    Terrible ambience
(The cruise itself is ok because the views of Brisbane are beautiful). However If you like very loud, trash heavy metal songs from the 80ies, this is for you. If you don't, then pass. No joke, we were there last night as a family and this is the music we were subjected to. So so loud, so so bad. It was a relieve to hop off that boat.

    Worth Doing
What a great and different way to view the City. Staff were very friendly. One of our group couldn't make it, I emailed (allowing at least 24hr noticed) and they were very prompt in issuing a refund. Very Happy! When I booked the trip I thought we would be going to the Breakfast Creek Hotel but we ended up at the Powerhouse. So I was a little disappointed and there was no mention of the change via email/SMS/in person. The cruise was nice and gentle, with good commentary. Morning Tea was provided (scones with jam & cream) and there was plenty to go around. It was explained about how the boat would stop and where to disembark and where to go for the lunch. Unfortunately when we got to the restaurant, the lady who greeted us, didn't know anything about us coming for lunch. It took a good five to ten minutes for someone to come out (which was not great as it was a very hot day) and seat us, then take our order. We weren't happy about where they told us to seat, which was inside, so we asked to change and sat outside as it was a lovely day. The food was lovely and portion sizes were huge. There wasn't much to look at at the Powerhouse but there's lovely park area to walk around. Before you knew it, the boat was due back and after boarding, we returned back to the pontoon at the Cultural Center. It was a very pleasant trip and great for anyone visiting Brisbane. Well worth the money.

    Sunset River cruise
The cruise itself was very good. We had enough time to see and photograph many sights along the Brisbane River. Unfortunately, although the cruise began at 6pm, our booking was spoiled by a group of about a dozen passengers whose only reason for taking the cruise it seemed, was to have somewhere different to party. I assumed that was what the party cruises were for but perhaps they booked the wrong one? They seemed quite oblivious to their surroundings (and unfortunately their fellow travellers) I'm not sure if this cruise came with a commentary, if it did, it would have been impossible to hear. So basically the cruise was good but staff could have perhaps tried to control the few passengers for the benefit of the rest of us?

Lunch at the Breakfast Creek Hotel...Hmmmm??
The cruise itself was fantastic. The staff onboard were knowledgeable and entertaining. Facilities onboard the boat were great. The cruise was advertised to have lunch at the iconic Breakfast Creek Hotel. This was a draw card for us and we all looked forward to lunch. Unfortunately and unbeknown to us the cruise did not take us to there as advertised. We were taken to Mary Mae's Restaurant. As lovely as the setting was, the food and service was severely lacking. It felt more like a cafeteria type lunch rather than a destination of choice. Lunch was very disappointing. The Cruise itself was fabulous and we look forward to doing more cruises with this Company but please follow through with what is advertised or at the very least advise us of the change of lunch destination before boarding. PS - after the cruise we drove to the Breakfast Creek Hotel ourselves and enjoyed a drink or two at a fabulous old Pub.

    Words fail me ....
We certainly enjoyed the whole experience immensely, the travel, the commentary (would love to have had more information on some of the amazing houses along the way), the food (morning tea and lunch) and the friendly staff. I will certainly be recommending the experience to anyone I know who might be visiting Brisbane. We are not people for taking photos so unfortunately do not have any to share with you.

    Not as Advertised
The description of this tour mentions the Breakfast Creek Hotel multiple times, but it doesn't visit there. We weren't informed prior to the trip that this wouldn't be included, and even during the trip itself nobody mentioned it, presumably hoping we wouldn't notice! Instead, we were taken to an average bar at The Powerhouse and given a restricted menu choice. When we asked what had happened, we were told that construction work had meant the boat couldn't dock at the Hotel, and this had been the case for a couple of weeks! I've also enquired about a partial refund, but been told that one can't be given. Avoid.

Lunch is not at the Breakfast Creek Hotel
We booked the cruise with lunch and were really looking forward to lunch at the Breakfast Creek Hotel (we had only been once before) Our confirmation came through outlining the day's itinerary, which included the Breaky Creak for lunch. The web site currently boasts lunch at the Breaky Creek, so you can imagine how disappointed we were to be informed lunch will be at the Power House. It was nice enough but swapping steak and a beer off the wood for fish & chips or burgers we didn't think was a fair deal. The rest of the trip was good.

