      Reef flight
Thoroughly enjoyable experience, and the staff went out of their way to talk to one of the party who was feeling a little anxious.

Helicopter views of the Great Barrier Reef are absolutely stunning. We loved it.
The Helicopter portion of this trip to the Great Barrier Reef was amazing. Mike our pilot was a fantastic guy and made it all so interesting and special for us. We were lucky. The helicopter can accommodate up to 8 passengers and there were only there of us. We all got excellent seats either up front or at a window. Mike took the long way out to the reef and we saw some of the Daintree rain forest as well as some stunning views of the GBR on the way out. Mike landed the helicopter skilfully on the smaller landing platform near Quicksilvers large platform where all the scuba diving and swimming activities are based. We had a great day out there at the GBR. As I’m not a swimmer we didn’t get the full benefit of everything that can be done out there. But the marine biologists and the guides and the captain of our boat back home were so helpful and kind and really wanted us all to have a fabulous experience The helicopter trip is the best way to see and appreciate the GBR. You really don’t get the same appreciation of the spectacular colours and features of the reef from the boat trip home. So if you can do it be sure to get the helicopter out there or back as it’s such an amazing natural treasure.

Great way to get to the reef.
Had a wonderful day with Nautilus. We got picked up at our hotel to take us to the helipad. The pilot was informative on the flight out, which took around 30 minutes. Then onto snorkeling at the reef. While it was a little choppy on the day we were there it's a well run operation. You have stinger suits to wear, lunch and drinks. It does get crowded, so can be hard to find a spot to sit and eat, but you're there for the reef not the food. We also were lucky enough to fly back to PD as well, and it was interesting to see the changes between the two flights.

      Awe-inspiring
Absolute must do while in Port Douglas., it was amazing. Certainly gives you a different perspective and allows you to truly appreciate how vast the rainforests and the reef really are. The staff were lovely and extremely friendly. Highly recommend the 60 minute flight, it is worth every single cent.

      Mindblowingly magical
Absolutely mind blowing helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef and then to add even more magic to a magical trip, we landed on a tiny deserted island and had a champagne lunch after snorkelling the reef . The most incredible experience made even more special by the fabulous Steph and pilot John. Thank you sooooooo much. Sam and Ed xx

Must do , Bucket list adventure!
What a way to see our beautiful Great Barrier Reef!!! Take it from me ….. it’s the only way ! Amazing, fun and our Pilot Micheal, was friendly so informative and fun, even finding an awesome 5 metre croc sun baking on the sand for us ! The reef is truly stunning, and according to Micheal about as good as it gets for clarity at the moment. Our photos are fabulous! Loved every moment….must do experience for anyone staying at Port Douglas.

Family vacation - helicopter back to port douglas was awesome. Took off from a pontoon, beautiful scenery and great pilot.
The outer reef pontoon was good, lots of fish and some coral, but it was a full boat so very crowded and felt rushed to do all the activities.

      Unacceptable
We booked for a tour and when we arrived at the counter they tell us it was cancelled. It is unacceptable ! We had terrible difficulties to find another tour after that. They told us that they forgot to book our tour and that they were sorry, but the resut was the same! (booked by Viator)

      Great Trip To Agincourt Reef
We were a group of 6 adults and 1 toddler and we had a fantastic day. Kord was our pilot again and we had the best helicopter trip out to the reef and back. The lady who greeted us at the starting point was also lovely. All the staff out at the Quicksilver pontoon were also very helpful - especially the young fellow who picked us up from the helicopter and drove us in the boat to the pontoon. Thank You so much - it was the highlight of our trip.

We’ll remember this experience for the rest of our lives
The helicopter tour out to the Quick Silver reef platform was incredible. Lasting 35 minutes, the scenery was spectacular and our pilots commentary very informative. If you compare the premium over taking the boat both ways, the helicopter ride was fantastic value for money. Once at the platform, we were greeted by a host who filled us in on the various included activities. The glass bottom boat was average, but the snorkelling was brilliant, and the buffet lunch very nice. In theory there was a pretty full number of tourists but heaps of space and no delays at all. The cruise back on e boat was fine - but made us realise how special the helicopter flight out was. Overall an outstanding experience that made our 30th wedding anniversary so memorable

A great day on the reef
Great day on the reef yesterday with Quicksilver and Nautilus Aviation Weather was a bit dodgy when we left but was quite pleasant out at Agincourt Reef. Crew were fantastic at checking on safety and welfare Helicopter ride was great but too short as only 10 mins but so worth doing to get that perspective. Great for all ages kids

This afternoon we went on the 45mins scenic flight over the reef out of Port Douglas. The reef was absolutely amazing and wonderful to see it from above however there was a big negative to it and that was the seating.

It is pretty unbelievable to have a scenic tour with a 4 seater in the back whereby the 2 pax seated in the middle seats hardly can see and let alone take any pics. The price is exactly the same for the one seated up front or having the window seat.
That part was extremely disappointing and impacted on the experience significantly and for $600 a rather expensive undertaking.

We did the 60 minute scenic flight of the rainforest and reef - WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! The weather was clear and the ocean was quite flat, making perfect conditions to truely appreciate both the reef and rainforest.

Our pilot, Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He pointed out many marine life such as: sharks, schools of fish, manta rays and dugongs. This flight is well worth every dollar!

The 60 minute reef and rainforest flight was spectacular - we got to see and appreciate the enormity of our amazing coral reef, the stunning Mossman Gorge and everything in between. Michael our pilot was fab, plenty of good humour and knowledge of the area. Highly recommended!!

We had the most incredible experience with Nautilis Aviation recently, on a helicopter flight from Port Douglas through to the reef and the Daintree. Our pilot Shaun was so knowledgeable and gave us facts and tid-bits throughout the flight. We saw manta rays and a couple of sharks. The Mossman gorge was also amazing to see. The flight itself was smooth and Tara (who helped with safety and drove us to the air strip) was lovely and made us feel at ease. Truly couldn't fault the experience and highly recommend.

Slightly disappointed with this heli scenic flight. When booking over the phone, it was promoted to us that it's a 3-seater flight from Port Douglas (sales person over the phone was highly promoting that it's different compared to their flights in Cairns where it's a 7-seater).

On the day of arrival to the helipad, there were 6 of us and we were informed on the spot that they have decided to change our flight to a 7-seater. Bear in mind, there are 2 seats at the front and 4 across at the back (lesser views but with same pricing). I found this especially annoying as this wasn't the product that was promoted by their sales centre (cost of scenic flight is over $1k for 2 pax). I am not expecting a private flight but the company should not promote that it's a 3-seater heli (with the possibility of another guest only). Although I can understand why they need to maximise their profits during Covid-19 times but this should at least be conveyed to us the day prior to the flight, not at the helipad. I suppose this is the result of monopoly of the company within Port Douglas.

Flight type: 45 mins scenic flight - Reef only

The pilot was very friendly and tried his best to point out marine life to us. Good air-conditioning and comfort on the flight. Views of the Great Barrier Reef were indeed amazing.

Would recommend it for the wonderful views but don't get your hopes high if the company tries to promote it as a 3-seater heli flight from Port Douglas.
