one sighting of glow worms, and a homemade communal jug of hot chocolate. Our group of four were excited about this tour as we'd brought international friends for the first time. The disappointment began in the very rough and uncomfortable bus ride up to Mt. Tamborine. We learned then from our male tour guide, whose remarks were often brazen and snarky, that the moonlight would dull the glow worms' visibility and therefore we would be unlikely to experience the tour properly. He was incredibly right. In the end, we spent only twenty minutes in the forest with faulty torches. The tour guide spoke more of a poisonous plant and trapdoor spider than he did the glow worms. When we actually came across a glow worm site, their light was barely visible with virtually nothing to see. I understand this is largely due to the moon's fullness, but the tour should not have commenced if the experience was going to be obstructed by this event. The promised cake and hot chocolate at the end of the tour were almost laughable. You would think a cafe would have proper barista hot chocolate rather than one big jug of instant chocolate powder with bubbles better suited to a bathtub than frothed milk. Forget the lactose-free option for a member of our group who is dairy intolerant. I wasn't even surprised that they ran out of one of the cake flavour options despite having numbers beforehand. I will recognize that the tour guide was knowledgeable and communicative, but overall this experience was extremely poor. Barely a glow worm to see with disappointing sustenance provided. For added measure, this tour was originally advertised as being three hours long. We were back in Surfer's Paradise in under two hours. Due to our poor experience, I cannot recommend this business or tour. $109 is a complete rip-off for the service we received. We would not be back even if the price changed to $50.

The tour guide Andy was very knowledgeable on the features we passed along the way to the Natural Bridge and the various waterfalls and lookouts. Our first stop was the Natural Bridge and we were able to see the waterfall from three vantage points. The other attractions on the tour were the Purling Brook waterfall, the Best Of All lookout where the outline of the Gold Coast could be seen in the distance, the Canyon lookout and the waterfall from the cliff edge. We were also fortunate to see pademelon wallabies, a python seeking the sun to warm itself on the rocks and kangaroos on the golf course.

There were tourists with varying levels of fitness and Andy was mindful of this when conducting the tour.

Overall it was a most enjoyable tour and I would highly recommend this for anyone wishing to experience something different when visiting the Gold Coast.

I did this 5 hour tour with my 80 year old mother-in-law and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. There were only 9 people on our tour and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. The rainforest areas we visited were stunning and the waterfalls magnificent due to the recent rains. It was a lovely way to see something more than the coastline that the Gold Coast is renowned for. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who doesn’t have a lot of time and wants to see some beautiful scenery.

My friend and I did the afternoon Springbrook and Natural bridge tour last Friday. We were picked up on time which was great.
Trent was our driver and tour guide for the afternoon. Loved him...he sure knew his stuff as he grew up in the area so was very knowledgeable so if you asked him a question then he knew the answer
Good amount of time for stops and toilet breaks.
As I am a Travel Agent I am always looking for tours to recommend to my customers so this will definitely be on the list.
    Thanks for an amazing time

The natural surroundings, rainforest and varied landscapes were a pleasant change from the coastal experience. Bill the tour guide was enthusiastic and had great knowledge especially of botany and landforms. Be prepared for cooler conditions to the coast and for rain if the forecast predicts the possibility. I should have worn more layers as it was already drizzling on the coast before we left. But the wet conditions didn't diminish the various waterfalls especially Natural Bridge.

We are visiting Australia from the US to see our daughter who’s studying at Griffith University. We wished we could see more of this great and vast country but time didn’t permit . However, going on this tour with our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Bill, exposed us to a bunch of spectacular sights all in one afternoon. It really felt like it increased the scope of our trip by a tremendous amount and we’d recommend this tour to anyone. Such wonderfully inspiring views and such a great perspective of the area beyond the beaches of Surfers Paradise.

This was a beautiful insight into the Hinterland. Trent was the driver / guide who was very informative, friendly, and expert on the road. We did 3 short walks to beautiful lookouts and Natural Bridge, which was really spectacular. Plenty of time to admire the natural beauty of the area & take photos. Southern Cross even provided a covid-safe afternoon tea; soft drink & choice of sweet or savoury snack.

Thank God we wrote to them when the slots were all booked, here, for the days we were supposed to be there. They managed to add us on their tour. This half day tour is for those who do not have many days to be able to do everything that Gold Coast has to offer or do not want to spend most of the time at waterfalls (and if you enjoy waterfalls and taking dip, this is not for you)...Of course we belong to former - did not have much time. They take you to all the best spots that shouldn't be missed such as

Gondwana Rainforests, Springbrook National Park, bushwalk to waterfalls at Natural Bridge and a bird view of Gold Coast from different mountains in contrasting cold weathers compared to heat in Gold Coast (so don't forget to carry your warm pullovers, etc. )

The guide was generous with sharing his knowledge and also served us interesting knick-knacks as evening snacks.

We wish they involved a little more walk in their tours, but it's not their mistake...Only our expectations.

This half day tour is exactly what you want to do when you crave nature, views and some amazing waterfall.

The hike was awesome!! Needed this so much as I live in a city, where it's hard to go hiking here. It was raining unfortunately on the day of the hike and I was not prepared for the wet weather conditions. The view was blocked off by the clouds as it was raining, so we did not get to see the clear view when we reach our first lookout point, but the tour guide did show us a picture of what it looked like when it is clear.

Initially I thought it would have been a 5 hour hike continuously, but in fact, it was just a small hike with car rides in between to ferry us to different location.

Our tour guide Daniel was very knowledgeable and had told us a lot of interesting facts about springbrook and gold coast as a whole. He was also very professional in handling leech bites swiftly. The tour in itself was excellent, as we have travelled through different places with spectacular rainforest and waterfall views from point to point inside springbrook, including the famous natural bridge. We also got sufficient time to take pictures without a rush. Definitely worth it!
