Honestly the best experience we have ever had. From the start where we stuffed up our ticket dates, they just made it work as in there words "We don't want to put you out at all, the kids look excited" even though it was our fault. Each and ever crew member was chatty, informative and interactive with everyone on board. No question seemed to be an inconvenience for them. Our kids range from 7 - 18 and all of them loved it as a first time experience.

We have done several trips on the Reef over the years, and we would rate the Calypso Low Isles as one of the best we have done - genuinely enjoyed the trip. We went on the half-day tour on Saturday 20th and the crew of Nicole, Cedric and George were great - they were great hosts, very professional and enthusiastic to share all they knew with us and balanced with ensuring we felt safe at same time. We saw burrowed clams and many fish and many turtles - we even swam with a couple. Time flew past too quickly, and we didn't want to leave. We highly recommend it for families, groups of friends or even solo - we had all examples on board and will do it again next year. Cheers Paul and Jan

A great morning with Jorg, Jared and Taylor. All staff were very welcoming and professional. We had young kids (3 and 6mths) and they were understanding and helpful. There was option of glass bottom boat look at the reef or snorkel tour. With kids we didn’t boat. If we had of been without them it’d have been snorkel as top choice. We were so lucky for cap Jorg to spot himp back whale and her calf on our way to island. A once in life time moment with them swimming right up to us, 3m from boat! Well organised tour and friendly staff. unfortunately, it was a very windy day and the visibility in the water was poor. Also very little coral to see or fish. Wouldn’t do it again.

We truly enjoyed the trip - we went with my 18 yo daughter and friend. We went on the half day tour with Nicole, Cedric and George - it was a full house on the Saturday trip 20th. Fantastic half day snorkeling at Low Isles with the family, everyone saw a turtle or 2 even our 3and 6 year old grandchildren. The crew were fantastic with young children and older adults. Highly recommended. Cheers Tim McD

Loved the small group tour. The tour guides were sensible, mature and always happy to help. Can't recommend this tour highly enough. My only suggestion is to BYO travel sickness tablets. The website says they sell tablets on board, but they didn't sell them until the return journey (people were sick on the outward journey). Please amend your website Calypso! Realistically, by the time you get everyone on the boat there isn't enough time to sell travel tablets - as the crew pointed out, they won't take effect quickly enough.

This is a fabulous short trip that let's you snorkel, swim, enjoy a glass bottom boat tour AND explore a tropical island with lighthouse in only 4 hours. It takes only about 20/30 mins to get to and from Port Douglas on a fast small boat with a small group on board - especially good when the weather is less than perfect. The crew were fantastic - knowledgeable, professional and fun. A longer visit would be be preferable but if this is the time you have you won't regret it. Locals please remember to look for local discount offers, such good value. I will be going again ASAP!

Yesterday we went on the Calypso half day tour to Low Isles. It was great. Three highly experienced, knowledgeable young men took us out. For us the half day was quite sufficient as we didn’t snorkel but had a great time. We learned a lot and it was a lovely experience. Well done guys.

I took part in the snorkelling. It was amazing. I was swimming within touching distance to three turtles. The staff were very helpful and friendly but the turtles were the stars!

We really enjoyed the trip out and the time on the island. My daughter snorkeled and had a great time. I did the glass bottom boat ride and it was okay. Went on the tour around the island and had a good time.

Our cruise ship was late sending out tenders and they would not let us change our booking ir provide a refund for missing the 730 time frame that was out of our control. All we got was sorry and they took our $600 without any other options.

This was a great tour. There were not many people on the boat, the staff were incredible and the food was good. They were helpful with snorkelling gear and provided sea sickness medication for $3

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the team onboard the cruise from Port Douglas to Cairns at 8am on Friday 19th January. Due to the extreme weather conditions (and potentially another cyclone), our private road transfer back to cairns airport was cancelled last minute. If it weren’t for the kind staff onboard, we would have had no other way of getting home to Melbourne and would have been stranded. Despite the boat being fully booked, they were kind enough to let us board and we were able to make our flight home. We cannot recommend them enough, as they clearly go above and beyond for their customers. Again, thank you so much to all the staff.

We had a great time onboard Calypso Blue, visiting three great sites on Opal Reef. It was a busy day and the crew did a great job managing everyone’s needs, with a mix of certified divers, intro divers and snorkellers. My 12 year old son did an intro dive which I joined and he absolutely loved it, with great visibility and a collection of nice bombies to dive around with some cool fish and coral. I highly recommend trying an intro dive with Calypso as they are so safe and friendly and know all the best sites, so give it a go if you’re sitting on the fence! In general, they were very good at managing kids with a few of the younger ones needing extra help and buoyancy aids which they had at hand. Lunch was delicious and the staff were great hosts, happy to help in any way. Good value for money if you’re comparing with other providers. Thanks again team!
