Daintree tour - best tour guide!
Damien our tour guide made a memorable experience even more enjoyable with his knowledge and kindness. We learnt a lot of amazing facts about the areas we visited (Mossman Gorge, Daintree, Cape Tribulation), and the kids loved chatting with him and asking questions. A rarity to see someone so well suited to his job. Definitely request Damien if you are thinking of booking this tour - we had a great day!

    Great Time in Daintree
What an absolutely phenomenal tour experience! Damian is a top notch tour guide and made our trip one for the books! He took time to point out interesting facts, species, and sites at each location we stopped at, amd his enthusiasm while he did it was outstanding! This ends up being about 12 hours from start to finish, and not for a moment did he come across as any less than stoked! And his chief goal was to make sure we all had an impeccable time. We would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to experience all Daintree has to offer, from the rainforest walk to the croc tour, lunch to ice cream, we loved it.

    A great experience!
This tour really does provide an experience of the tropical forest. Tribulation Bay was stunning. Apparently it was our guide, Orion’s first day guiding the tour and he did a fantastic job. He was very knowledgeable about the area/activities speaking from personal experience. It was a long but enjoyable day. 🇨🇦

    Once in a lifetime trip
Such an amazing experience! Beautiful sights and the perfect amount of things to see an do in one day. Mossman Gorge was as beautiful as the photos show, but there were loads of horse flies! The rainforest did not disappoint! Simply breathtaking. Damian (our guide for the day) was super friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He really helped make the trip that little bit more special. Aaron was in training, but he was also really friendly and knowledgeable and will make a great guide. Thank you both for making this once in a lifetime trip such a memorable one!

    Fantastic
If you want to see the Daintree rainforest go on this tour! Our guide Stu was fantastic, so much fun, really friendly, knowledgeable and had some great stories. As a solo traveller I was made to feel at ease. I split the tour into a 2 day package and stayed a night up in Cape Trib which was a great way to really get a feel for the rainforest and to see more of the wildlife. Stu was there to pick me back up the following day to continue the tour. Unfortunately the weather stopped us from completing the after lunch portion of the trip due to flash flooding, it looked like we’d be staying the night at Cape Trib however Stu was extremely proactive and he managed to get us out safely after a couple of hours. This was an experience in itself and just shows how the weather can change instantly. Although I didn’t get to take part in the afternoon activities if they were anything like the morning it would be 5stars! Swimming in the gorge amazing, croc tour very interesting and we managed to see Cassowary’s!! The rainforest is beautiful, definitely a must see on anyone’s trip to Cairns.

The trip was cool, comfortable and surprisingly informative and entertaining. Jordan was a great, relaxed guide and Chris on the river boat taught me to have a whole new appreciation and understanding of the crocodile and the rapidly changing habitat.

Due to the recent rains, the tour was rejigged, no bad thing. Roger our guide, was very informative and knowledgeable of the areas covered. He made it a fun trip. Managed to see a crocodile and cassowary. Lunch was adequate. Highly recommended.

    Absolutely amazing your!!
We did the Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge and Daintree trip today. Unbelievable is an understatement! Our tour leader Carlos was beyond exceptional! My family of four left RAVING about the tour. We saw SO MUCH, Salt Water Crocodiles, a Cassowary with his two chicks, bugs and fish and so much beauty. I am not sure what I expected but today was the best tour of our lives. Carlos is so knowledgeable, funny and engaging. We left with incredible stories, history of the land and so much details of the forest, flora and fauna! Exceptional service and experience. I really cant say enough, he basically packed in a whole year of information into one day, and he made it fun! If there was only a way to make it a 10 stars out of 5 stars I would. Book your tour now, and if you’re lucky enough to get Carlos as your guide, get ready for the tour of a lifetime!

Company was quite disorganised on our day...picked up 40 mins late, driver had to spend time processing payments making us more late. We did not get to see and do everything on the itinerary and the things we did do were rushed. No time to swim at Mossman Gorge either. And, boat booked for crocodile tour could only seat 50 passengers and we were 54, 4 customers missed out on tour. Not confident I would book again with this company. Our guide tho was great. The guide of the other bus told his passengers there would be a fine of $365 if they seam at Mossman Gorge? I'm not sure under what law he could or anyone else could expiate such a fine. Should not lie to customers.

