I booked (and paid) for an outer reef trip months in advance. With a few weeks left I was informed our trip was being canceled for "mechanical" reasons. We had to scramble a bit to get a similar trip on Passion III (which was very good). On the return to Cairns we saw the boat we were originally booked on also returning to port full of people. I think we were bumped for a "group" tour. Hey, jerks, if your gonna cancel people how about you (1) don't lie about the reason and (2) provide alternatives to those your bumping instead of making them do all the rebooking research/work.

Did a three dive trip on Silverswift and it went off very well. The staff were extremely well organised and put the divers at ease with their professionalism. Myself and my daughter had not dived since 2019 because of COVID but they did a quick skills test at the first dive site and revised our knowledge before stepping into the blue and it all came back quickly. A really positive trip. Thanks to our divemaster Scott Su too for his work.

I came to Cairns and choose this boat to go and meet the great barrier. Just 20 hours before the boat was supposed to leave I had a call from them saying that they were canceling the trip because they didn’t had enough people to go and told me to ask for the cancellation on TripAdvisor. When I did they said they wouldn’t give a me refund because I canceled with less then 24 hours for the ride. So far it all seems to be really dodgy for me.

You pay a basic price for the day trip, and then add the price for one, two or three dives, depending upon how many you want to do. I wanted to do two dives and one snorkel, so that’s what I paid for. I was very happy with that. Another diver initially paid for two dives, then added the third dive while on the boat, so you can change your mind and add on (assuming there is capacity.). The service on the boat was great - it’s a very professional, well-run company. I’ll definitely go with them again. The dive master, Sam, is absolutely fantastic. She is one of those rare people who ticks every box for leading great dives, and is a lovely person to chat with on the way home. All around fantastic, memorable day. Highly recommended.

Had a great day doing 3 certified dives with our dive master DJ on the Silverswift. The reef had an abundance of fish and healthy coral. On the boat the crew were very professional with COVID protocols in place to ensure everyone's safety. Would highly recommend diving with Silverswift!

Very great day out as certified divers. Wasn’t too crowded and the groups were very well organized into different schedules. Responsible prep talk and groups kept small. Loved the whole day and special thanks to our instructor Chi who kept the energy high the whole day. Food was more than enough and it was also well arranged that the snorklers and divers eat at different time so you didn’t have to “fight” over food :)

My wife and I did this trip in early December and had an absolute great day. We chose the snorkelling option but would love to go back and do the diving option. Great crew, great boat, great service and very obvious safety is very important and the reef, well, just WOW!! We only had about half the number of customers they could have fit so in and out of the water in about 5 mins. Except a bit longer with a full boat.

My husband and I had a 5* day with Ty and the team. They were the height of professionalism, I felt very safe and well looked after. Kit was great quality and there was a lady doing a final check before you stepped in to the water. Ty knew his dive sites well, knowing where all the wildlifes hiding spots and homes are, whilst being respectful of their habitat. I could write for days. Good food, great boat, excellent team, brilliant dive spots. Highly recommend.

From check in, to snorkel/dive briefings, to lunch and subsequently the ride back home, it was a great trip. We had knowledgable staff on board. It was quite a busy day as we had a few stops around the 3 reefs. The only downside was that I couldn't do my introductory dive on board because apparently they had too many divers. Shame.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Silverswift. Admittedly we had pristine weather and that will not always be the case. The crew were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Equipment was good quality, and none of us had any issues with masks leaking etc. The food was good enough without being exceptional. The boat is a great size. Big enough to be comfortable without being too big with ots of passengers. The access off the back of the boat for snorkeling is great. My only criticism would be the price of the photos the crew take. I would have purchased a few if they were priced better.

From the minute we booked the trip the customer service as amazing. With a food allergy we emailed them and were sent the menu for the day and reassured that there would be the appropriate options available. Then from the moment we stepped onto the boat the crew were amazing. Tea and coffee was served with muffins straight away and the food all day was absolutely delicious. They were very health and safety focused which was great and we got straight into watching a instruction video before our first dive. Our instructor Julian was brilliant and made us feel safe and confident under the water. Although having only booked one dive before, we booked onto a second dive on the boat! All the crew were brilliant, giving us lots of information about the Reef and the different fish/coral we saw under the water. Great talk from Jono about the reef after the first dive (think that’s his name sorry if not! He was Brazilian) The snorkelling was great fun too in beautiful spots. Highly recommend Silverswift, we had such a memorable day.

We booked the discovery dive trip with my husband as none had done diving before. In the first hour sailing they do the instructions for scuba diving by groups and after it I started feeling sea sick, so we cancelled the dives. Their refund policy was that they would return 100% if you did not go into the water. They took us to 3 spots to snorkel, being the 3rd one the best as it included a snorkel safari by Davo that was very instructive and fun. The buffet included 2 hot options and several cold ones. Soft drinks not included. Alex was going to be our diving instructor and she was great. Also there was an Asian girl with Nemo pants in the crew that helped me so much with my sea sickness that I can't thank her enough.

Loved this tour. We went to 3 different Great Barrier Reef sites. No shortage of crew members for help and instructions. Very safety conscience. I have a slight heart condition and was given a snorkel with black stripes so I could be easily spotted. Food was excellent. Reef sites fantastic, lots of fish and coral formations. The other tour I have been on was disappointing. I saw few fish at one site only. I would definitely recommend and go again.

From the minute we arrived at the marina the crew were helpful, and very friendly. The dive set up is excellent, the briefing was conducted in a comprehensive and yet informal fashion catering for the range of experiences. Ty, our dive master, was excellent. Balancing humour with careful advice he helped those less familiar ensure all was safe and sound, whilst providing a wealth of tips and tricks to those more experienced (you can never stop learning). The diving itself was so much better than I had worried about (you hear so much about the GBR bleaching/dying) and we got to see sharks, cuttlefish, rays, eels (moray and garden) and a turtle along with a fair sample of the 1500 species that live on the reef. The boat Silverswift uses is really comfy, and there is plenty of room (unlike other dive boats I have been on) and the food plentiful and varied. Whilst being a little more expensive than some of the other companies operating, having experienced some of the others, it is worth spending the extra. Totally recommended
