- KTurner20000 contributionsI'm going again! My friend chickened out so I went in alone...OMG! I do wish my friend had come with me because it is better shared with another person, but that did not detract from the event itself. I loved this! I can't tell you what it is, it can't be described - seriously. You have to experience it to know what I mean. I'm going back. I'm taking my husband and we're going to do it together and even though I've already been through it, I can't wait to experience it fresh through his eyes. My friend missed out, but make sure you don't. I can't recommend this any higher!Written 12 March 2024

- 303leylab0 contributionsHorrible and potentially dangerous attraction!Horrible and potentially dangerous attraction! If you suffer from claustrophobia and the dark, or have any balance or mobility issues, stay away! My husband and I took our 8, 11 and 14 year old children to this place. I expected this to be a fun experience, but halfway through we entered a few rooms which were very difficult to get out of with my children screaming in terror as there were hands, and hair hanging from the ceiling in pitch black darkness. I pressed the panic button and the attendant was great and spoke to us through the intercom to ask if we were ok. I said we were and managed to get out of the room. I was in a panic but I pulled myself together and led my family out of there. I think some other more sensitive people might have had a full blown panic attack in there. There was also a suspended bridge room which is also in near darkness and I feel this would be very dangerous if someone fell in there. In the end, my kids said they enjoyed it and my husband too, but I wouldn’t do this attraction again. It was expensive and not worth it.Written 23 January 2023

Inside the attraction was visually amazing but not challenging at all if you keep your running your hands along the wall your out in no time. I think the attraction needs to be updated with some more challenging rooms to make the experience more stimulating.
The price of entry for the experience is ok for couples but for families it's expensive, and you have to buy another ticket to go in more than once. Due to the length of time you it takes to solve you should only be able to buy one ticket and go in more than once.

The infinity attraction is great and well worth doing. I remember doing this as a teenager also and also loved it.
The line up is huge to get in and there is no communication as to how long you will wait. You just stand there. It took 50 minutes. The staff seem disinterested, they literally just take your money and tell you to hop in the line. They should really introduce a booking system where you book in for a start time every ten minutes.
The attraction itself is great

I enjoyed it even though I (as an adult!) found it very difficult to navigate and a bit scary. I think teens and young adults would enjoy it, but it'd be too much for young kids.
Whilst it's clearly influenced by the art of Yayoi Kusama, it's not an art installation, it's a maze, the aim is to find your way through, if you get distracted by trying to figure out how it all works, finding your way through becomes much harder!
You can't take photos inside, which is sensible since you need to use both your hands for navigation.

Thanks for sharing your review.
As stated, INFINITY is recommended for ages 8 years and above and for those that aren't scared of the dark, timid, or might sleep with a night light on. If they do, it is probably best to wait until they are older to experience. Staff explain verbally and it is displayed on the website and entry warning sign (prior to purchasing tickets) to parents with younger children what the experience is like. Many parents choose to continue and mention their children will be fine.
Photos taken in the maze are not allowed as guests always use a flash which ruins the experience for others in the same areas.
Thanks for taking the time to write and we hope to see you soon on the Gold Coast.

Disappointed with the experience - maybe I expected to
Much. 15 mins for a cost of $80 for four people 2 adults 2 kids.
The kids had fun which is the main thing but were disappointed how quickly it all ended especially after waiting in line for 45 mins.
Done it once but never again- I think it’s Over priced for what it is.
Disappointed staff were not patrolling the line and keeping social Distancing Regulations in place. There was signs not to gather and wait in tunnel however everyone was standing behind each other. The entire
Time we waited in line (45mins) not One of the three staff came Out to manage que or ask people to follow guidelines for there own health and safety.
During these Covid times I am surprised you couldn’t book time slots online to prevent crowding. Booked online but made no difference as had to get tickets
Then join the long line- I do however understand it was school holidays so That is not the staffs fault.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know your thoughts on your recent visit. We're glad the kids enjoyed their time and take note you considered it overpriced. Although , we are not sure what you were expecting. Your experience was probably effected due to the queue time, which we understand. INFINITY usually rates high on value for money as it is such a unique "world first' walk-through experience and located in one of Australia's busy tourism hub
As we are operating under the Industry COVID Safe plan, the queue times have been long due to the extra interval we are required to space our guests in the maze.
Staff advise guests to social distance at ticket entry where COVID questions and your temperature are taken. We also have social distancing markers in the queuing areas. I'm not sure why they didn't but they are continually reminding queuing guests each day to adhere to social distancing. It is frustrating that some guests don't take much consideration to this simple and important request.
We are also investigating a set booking time option due to extended queue times in busy periods now we are operating under different conditions. We did only open 10 days ago so are still fine-tuning new procedures for the benefit of staff and our guests.
Thanks once again for taking the time to share your review

was excited to go to this attraction. Went with husband and 2 x 10 year old girls. Before we entered 1 10 year old opted out. Entered very dark rooms, given no instructions from staff or told what to expect so it was very overwhelming for all of us. Had to search for doorways to exit rooms and with a frightened 10 year old our fears were heightened. There was no emergency exit for patrons to exit early if they wanted so we tried to get through the ordeal has quickly as possible. This attraction I would recommend for older teens and adults and more information and warnings from staff before entering would have been greatly appreciated. I would not go here again!