I find this a little unfair given you demanded we refund the full 780AUD for this tour with threats of a bad review and public shaming if we did not. Yes we made a mistake, yes unfortunately you missed out on the crocodile cruise, yes we have taken steps to ensure this can never happen again and yes we refunded the entire tour price. Will a full refund , a sincere apology and aknowledgment from you that the rest of the tour was great I find this a bit to harsh.

Due to COVID the tour was running only 3 times per week. It took forever to pick up all the passengers. There were only 21 of us, but the bus stopped at Cairns, Trinity Beach, Palm Cove and Port Douglas.
The first stop was at Mossman Gorge.
There is a cafe where we had a chance to buy drinks. It would be nice if a morning tea there was included in price after 2 hours on the bus.
I think that the smoke ceremony was a waste of time. I expected the aboriginal person to be dressed in traditional clothing with a body paint. The presenter was in his uniform with a sunglasses on. :) There was a very short smoke ceremony and a brief description about natural materials used as a body paint.
Then we had an opportunity to swim at Mossman Gorge. It was stunning, but we only had 20 min there. Another 15 min would make a big difference.
The next stop was a Daintree River cruise. It was a highlight of our trip, as we saw 5 crocodiles. The guide was very knowledgeable and called each crocodile by name. But again, instead of promised 45 min, the cruise was half an hour maximum. The river is absolutely beautiful, and a bit more time there would be nice.
Lunch was supposed to be at Cape Trib Beach House. The website states “This is absolute waterfront dining with the sand between your toes”. The lunch location was changed without a notice and we stayed at the cafe on the side of the road.
Then we went for a walk in the rain forest. It was pouring rain at that stage, and the walk was very short. Due to the rain, We stopped at the Cape Tribulation beach for 5 minutes or less, I did not even have enough time to take photos...
The rain forest is amazing and it would be nice to have a bit more time in each location. I felt we spent a lot of time on the bus to have a 20 min swim/ stop at Mossman Gorge, a 30 min cruise and a short stroll in the rain forest.

Hi sea1234567, Thanks for your feedback, we do appreciate you taking the time. I apologise that our driver had a few different pick up stops on the way. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about this and it is just luck of the draw as to how many stops we have to make on the day although I understand this can be frustrating. I am surprised to hear that you didn't enjoy the Welcome to Smoke Ceremony as it is usually a highlight on most itineraries. Mossman Gorge do great work in supporting the traditional owners of the area and we are proud to support them whilst giving our customers a taste of the traditional culture but it is supposed to be just that, a taste, so I'm sorry if this didn't tick the boxes for you. I do take on board your comment that more time spent in the Gorge itself would've been better, we are always seeking to improve. I do apologise about the change in lunch location, unfortunately to keep the tour running post Covid some changes have had to be made and our lunch location is one of those. It certainly is not as scenic. A return trip to Cape Trib is around 300km on winding ranges, so the day is a long one with much time spent on the bus. I'm sorry if you felt like you spent all your day on the bus but I do hope that your spotting of the crocodiles in the wild made the day worth it. Again, thank you for taking the time to give feedback, we really do appreciate it.

Want to say a huge thank you to Kyle for an amazing tour from Cairns up to Cape Tribulation, for someone only in their mid-20s his knowledge on all things Australia and more is outstanding, I've learnt more on this one trip than I have in the entire 7 months prior living in Australia. Not only did he provide tonnes of really interesting information he also made the trip so enjoyable and fun.
The tour itself was also great, swimming in the Mossman gorge river, seeing crocodiles in their natural habitat and getting to walk through the oldest rainforest in the world was unbeatable, even in the rain (what else do you expect for a rainforest!)
Would definitely recommend this company and pray you get Kyle as your guide, 10/10 guy!

Out of my week long Cairns trip, this tour was the best. Tom was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and kind.

As a solo tourist who can't hire a car this was a great way to explore north Queensland. I learnt so much about indigenous culture, the rainforest and local life. Tom was able to point out all the interesting flora and fauna. Prepare yourself for cold water as Mossman George is freezing but it's worth it to jump in. Time showed me and the girlies how to ride the small water fall in the gorge.

