        Best tour guide
Brett was our tour guide for the day He was so knowledgeable about the area and he told all his stories and information with such enthusiasm that it made the whole experience so much more fun and interesting. He was very inclusive of everyone who boarded the bus introducing everyone as they boarded. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the train a tree had fallen over the tracks but Brett was quick to rearrange our whole day and take us back to the Skyrail and do the tour in reverse which was brilliant. To overall the tour from start to finish was well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

        Excellent in every aspect
Every aspect of this day was well thought out and executed. Even when the scenic train got cancelled at the last minute, Chris came up with a new plan and by the time we got to the next stop, all the arrangements had been settled by the office staff. A great overview of the day, a bit of the area’s history and Chris always being where he said he would meet us and on time.

        Excellent start to finish
Chris was our guide for the day. From his heart welcome to information about the area and a few stories to orient us, he was all in. The scenic train was cancelled as we waited for the train to pull in. Chris went to plan b and then c, and by the time we got to the sky rail nearby, the office had rescheduled our tours for the day. No worries! We were in good hands. Every pickup and drop off occurred without a problem. Directions clear.Appreciated the day before reminder so I didn’t have to go through all our paperwork to ensure we were meeting at the right time and place.

        Fantastic day
Fantastic tour with Brett. Started the day at Hartleys crocodile park. Got to see quite a few crocodiles and go on a short boat cruise. Unfortunately due to heavy rainfall, the scenic rail was closed but we were able to do the scenic cable car ride which has some incredible views. Spent a short time in Kuranda for lunch, a variety of food options and shops for souvenirs. Brett is a great guide for the day and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour.

        Brett’s Kuranda Day tour
We had a wonderful day trip with Brett , knowledgeable host and friendly. Good for young children and old alike, try the train ride up and the sky rail back. Leave time for the butterfly enclosure and try the local food shops cafes etc. Beautiful location and an hour out of Port Douglas. Highly recommended

Atherton Tablelands food and Wine Tour.
An excellent foody tour to the Tablelands. Brett was a very good guide. It's nice not to have a tour where all the other tours go to. We even went into somebody's living room for a demonstration. Would highly recommend this tour.

        Great guide, delicious Australian food!
Brett was very friendly, amazing with remembering names and very knowledgeable and passionate about the Tablelands and the people who work there, many of whom are his friends! We learned about the production of many Australian foods. We also ate VERY well! My eggs Benedict with bacon on Turkish bread was the most delicious I have ever had! Thank you Brett for answering our many questions!

        Absolutely wonderful and unique experience
We joined Atherton Tablelands full day tour guided by Brett and absolutely loved it, the scenery was stunning all the way though and the stops/inclusions were so many, with tasty treats and surprise tastings :) Such a great value for money too. Seeing platypus in its natural habitat was one of the many highlights! Brett was the best guide we've ever had on any tour, full of knowledge, great stories and humour. Will definitely be back for more tours of the area as there is so much on offer, amazing views of the varied landscapes and adventures to be had with Brett's Tours.

        Great tour with Brett
Booked this tour online Easy pick up from our hotel,16 of us on the bus. A great bunch of people,Brett very chatty and informative. We took the skyrail,up into the rain forest where Brett met us,and drove us to kuranda village,an hour or so there,we had lunch,he collected us and took us to the station. We boarded the kuranda scenic railway train, for the scenic trip back down. Once collected,we dropped into a bar in palm cove for a quick farewell drink,a very pleasant day.

We had a great day with Chris even though our train was delayed well over an hour. He was knowledgeable in a broad area of subjects and was able to answer any questions thrown his way with the help of Bosun.

A very enjoyable day. Our driver/guide Chris was very helpful and informative. The views from the Skyrail were amazing. If you want to use the Skyrail app to give you the audio guide, you need to fully load the app and open it before you get on the cable car. Kuranda was very interesting although the time went too quickly. We had been looking for a resaonably priced aboriginal painting and found one in Widiworks in Kuranda, which we were happy to purchase. The train ride back was interesting with occasional audio and some great views, but there was a lot of time when the track was hemmed in by forest.

We had such a good day on this tour. It's definitely worth doing if you're in Port Douglas or Cairns areas. The hotel pick up and drop off is included, which is great.

Chris was our tour guide for the day. He was great, very friendly, knowledgeable and made everyone feel welcome, ensured we had the right tickets and were in the right spot for each part of the tour.

We took the Scenic Railway up to Kuranda, had lunch at Sprout Cafe (recommend going here for a healthier lunch option) and then had time to wander around the shops and markets before Chris drove us back down to the Sky Rail station.

The scenery going up on the railway and then over the rainforest canopy was just amazing !

Chris was then waiting for us at the gift shop ready to take us back to Port Douglas via a quick drink at Palm Cove and then some tour bus karaoke for the remainder of the trip back.

The only suggestion I would make is to perhaps not stop at Palm Cove or at least check if the group wants to. By that time of the afternoon, everyone in our group was fairly exhausted from the sightseeing during the day and keen to get back to Port Douglas, rather than adding an extra hour to the trip back.

Had a great day with Chris, our guide & driver, with knowledgeable & entertaining commentary. Took the Kuranda train with the beautiful old historic carriages & had some amazing views over the Barron Gorge & the spectacular waterfalls. Chris made life so much easier by driving us up the hill to the Kuranda township where we walked around & had lunch at a German food cafe & purchased some unique aboriginal art. Then onto the Skyrail Cablecars for the spectacular trip back with a stopover to view the waterfalls & lakes again.Chris looked after us all like a mother hen & made this day exciting & stress free with a final stop at the Surf Club at Palm Cove which was a great way to finish. We highly recommend this tour from Brett’s Kuranda tours 10/10

Punctual, polite, extensive knowledge about Port Douglas and the hinterland. Brett made everyone feel welcomed and introduced everybody to each other.
His people skills made us all feel comfortable and welcomed. He always did that little bit extra that makes the difference between good and excellent service.

