What a fantastic tour of the oldest rainforest (180 million years) in the World! Adam was amazing, and we had such a friendly interesting small group of just 7 people together in a lovely Mercedes mini-van. Perfect size group for individual attention. We saw crocodiles, snake, lizards, spiders and the most amazing scenery! Untouched as it should be! Wonderful - thank you to Tropical team.

If we could give this tour a ten star rating we would. It was exceptional and far exceeded all expectations. From our very first contact with the company, through to the perfectly timed delivery back to meet our cruise ship at Port Douglas after a magical all day personalized tour for our family of 7, we received exceptional service. Every aspect of the day perfect - the itinerary designed to avoid crowds, delicious meals provided, stunning settings and once in a lifetime experiences. Our zoologist daughter will never forget the moment we spotted a platypus swimming and climbing on the rocks at Mosman Gorge! Adam thank you so much for such an incredible day - everyone on our cruise ship was quite envious of the very personalized approach your company provides to ensure such a wonderful, value for money day!

My wife and I joined Adam for the Atherton Tablelands tour which we absolutely loved! The itinerary was excellent and Adam is one of the nicest, most down to earth guys you can meet. From feeding the cutest, little rock wallabies at Granite Gorge, yummy coffee and chocolate at Coffee Works, the beauty of Lake Eacham, lunch at the Malanda Pub, the jaw dropping Curtain Fig, a refreshing swim at Millaa Millaa Falls, to all the lookouts and beautiful scenery along the way. It was such a great day and we thoroughly enjoyed soaking up Adam's detailed knowledge of the area and its history. Admin can be a little hit and miss with their responses, but can't recommend this tour highly enough. Five out of five!!!

Atherton tablelands tour with Adam was excellent. It was our second tour with this company and Adam was our guide on both occasions. He is very knowledgeable and clearly loves showing off the area the area that he lives in. He was friendly and looked after us very well on both tours. Did the Mossman Gorge, Daintree and Cape Tribulation tour with Adam as guide yesterday and highly recommend it, Adam was very knowledgeable and fun and nothing was any trouble.

We took the Atherton Tablelands Experience with Adam and it was one of the best, most informative trips of our holiday. We happened to book on the second boxing day this year and think people were doing other things as we had the vechile to ourselves which made the trip more special Adam is very socialble and knowledgable and took us to places not listed, we got to see all the waterfalls, some hilltop lookouts and more wildlife spotting along the way. Couldn't have asked for a better day.

Our family had an amazing day on this tour. Adam was the best guide that we could ask for. He was extremely knowledgeable and excellent company. This was a great way to see this part of the world.

It ended up that I was the only one on the tour that day due to a last minute cancellation- luckily for me Tropical Trips don’t cancel if you are the only one (like some other tours do!) I had a great day, thanks very much!

We just loved this trip, everything was absolutely perfect and if you want to see Australian wildlife then this is the trip for you. Adam our tour guide went out of his way to make sure our day was as fun as possible. We saw everything from snakes, kangaroos, platypus, bats, wallabies and more birds than I can even begin to write down. Adam was knowledgable, interesting and we enjoyed listening to his music as we travelled around. The food provided at both stops was really tasty. When I come back to Port Douglas we will be doing this tour again as it’s quite possibly the best thing we have done in the 2 years we have lived in Australia. Thanks for making it such a fantastic day.

We did the tour to Atherton Tablelands with Adam. I booked it after going with another company to the Daintree Rainforest, which was lovely, but we didn't have much luck seeing wildlife. I'm SOOOO glad we did this trip. It's definitely one of the highlights of our travels--not just in Australia, but ever! I'm not sure why this trip is not more popular. (We heard it's because there's too much driving involved, but we've been on day trips in other countries that involved MUCH more driving than this, e.g. to see Mayan ruins). You get to see another side of Australia which is just as beautiful, IMHO, as the rest of it. You pass a lot of different types of farms--the tea plantation was especially lovely. But of course the highlight of this tour is the wildlife! If you prefer to see wildlife in their natural habitats but want a pretty sure-fire bet you'll see some, this is the tour for you. We especially enjoyed feeding the rock wallabies at Granite Gorge--a memory we will always treasure! We also saw kangaroos, tree kangaroo, possum, platypus, and lots of birds, a snake, eels, turtles, and fish. He even made a special stop so we could see the red-tailed black Cockatoos. We also saw amazing trees and a lovely waterfall. The food was all good and Adam was a fantastic tour guide. I am eternally indebted to Adam for helping me locate my purse which I left behind at one of our stops. He is extremely patient, friendly, knowledgeable, interesting, a fantastic guitarist, and a great driver! I HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Port Douglas area!!!

Adam picked us it on time and we headed to the Daintree forest for a hike and mossman gorge. Had a quick coffee and scones and then covered cape tribulation, had interesting delicious ice cream made of local nuts and fruits. We saw lots of animal. Boyd’s Dragon Lizard, saw a cassowary, We did the Daintree River. Saw a few out of season little crocs, a green snake and a python. Lunch was a highlight. Adam can cook! A grilled lunch and a very cool swimming hole. The highlight was a medium Goanna lizard on a pole at the lunch outdoor hut. Adam was a excellent guide and a rocker! We are from the USA and we loved talking Rock and Roll with him. Everything about the trip was spot on. I love Australia and the people. Especially dear Adam

Adam was knowledgeable and friendly. And kept us entertained. He was able to take pictures of small or distant wildlife and zoom in to show them in detail. We had a great time!

An extremely interesting and truly enjoyable day for everyone to enjoy! Passionate, enthusiastic guides who help you spot things that you wouldn’t have even realised where there and deliver information in a way that doesn’t make you feel bombarded or overwhelmed! 100% would recommend!!

We chose this company as they do small number tours rather than a minibus/coach and as they rated so highly on here. They far exceeded our expectations (which were already high!). From the moment we were picked up by Adam, our guide for the day we felt comfortable and looked after. Adam was so friendly and knowledgeable, he pointed out so much to us in the rainforest that we would never have seen without his help. It was fascinating, and one of the best tours we’ve ever done. The vehicle was very new and clean, lots of space and condos in the rainforest roads. The pace was perfect, not rushed, nor too slow. The quality and timing of food stops perfect, Adam made sure we were happy in the air con, and supplied plenty of water. We had a fantastic day, and would love to do their other tour or a personalised tour in the future with this company. Highly recommended and THANK YOU for such a fantastic day!