The ice cream was really nice and the restaurant we stopped at provided a good filling meal.

The Daintree tour was nice, we did spot
some baby crocs but if you're on a tight budget and dont go you'd spend the 40 minutes with the tour guide. I went on a few tours with this tour company and all of them were really nice and easy to get along with so you would still have a good time.

It’s a really wonderful area to visit. Our driver/ guide was good. The only issue was that it rained most of the time we were out of the bus. The rain isn’t the businesses fault at all, however a store of large umbrellas on the bus would be an easy fix and would have made our day much better. A few hundred dollar umbrella investment by the company on umbrellas that could have been reused multiple times would have solved the issue. As it turned out some of the group came home partly wet and cold including me. Some stayed in the bus at the sites because they didn’t want to risk getting any wetter than they already were. We had to use a beach towel over our heads to view one of the sites. The boat trip as part of it was very wet and the group was huddled on half the boat with wind blowing rain sideways under the roof. Apart from the rain and lack of protection from it, the area is stunning and well worth a visit. It’s worth checking the rain forecast and booking accordingly.

My family and I had a great experience on this tour.

Even though I contemplated renting a car and driving around, as this tour was pricey (for me), it was well worth it. As you can't beat a local who knows where to go, has stories and insights to tell you and the kids, and has a load of humour and character to boot. And being with like minded people gives it a good social mix too.

Our tour guide, Stu was a really interesting and warm character. Full of fun and wit.
One of my favourite moments was when he took my 6 year old girl to the front of the minibus, while we were waiting and travelling via the car ferry. It was an enriching experience.

The sights themselves are good - we would most likely miss some sights and definitely miss some stories and warnings.
The swim in the gorge was short but great too.

All up, well worth going on!
The family and I had a great time!
I ticked a few things off the bucket list.

Thank you Stu! Don't let the great white bite!

The tour is great! Although we did not have the best weather conditions to see some crocs and enjoy the most of some parts of the trip, Stu made the tour a very unique experience. He did the best so we could experience the places we were visiting while sharing stories and interesting facts about the area that makes the bus trip really easy going despite the many hours!

One of the highlights was the Mossman Gorge stop, differently from the others stops we have quite a bit of time to enjoy there. We did the welcome to country ritual and we had good amount of time to walk and jump on the river for a swim. The river cruise is really chill and informative, but to see lot of crocs you will need the help from the weather.

Picked up at 7am and visited the Daintree Rainforest including a 1 hour riverboat tour where we saw lots of crocodiles. We had a walk through the rainforest and then headed off for Cape Tribulation which was beautiful. We had a lovely lunch which we opted to pay for and then headed to Mossman Gorge for a swim.

Along the way we stopped off at local businesses to buy some fruit and another for ice cream and these were beautiful. We also took the car ferry over the Daintree river which was a good experience.

Our tour guide was Jeremy who was the owner of the Sightseeing Tours business and he was an absolute fountain of knowledge. He gave us running commentary along the journey and overall was one of the most genuine people that you could meet.

It is a full day tour with a fair bit of travelling due to the distances needing to be covered and we got dropped back of at approximately 6:30pm. For us this was a one off trip as you could do it all self-drive but to be able to do it with an experienced tour guide and learn things along the way made it all the more special.

Would definitely recommend this trip rather than self drive as you learn about the whole area and see things which you would miss if there wasn't someone to point things out.

Bit dull. You spend a lot of time on the bus just to see average sites. The guide was good and he tried hard but doing it again, I would get a car and explore the area in more depth. Not good value for money.

We had a FANTASTIC day with tour guide Thomas. Travelling with 3 children 12 and under the whole experience was informative, fun, authentic, safe, professional and entertaining. Tom kept us engaged the whole day. He was genuinely passionate and knowledgable about every part, the itinerary was well balanced and well paced. Highlights included the smoke ceremony and swimming at Mossman Gorge and even the bus road home was fun with great music (thanks to Thomas!) and great company. A fantastic day we are very grateful!