Standing and waiting for over 10 minutes in the hot sun - not good, addressed as Luvvy, also not good.
Good morning, we were instructed to be ready to board the cruise 15 minutes early, and so we were all waiting at 10.15. Most people in our group are in their 70's. We were all stuck standing and waiting for over 10 minutes as the gate was not opened until 10.25, I actually did ring and complain. So, if you require people to be there 15 minutes early, you then need to be ready for us to board at that time. By the time I got on board, my back was aching and I was annoyed, and then the young person greeting me persisted in calling me 'Luvvy' to which I responded. I am NOT your luvvy. The service once we were under way 10 minutes late, was good. But the waiting in the heat and standing was not. I'm hoping you take this feedback as constructive and rectify the problem.

    Sit back & relax
Highly recommend. Inner city Brisbane out to Newstead on the river and back is very interesting even for those of us who live/used to live in Brissy. Good commentary, friendly staff, comfortable boat with different seating locations and a stop for lunch. Morning tea was scones with jam & cream plus a hot drink. There was a bar on board for other drinks and snacks. Time to sit back & relax.

We'd booked the morning cruise on a day that turned out to be raining on and off the whole cruise.
It's worthwhile getting there early if the weather is inclement to make sure you get a seat inside, away from the weather.

The tour is interesting but we did have trouble hearing the commentary because the sound was a little muffled and there was a large group inside with us who seemed more interested in talking then listening to the information about the river.

Hi John thanks for providing your feedback. In the end the weather wasn't too bad and we didn't get wet which was good. I agree that it can be difficult to hear when there is a lot of talking and laughter around us but unfortunately we haven't found a solution for that. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the cruise.

I organized this cruise to spend some time, as an out of town visitor, with my adult children and their family. The cruise was great and was well priced at $29 per adult. None of my families had been on a Brisbane river cruise. The time of day (10:30) suited us all. My granddaughter (5 yo) had a great time. The captain complied with her request to “toot’ the horn. All the staff were bright, cheerful and helpful. I loved seeing the riverside houses and boats. The voice guided commentary was clear and informative. I would highly recommend this tour for families with young children and visitors to Brisbane.

A large group of us went on the 90 minute morning tea cruise and really enjoyed the experience. Even though we were all locals, we loved seeing Brisbane from the river and learning about our beautiful city from the very informative commentary. The staff were excellent, very friendly and we were served a delightful devonshire morning tea. I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone.

Four of us took the 12.30pm cruise from the jetty in-front of the Art Galley.
I wasn’t really expecting too much as I didn’t think there’d be so much to see and so much history to listen to.
The view from the river is so much better than any road or path in Brisbane as you get to see things hidden from view. The history of various buildings and landmarks was fascinating.
Worth the money, a must do.

Booked this tour for 30/10/21 and enjoyed a relaxed and informative cruise on the Brisbane River. Tasty scones and tea/coffee served for morning tea. Skipper a font of knowledge on the history of the river and buildings that abut the banks. Crew friendly and helpful. You certainly get a different perspective of the city when viewed from the river. The Twilight Cruise is a definite for us when next in Brisbane.

We were welcomed on board by a very friendly team with a coffee and cake. The cruise was pleasant with an informative commentary. There was plenty of time to take photos and the information from the commentary was interesting, informative and, at times, light hearted. Overall this was a very gentle and pleasant way to spend the morning and would certainly recommend as a way of seeing and learning about Brisbane and its history.
Keep up the good work

We did the Midday Cruise option. Easy to access the pontoon at the Cultural Centre.(We came into the city by bus and got off at the Cultural Centre bus stop) Felt very welcome from the moment we boarded. A rainy kind of day so just a nice amount of passengers. Enjoyed the entire experience - very calming - just good company and conversation as we travelled the Brisbane River at the right pace. Drink prices were reasonable as was the lunch time food options. Plenty of room and I feel it was the perfect amount of time to be aboard. One "iffy" moment was the ladies toilet - the door didn't lock which was a bit awkward but otherwise 10 out of 10 for the experience. We will definitely be back for the Sunset Cruise.

Very few items of interest along the tour of the river makes the tour overpriced and of little value. The vessel was crowded, no particular seat assignments and everyone wanted to sit upstairs in the open. Tea with scones were offered, but kids onboard went for multiple rounds of scones and they ran out. Commentary was often patchy and did not really flow along with the cruise. Better value is offered by taking one of the CityCats which also cover a larger portion of the river.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the patchy speaker system; we are working to rectify it and increase our database on knowledge of the river. Our service seeks to provide the best opportunity to everyone for access to our facilities, we don't have allocated seating for customers and can't take responsibility for passengers' behaviors, it is an honor system that works very well for us. We are sorry you did not feel this was the best experience, we will seek to improve.

This tour was a great and relaxed way to take in the sites of the city with a unique vantage point. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. A reasonably priced bar for drinks and snacks (with free coffee) was on the boat and the staff was helpful and friendly.