What a great day out - so glad we chose this tour. On line booking was easy, and the pick up at our resort was right on time. Our driver Chris and his little navigator Bosun were such a delight to spend a day with. It was a very well organised day, everything ran like clockwork. Chris's well timed commentary was great. We took the train up to Kuranda from Freshwater Station, spent an hour and a half in Kuranda for lunch and a walk around town and the markets. We were picked up at a pre-arranged meeting spot and taken to the the Sky Rail Terminal for the trip down across the forest canopy. Views from there were stunning and the stop off at Barron Falls was excellent viewing. Great idea to stop in at the Palm Cove Surf Club as a last stop before going 'home'. All up it was 8:15am to 4:30pm from port Douglas, and worth every cent. Thank you to Chris and his terrific off-sider Bosun.

The trip itself in terms of the itinerary is well worth your time but a series of errors on our particular tour impacted our overall enjoyment and comfort.

The driver initial error was leaving behind two customers but he was then led astray by his team who clearly did not have a plan B. As a result:
      1. The driver was asked to turn back more than an hour into the trip
      2. Once we had travelled back about 10 mins, he was asked to turn back again
      3. He was sent to the sky rail by error, resulting in us missing the train and being sent back to the sky rail

Despite these errors, we would have been more than happy to give this tour a higher rating had it not been for actions of the owner. He was arrogant and unapologetic in his comments to myself and my cousin when we asked questions about the new itinerary for the day. It was a hot day and we were concerned about how the delays would impact my baby but he displayed no empathy at all. He spoke to us as though we were beneath him, making comments such as, 1. So, what we all have babies? 2. Calm down 3. These things happen 4. You need to change your attitude, etc. We did not raise our voices once, yet he continued to insinuate through comparison with other customers that our behaviour was untoward, not recognising that our questions came from a place of concern for the baby.

If it were not for the kindness of the driver who really tried to make our day better, we would be giving this less than 3 stars.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the trip itself and that the driver was kind. However, we sincerely apologize for the unfortunate experience you had when interacting with Brett during your tour. We take your concerns seriously, and we are truly sorry for any rudeness or lack of empathy you felt during your interactions with Brett. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we deeply regret that this affected your overall experience. Our team is committed to making every guest feel valued, and it’s clear that we fell short in this instance. Please know that your comments are being taken into account, and we will address this internally to prevent any future occurrences. We truly appreciate your understanding, and we hope that you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable experience in the future. Best regards, Andrea

We were 3 couples holidaying together for 10 nights in Port Douglas and were keen to do a Kuranda Tour. We were recommended to Brett’s Kuranda Tours and what a great day we had. Our tour guide was Dale and he was fantastic. We were picked up at 11.00am in Port Douglas and we were doing the Sky Rail first and then coming back from Kuranda on the train. Dale was so informative, he uses a mic on the small bus (air conditioned) so it is very easy to hear. He told us so many interesting stories about the region with a lot of history thrown in, it was great and at times very funny. He took us into the Sky Rail station and made sure we all got on the Sky Rail with instructions that he would meet us at Kuranda Sky Rail Station. Now, it is only a 10 minute walk from the Station to the small town of Kuranda, but he drove us into town (it was hot) and pointed out areas of interest and dropped us off and advised a meeting time to take us back to the Train Station. There was a Bird Park and a Butterfly Park if you were interested. We just had some lunch and a look around and then it was time to meet Dale again. He dropped us off at the Kuranda Rail Station and said he would meet us at the other end. He picked us up at the station and then we had a 30 minute stop at Palm Cove for a quick drink and then home to Port Douglas. We were back at our accommodation by 7.00pm.
The Sky Rail was fantastic. There were 2 stops if you wanted to stop on the way up to Kuranda, both stops were really good but there were quite a few steps so if this doesn’t suit just stay on the Sky Rail. Kuranda was a lovely little town, quite a few shops, lots of places to eat. We went Gold Class on the train, it was an extra $50 each but we felt it was worth it. From what we could see the seats were a lot more comfortable than the bench seats in the other carriages. The hostess we had was lovely and the old carriage was really beautiful (none of the carriages have air conditioning). Unlimited drinks (beer, wine, bubbly, soft drinks) were included, as well as snacks – small pack of Macadamia nuts each, a platter of local cheese/dips/biscuits and dried fruit each finishing off with a Mango sorbet.
We had a great day out, it was a very easy day, not much walking (which suited me) and Dale really made the day. It would not have been the same if we just had a driver and not a tour guide who knew so much about the area. Highly recommend this tour, suitable for all ages.

This was a great tour. We loved travelling in the train whose tracks were laid at the end of the 19th century and whose carriages were also over 100 years old. The views were terrific and it was clearly a major engineering feat to build it at all at that time. We also enjoyed the variety of choice of activities available to us on arrival in Kuranda. But it was probably all topped by the incredible return journey in the Sky Train as we glided over the top of the rainforest canopy. Truly a great experience. The day was hugely enhanced by the knowledge and helpfulness of Towie, our guide who did his best throughout the day to make sure everyone had a great time.

Booked this day trip for our last day in Port Douglas. Chris was an informative and funny driver. Great view from the sky rail. Unfortunately the scenic Train had broken down and we were not able to complete this part of the trip. We all rode the bus back down with Chris making us laugh with his stories, as this was completley out of their control. Kuranda has the best chocolate shop and we had lunch at the Crepe Restaurant. Amazing! huge and delious menu with plenty of choices.
We also received a refund for the train price before we had even returned to Port Douglas.
Would recommend for anyone wanting to do this without the hassle of driving yourself.
