We did a wine tasting at Witches Falls which was really nice. I gave four stars for the review because the “hop on, hop off” isn’t as convenient as it sounds. There are 11 seats on the bus and bookings seem to take precedence over the hop on and off option.Written 29 December 2024

I mean you could rent a car and drive yourself and probably save yourself $35 since rental cars are pretty cheap.Written 12 December 2024

It can be a bit confusing with people wanting g to do different things , but it worked. We spent more time dropping other people off at other destinations than we did taking into the beautiful area. And then we had to spend more time waiting for other guests who were late for pick up at the end of the day. We also had a new tour guide who clearly didn't know where he was going as he kept getting lost. Vans were spacious and comfy. The scenery was beautiful.Written 15 October 2024

Had a wonderful experience! Michelle, our tour guide, pointed out many points of interest on our way to the mountain to begin our wine tasting experience. We had wine tasting at a traditional vineyard and a boutique winery. The wine pours were nicely done with a variety of wines. Lunch at the St. Bernard Inn was delicious with breath taking views! Michelle took our group to scenic overlooks for photo opportunities. The distillery stop was enjoyed by all. Our last was a fudge store. We enjoyed the samples! Unfortunately we did not see any kangaroos or koalas but did see kookaburras and beautiful St. Bernard dogs! Would definitely suggest this adventure!

This is an absolutely amazing trip- BOOK IT! We were picked up by a private van and given music control for the duration of the drive up the mountain. We visited 3 beautiful wineries with great mountain views, wine, and food. The wine was some of the best we have ever had, and more than got our moneys worth with the tasters. We stopped for lunch at St. Bernard’s Hotel where we were greeted by peacocks, 3 giant St. Bernard dogs, and amazing food. Then we went shopping on a cute strip before heading home. Scottie was a hilarious and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend for anyone who likes wine or just wants to spend time in the mountains.

I truly enjoyed my winery tour. The drivers were friendly and made me feel comfortable as a solo traveler. I didn't pick the lunch option at first but ended up getting it the day of, it was so worth it. I've done plenty of wineries but this is the only time I had to buy a bottle because it was so good. I highly recommend this tour for solo travelers and those who look like me.

I think that this tour is a hard one because for anybody that has done wine tours and tastings in the Barossa or Hunter Valley regions then they would be disappointed if they were truly looking for a wine tasting day. This day is great if you just want to get out to see beautiful Tamborine Mountain and relax with lunch and a few tastes of different wines. Wineries were too busy to really take the time to explain their wines and none actually had wineries or vineyards. Our experience overall with Pineapple Tours was not great. We arranged a private tour for a friends 40th birthday and unfortunately had issues from the moment the driver arrived all the way to getting home. He was not friendly, had no knowledge on wines or the area and did not communicate with us at all other than to be rude. We had also negotiated a rate with certain inclusions which were not provided and even the owner of the company failed to acknowledge this even after seeing it all in written confirmation from his staff and company. I would suggest being wary of a private tour with this company and maybe their basic run of the mill day tours with everybody would be fine but be prepared to be herded around. Surprising that no water or hand sanitizer was provided on the bus considering the current conditions we are in.

Hi Karen, Given that your company "Your Tourism Matters" is meant to support Queensland Toursim I find it greatly upsetting that you try to hurt it rather than support it by comparing our small but growing Queensland wine industry. The Barossa is the Barossa which is famous for its Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon and the Hunter has a wide variety of grapes that it's famous for and neither should be compared to Queensland wine as it's completely different growing conditions. Queensland has what is known as a cool climate wine region which means we are able to make more european style wines which isn't possible in hot climates such as the Barossa and Hunter Valley. I personally tried to explain a lot of this detail to your group but I found it quite difficult as you seemed more interested in drinking than listening which is perfectly fine, so I left you to enjoy yourselves which you seemed to be doing on the day. I feel that your review could have reflected the amount of effort that I personally put in to please your group which I do think the majority of your group appreciated. We are the only company that has an entirely brand new fleet of buses, our drivers all have great personalities and our tours are designed to be an experience and not just an avenue to get drunk which I feel is reflected in the hundreds of positive reviews that we recieve. I do hope that you can see the positive aspects that you gained out of doing this tour with us and see that we really are doing a fantastic job.

During this holiday, I’ve taken several tours similar to this one and definitely this once not the best. Our driver, Anthony, was sweet and trying his best but he told us that he has been in the company only for 6 week and he was trying to find his way, which it showed. Tour itself was confusing, there were many tours inside the tour, some doing some activities, others doing others, even people of two different buses got mixed up for some activities. Which is ok, but there was zero communication from the drivers, zero explanation of what was going on, or itineraries. At the first winery, there were merely waiters serving the wine, saying basic things about them and leaving. They were definitely not experts, they were just serving us. A couple bought some crackers from the restaurant and they brought them in the same package they got them from the supermarket :( not even place on a plate. Lunch was also confusing, driver kept saying that it was a pub with “pub food” but at the end it was a proper restaurant and he then said that actually it was his first time taking a group there. Bottom line, company try to take advantage of one tour to sell many other different ones that it becomes a bit messy. My positive input it’s the wonderful group of people I met. Other than that, I’ll recommend to look for another company.

For guests seeking a more intimate and structured experience, we recommend our fully guided winery tours, which feature smaller groups, dedicated hosts, and exclusive experiences at each winery.
We are sorry to hear that communication on the day wasn’t up to standard. Anthony is a new and enthusiastic member of our team, and we appreciate your patience as he continues to grow in his role. Our tours have been so popular that we have had to buy new buses and hire additional drivers to keep up with demand and we understand that it can take some drivers longer than others to learn the ropes, most of our drivers have been with us for over 10 years.

Our tour guide was Steve and he was the best!! He was very informative and takes care of the group well. A 5/5 star rating for this tour and everyone had a great time! Will recommend this to anyone who wants to go wine tour tasting. We are so glad we did this tour 😊 thank you team.

Such an amazing tour and day out. We decided to book pineapple tours for the wine tour day and what an excellent choice that was. Our tour guide Michelle was so knowledgeable about the places we visited, we had such an amazing time. It was the perfect day tour for our hens weekend, we’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time on this Tamborine Mountain Wine Tour. Michelle was a fantastic guide. We stopped at two wineries and a distillery. We had lunch at St. Bernard's Hotel, which had beautiful views and delicious food. We would recommend this tour.
