About the operator

- surajl20250 contributionsMossman, Daintree, and Capre tribulationThe tour included a visit to Mossman Gorge, Daintree rainforest, and Cape Tribulation among other things, so basically it was a long day but Scott, out tour guide, made sure that we enjoy the day and learn about the history and culture of these places. It is worth every penny, and if Scott's your guide then you're going to have a great time.Written 8 February 2025
- 536spenserd0 contributionsA great way to see Daintree and Cape TribulationThis was a beautiful and insightful trip! Our local guide/driver Scott knew so much about local plants & animals, as well as local and aboriginal history. It was great to be able to hear and learn so much with the backdrop of the gorgeous Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. The bus was quite comfortable and they ran the tour even with only a handful of people.Written 6 February 2025
- leosY253MQ0 contributionsGreat recommendationGreat trip, very dimamic and comfortable, and great guide. Funny explanations, the driverguide give us a very good feeling about the region and Australia.Written 6 February 2025
- 259candacea0 contributionsA Must Do TourAn amazing trip! Very comfortable van/bus. Daniel was very knowledgeable about the rain forest, the widelife and history of the area. We went to the Mossman Gorge, and a riverboat cruise looking for crocodiles and saw two. We continued to Daintree Forest and had very nice lunch at a cafe in the forest. We went to Cape Tribulation and stopped for ice cream on the way back. This tour is a must to see so much in such little time!!Written 4 February 2025
- Clive P0 contributionsDay trip from Cairns.Very good guide who gave out lots of interesting information. The bus journey was very good. Managed to see one crocodile in the wild. The beach at Tibulation Point was beautiful.Written 29 January 2025
- barbaramlloyd620 contributionsRainy Rainforest experienceGot picked up early from our apartments by Adrian H and the whole journey from Port Douglas was informative with lots of stories and tales about Australian history and the local flora and fauna. The weather wasnt the best but Adrian got us from one place of interest to the next with military precision. We had scones in Mossman and a beautiful lunch in the Rainforest then ice-cream on the way back in Daintith. The scenery was stunning and even though we didnt see any saltwater crocs on our river cruise it was a totally awesome unique experience.10/10 and would highly recommend whatever the weatherWritten 27 January 2025
- 610cassif0 contributionsFascinating look at the Daintree RainforestThe tour was very interesting and informative. Our driver told good stories that kept us interested during extended drives. Not a good time of the year to see animals or clear blue water because it is rainy season.Written 27 January 2025
- josephmW5256OY0 contributionsDaintree trip with Adrian H.Fantastic trip! Adrian H was an amazing host who knew so much. Far better than j expected. Thank you! Great vehicle too, great lunch and ice cream!Written 27 January 2025
- tammye890 contributionsGreat way to see the rainforest! We enjoyed the scenic views of the rainforest. We took about 1/2 hour bus ride to the sky tram and took that up to Kuranda. The views were spectacular. There were 2 stops to see the forest and a waterfall. You have time to Kuranda where you can pay to do other things or walk around and shop. We then took the railway back down. The ride through the forest was beautiful and they told us some history abojt the train and area. The trip was very organized, staff was great. It was a fun day!Written 25 January 2025
- Alison L0 contributionsSolo travellerAmazing views of the rain forest. I suffer from vertigo but felt safe on the cable car. Very informative bus transfer. The driver told us interesting things on route. The train ride was spectacular, again with lots of history about its origin.Written 24 January 2025

- ChandraJyothi0 contributionsRecipe for an Unforgettable trip.. Untouched Scenery, Comfortable Coach and Enthusiastic Adrian..It was a wonderful and unforgettable trip. The surroundings were mesmerizing, the drive was comfortable and exciting both. Our guide, Adrian.H is just awesome. He narrated so many stories, local legends. He was very knowledgeable and had a gift for narration. He's an extremely friendly and a jolly guy and my 8 year old son declared Adrian as the best Man he met in Australia 😃 The entire trip was well planned and well organized. We stopped at all the beautiful places had enough time to click some pictures and selfies and also look around and enjoy the tranquility of the place. Thank you Downunder Tours for such a lovely trip and Thank you Adrian for everything during the trip and the Ice creams🍦🍦 😋Written 17 January 2025

The Train up to Kuranda (and make sure you go to the Heritage Market there, allow 2 hours there and have Lunch) was fantastic. Do Gold Class it makes for a really special Trip and a wonderful and relaxing and comfortable way to see the region and that amazing waterfall (2 of). We loved this way more than the Cable Cars back but doing both is the way to go, Train first.

We landed in cairns with a plan to cover Kuranda village & other scenic locations. We drove down to the sky rail station from there a bus took us to the train station on the way guide in bus gave a brief of Cairns. We boarded the train the coaches were clean & the journey was comfortable. On the way up towards Kuranda we get to see some breath taking views. Train stops at two scenic locations from where you can click beautiful pictures. There are lot of activities you can do once you reach Kuranda. Natures trail is the best, the tall trees & their branches take you into the wild....

We were picked up from out accommodation in Port Douglas and taken to Freshwater Station in Cairns for the trip up to Kuranda. The train journey was interesting with a couple of stops on the way. There was plenty of room to move about to take photos.
On arrival in Kuranda it was just a short walk to the village. There was also a river cruise which we did not see until too late but that would also have afforded beautiful views.
We returned on the Skyrail which gave stunning views over the canopy.
On arrival back in Cairns we had a short wait for the coach back to Port Douglas. The coach driver in the morning had given us a time frame for the return journey on the Skyrail so we knew how long we could stay at the two stops. This was very helpful.
A lovely, well arranged day out.

We took the Skyrail to Kuranda and rode the train back to town. We upgraded to the Gold Class service. That's the way to go. Comfortable seating, served snacks, beer and wine all the way to town. Stopped At the Barron Falls Station to take pictures of the Barron Falls. The train hosts were knowledgeable and friendly.

We rode the train with their Gold Class Service. We not only sat in comfortable seats but we drank wine and had snacks along the way! We were able to open the windows to get better photographs, which I loved. We rode the Skyrail down the mountain which was enjoyable. The scenery was beautiful and it was a great day!

We want to visit Kuranda by railway and cover all the attraction around Kuranda in a days time. We are planning to visit in November. Our accommodation will be near port Douglas. What will be the ticket price including food, transport, site seeing? We are 4 adults and 2 kids 5 to 6 years old.