Hi Megan,
Sorry to hear the experience was different to what you had expected. We do recommend the maze for ages 8 years and over but as you know all kids are different and react differently to situations.
The staff do advise verbally on entry as to the safety conditions inside the maze and with the warning card that you should of read at ticket purchase counter. Did this happen? If you purchased online this warning would also have to be read before it allows payment of tickets. The entry safety video also explains to push walls or hidden doors to find your way to the next area. Some guests do find it harder than others. It's hard to tell too much without giving the enjoyment of the experience away. In the main dark zone, Mystery Zone there is a video intercom to staff.
We also monitor intermittently the guest moving through the maze and can talk to them via intercom if they appear to be having difficulties.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide your comments as we always continue to improve the experience and procedures to assist in the experience for our guests.
Please feel free to email us at info@infinitygc.com.au to clarify any of the information above.

I’ve been here before many years ago with a couple of friends and it was great, all messing around, I didn’t think anything of it really but it was kinda fun. Expensive for what it is and a terrible souvenir photo.
Then I took two young children with me and it was a whole different story! They absolutely hated it! Some of the rooms are pitch black with hands touching you or expanding walls! It’s terrifying, especially for a younger person. Ridiculous amount of stroke lights, it’s just too much! One kid only got to the second room before freaking out and leaving. I continued with the other who was shaken but determine and it just become more and more terrifying for her. By the end we were thankful it was finally over. It’s just too much for a little one to endure. I asked if it was possible to refund one of the tickets as the youngest left at the very start although once you enter you cannot receive any refund! Nothing! I spent an extra $20 for a child who didn’t even do the attraction.
Staff were rude to begin with but ridiculous at the end. We will not be returning.

Their tag line is "Challenge your perceptions and awaken your senses as you step inside INFINITY" but the only thing challenging was the insane wait time (over an hour when we went) which borders on a joke for what amounts to 10-15 mins of actually walking through all the rooms. But the biggest problem is Infinity can't seem to make up its mind what it wants to be - a gallery of light spectacles to dazzle one's senses in some rooms while other rooms make you shrug and go "meh!" or a cheap horror haunted house where one room, you enjoy the light effects only to go into the next room, near dark, with cheap dangling spider like things hanging from the roof for you to walk into and rubber hands on the walls trying to elicit cheap scares. Save your money and do anything else.

Thanks for your review. We can understand the frustration in waiting for long periods in queues. Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 spacing requirements and extra time interval required between groups,( which are mandated by the government) which allowed us to reopen under an Industry Safe Covid plan, the queues are longer, especially in peak school holidays and wet weather, which is when you came.
Your comments don't seem to reflect the vast majority of our guests and their reviews. Infinity has been trading successfully since 2000 and has always marketed the experience as a futuristic maze where you experience a roller coaster of emotions on your journey through. It is a mix of diverse environments to challenge, thrill, excite, enjoy, and anxiously move forward in some. The psychology behind INFINITY is to evoke and excite senses and emotions and for many people, it does induce or excite their fear of the unknown. Many patrons note that the sense of anticipation and mystery heightens the enjoyment of the experience for them.
Unfortunately, not everything appeals to everyone on the planet. We thank you in sharing your thoughts.

The fact that you pay $35+ for something that doesn’t last 15 mins, greeted by the most unwelcoming and underwhelming team and staff. I was excited to try this but after doing so, it is sooooo not worth the price and experience. The team on were more interested in talking to each other and had the worst attitudes it was actually appalling. When exiting as well, she didnt even bother offering us our souvenir photo? We wanted to get a copy but she gave us our stuff that they held and walked away to talk to her mate? Yeah would give it this a miss.

I didn’t hate the experience but I would’ve definitely enjoyed it more if there was a map to go off to make sure I didn’t miss anything because we had a choice in which direction to take during one part. I felt like I was just wondering around in the dark aimlessly wondering if the every room was the end.
My 8yo, on the other hand, was terrified. Especially because there were a few rooms - one after the other - that were completely dark. After going through google later I realised that wasn’t actually meant to happen. Boooo👎🏽 Piss poor effort. My child was traumatised from walking across the suspension bridge in darkness. When I emailed the company to get a response as to how many blackout rooms there actually is and why they were off, I got no reply. You definitely need to be held accountable for your fkups if people are paying that much money for a service.

The teenagers all enjoyed the different experiences but it goes too quick! Hence I felt it was overpriced - $97 for family of 5 and done in 20minutes. Souvenir photo should be free for that cost and if cannot take own pics. Some sections need some lighting and/or different sensory activities. Customer service non-existent and unhelpful.
