    Fantastic trip with fantastic view
Arrived at the Helipad for our allocated time 9am. However, was unable to fly due to weather conditions. Rhiannon was brilliant dropping us off at our accommodation. We informed them we were free all day . Around 3pm we got the call saying the pilot was happy with the conditions and off we went. We did the 45 minute outer Reef tour. Our pilot was brilliant and she pointed out some of the wildlife. Saw turtles, dolphins 🐬 and rays. The flight and the Barrier Reef are out of this world and I would highly recommend to anyone.

    Best helicopter ride yet
John our pilot was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and excellent skills. We saw everything from dugongs, sharks, turtles, dolphins and rays. Great memories made.

Great way to get to the reef.
Had a wonderful day with Nautilus. We got picked up at our hotel to take us to the helipad. The pilot was informative on the flight out, which took around 30 minutes. Then onto snorkeling at the reef. While it was a little choppy on the day we were there it's a well run operation. You have stinger suits to wear, lunch and drinks. It does get crowded, so can be hard to find a spot to sit and eat, but you're there for the reef not the food. We also were lucky enough to fly back to PD as well, and it was interesting to see the changes between the two flights.

    Beautiful, unique experience
We did the 60 minute scenic flight of the rainforest and reef - WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! The weather was clear and the ocean was quite flat, making perfect conditions to truely appreciate both the reef and rainforest. Our pilot, Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He pointed out many marine life such as: sharks, schools of fish, manta rays and dugongs. This flight is well worth every dollar!

    Awe-inspiring
Absolute must do while in Port Douglas., it was amazing. Certainly gives you a different perspective and allows you to truly appreciate how vast the rainforests and the reef really are. The staff were lovely and extremely friendly. Highly recommend the 60 minute flight, it is worth every single cent.

    Mindblowingly magical
Absolutely mind blowing helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef and then to add even more magic to a magical trip, we landed on a tiny deserted island and had a champagne lunch after snorkelling the reef . The most incredible experience made even more special by the fabulous Steph and pilot John. Thank you sooooooo much. Sam and Ed xx

    Absolutely stunning
I had pretty high expectations of this trip, but they were WAY exceeded !!!! From the friendly meet and greet with safety briefing by the ground staff to the overall flight experience, it was just WOW !!! I was on the 30 min trip and travelling to the reef was actually quicker than I expected which meant a good length of time actually out on the reef circling around. Lucky to see a group of more than 50 dugongs on the reef that the pilot circled around a couple of times so that we all could get a really good look at them. Also a whale and calf on the return trip, that the pilot very responsibly did not approach but pointed them out so that we could get a really good view of them. I cannot recommend this highly enough, follow it up with a boat trip to the reef and put it all in perspective.

What a great way to view port Douglas
My headset didn’t work properly so couldn’t ask any questions or let the pilot know when I spotted a pod of something in the water. Was a great way to see the area and reef from above.

A great day on the reef
Great day on the reef yesterday with Quicksilver and Nautilus Aviation Weather was a bit dodgy when we left but was quite pleasant out at Agincourt Reef. Crew were fantastic at checking on safety and welfare Helicopter ride was great but too short as only 10 mins but so worth doing to get that perspective. Great for all ages kids

Great way to see the reef disappointing seating and visibility
This afternoon we went on the 45mins scenic flight over the reef out of Port Douglas. The reef was absolutely amazing and wonderful to see it from above however there was a big negative to it and that was the seating. It is pretty unbelievable to have a scenic tour with a 4 seater in the back whereby the 2 pax seated in the middle seats hardly can see and let alone take any pics. The price is exactly the same for the one seated up front or having the window seat. That part was extremely disappointing and impacted on the experience significantly and for $600 a rather expensive undertaking.

The helicopter ride was spectacular. The view of the reef was breathtaking. Landing on the pontoon and then spending a few hours enjoying snorkeling, a ride in a semi submersible boat viewing the reef and wildlife and relaxing was amazing. The staff were very friendly and really looked after the families to ensure all the children had an unforgettable experience. The cruise back to Port Douglas was very smooth and time went by quickly.

We did a scenic tour operated by Nautilus Aviation leaving from the Quicksilver outer Great Barrier Reef platform, returning to Port Douglas (ie we skipped the boat ride back). Nautilus Aviation were fantastic - a great experience and definitely worth doing. Highly recommend!

This was the highlight of our trip, between going in the underwater observatory, semi submersible, snorkeling and the best part the helicopter flight over the great barrier reef. This exceeded our expectations, I personally experienced bad sea sickness on the cruise over but I cannot thank the staff/crew of quicksilver on how helpful and caring they all were to ensure I was as comfortable as I could be. Could not ask for more caring crew to be around when you're not feeling the best.

My brother and I took the 1 hour flight to see the reef and rainforest. We had a warm welcome and took off.
We were up high so didn’t see any real details, which was disappointing, blue water and the tops of trees, some waterfalls in the distance. We had hoped for a few closer views. We both felt $699 each was a lot for not much.

We were a group of 6 adults and 1 toddler and we had a fantastic day. Kord was our pilot again and we had the best helicopter trip out to the reef and back. The lady who greeted us at the starting point was also lovely. All the staff out at the Quicksilver pontoon were also very helpful - especially the young fellow who picked us up from the helicopter and drove us in the boat to the pontoon. Thank You so much - it was the highlight of our trip.

What a way to see our beautiful Great Barrier Reef!!! Take it from me ….. it’s the only way !

Amazing, fun and our Pilot Micheal, was friendly so informative and fun, even finding an awesome 5 metre croc sun baking on the sand for us !

The reef is truly stunning, and according to Micheal about as good as it gets for clarity at the moment. Our photos are fabulous!

Loved every moment….must do experience for anyone staying at Port Douglas.

The outer reef pontoon was good, lots of fish and some coral, but it was a full boat so very crowded and felt rushed to do all the activities.

We booked for a tour and when we arrived at the counter they tell us it was cancelled. It is unacceptable !
We had terrible difficulties to find another tour after that.
They told us that they forgot to book our tour and that they were sorry, but the resut was the same! (booked by Viator)

Hi Helene I have investigated this for you and have found the following: Your trip was booked on the 15th August at 18:19pm for a departure of the following morning at 10:00am. We are a small operation and do not have a 24/7 support team to facilitate booking requests that come through in an after hours environment, so the team were unable to process your request until the following morning when the office opened. Unfortunately when the team checked the availability with the reef operator, the cruise portion of the trip you was already fully booked. I can see that the team contacted you, in writing, at 8:55am as soon as they were aware, to advise that Quicksilver were sold out and that the tour was unable to operate, as we cannot fly out to a boat that is unable to bring you home. At no point were you advised that we forgot to book your tour. For your reference booking requests made on Viator are on request until the tour operator is able to confirm the booking, and unfortunately as your booking was made after hours while the office was closed, we were only able to act upon the request once the office opened the following morning. I appreciate that it would have been very stressful for you on the morning to discover that your tour was unable to operate, and I will pass this feedback onto Viator to see if they can put some appropriate measures in place to not allow bookings to proceed with such a short time frame to departure.
