Make your own way to Innisfail Commercial Wharf to board your boat and meet your guide and small group of no more than 14 people. Then, set sail along a serene stretch of the Johnstone River, passing through the heart of the UNESCO-listed Wet Tropics.
Keep your camera close to hand as you glide through mangrove swamps and dense rain forest, set against a backdrop of green mountains. Along the way, listen as your guide points out native wildlife and natural features of the river, and enjoy spectacular underwater views from your glass-bottomed boat.
If you’re lucky, perhaps spot wild crocodiles lazy on the riverbanks, fish and turtles swimming through the water, or water snakes darting along the surface.
After an unforgettable time on the water, return to Innisfail, where your tour ends back at the wharf.
