      Too expensive for one descent!
This was our family's Christmas present. I bought an abseiling experience for my partner and our three children. While our instructor was lovely, due to the group being too big (10 people), we were only able to descent once which was very disappointing. It wasn't value for money. The groups should be halved or there should be two instructors per group. Two descents would have made the price paid fair, but not one.

Rock Climbing at the Kangaroo Point Cliffs was an awesome experience. Our instructor Harry was very experienced and encouraging, which helped me make it to the top. So much fun!

Fantastic experience with our instructors Alex and Med.
I went on the kayaking tour and our instructors Alec and Med were wonderful. I did the tour with two friends and we are mixed ability, the guys made sure we were well looked after. Alec even took some pictures for us while we were out on the water. Would definitely recommend a kayak tour with the guys!

      Kayak hire - great experience
We’ve been wanting to do this for years - it didn’t disappoint! Great way to see the Brisbane River from a different perspective. The kayaks were easy to access, comfortable to paddle and the staff were very helpful. CityCats and Kitty Cats were not as terrifying as expected.

not easy routes and 4-5 climbers in 1 line is not enough time to enjoy
it was good experience. but all of us are beginners it would have been better if the instructor gave us information about the wall climbing grades and put us to the easy routes. we were put on “grade 17” with normal shoes, no chalks, no way we will reach quarter of the height of the climb line. And to add, we were 4-5 climbers in 1 line, which means you only have less than 30 minutes of climbing when shared., i just thought $89 is not worth

Superb Adventure - highly recommend for any skill level
Highly recommend to everyone. Best experience, from the front desk customer service, to the instructor. Very helpful, informative and patient especially since a few in the group were doing it for the first time. But the instructor made it easy for us, and we went back to do a 2nd round. Everyone was confident by that time. Beautiful view of the city, which you don't see often.

A great activity for two active teenage kids & fun to watch on as an admiring parent!!
I took my son and nephew for an abseil a couple of weeks ago and also booked them the twilight climb which they did last night. George was our instructor on both occasions and the boys absolutely loved their trip down and up the cliff-face (both kids had quite a bit of experience with indoor climbing and the climb up the cliffs was perfect for them). We were super lucky to be in small groups on both occasions and the boys had plenty of turns up and down which they loved. George was very friendly, knowledgeable and very encouraging of the kids (aged 14) and we all had a wonderful experience. Thanks so much!! I've booked again to take my kids and all their cousins :)

      Living on the Cliff Edge
Aged in our sixties along with younger daughter in laws, our family group had an exceptional twilight abseil but can definitely say that without the encouragement and instruction from our tour guide I probably wouldn't have gone over the cliff. Totally recommend this for testing your self resolve. PS must make mention of the office window view.. terrific. Thank you Team Riverlife Adventure you ROCK. 😆

      Paddling on the Brisbane River
We received the twilight kayak tour as a gift and it was such a great experience. Even though we live in Brisbane, it was beautiful to be on the river at this time to see the city come to life. Our guides Gieran and Lucas were excellent. They were friendly and ensured everyone's safety at all times and also provided some interesting facts about the history of the river. In fact all the staff, from booking over the phone, through to the staff on the desk on the night were very pleasant to deal with. The Mexican food was delicious and the wine and beer went down a treat rounding off a very enjoyable evening. Keep up the good work.

This was sold as a kayak tour with a local guide, but instead it was an 11th birthday party with inadequate supervision.
No guiding and barely any paddling took place as most of the time was spent by the single child minder (not tour guide) getting kids in and out of the water. The one hour (instead of the promised 2 hours) we did spend on the water, we spent rescuing children from getting dragged under bushes and pontoon pylons by the current. The children were spread out over a few hundred metres, and there was no way the single supervisor could keep them all safe.
A kid's party cannot be done in combination with a guided tour by kayak for adults, and certainly not by only one guide/child minder/game host.

I brought my Mum and Partner with me. Our host was Josh and we did a kayak tour. My mum is not a confident swimmer nor is she the best at anything physical. Josh was extremely relaxed with his briefing and conduct which calmed her nerves, he was awesome to chat to, and, ultimately when my mum was having a hard time, he generously began towing against the tide. Thanks to Josh, we were able to end her short holiday to QLD on a very calm yet fun and positive activity

I booked a Kayak Tour with some friends but in the end, we decided on just hiring kayaks and doing our own thing. Bill and the team were friendly, helpful, and professional. We spent two hours paddling around the bend under the Story Bridge around to Dockside then back past Kangaroo Point cliffs to the Goodwill Bridge. All made much easier by a very cooperative tide and current. And given the lack of River Cats at the minute due to flood-damaged ferry terminals - this was a very stress-free way to spend a few hours on the Brisbane River.

As I'd paid for a tour but ended up just hiring, Bill just gave me a credit to use at a later date for more kayaking, or one of the other activities they offer. So all very easy.

The Twilight Kayak tour was a great experience & a perfect way to experience the river & the lights of Brisbane city. The single kayaks were in good condition and all fitted with back rests & safety lights making our kayaking experience very comfortable & easy to paddle. We had a large group but the extra guides made it easy to paddle at our own pace making the tour enjoyable not rushing the slower ones yet allowing the more experienced kayakers to enjoy the tour at their own pace as well. This is a must do experience in Brisbane

I had a great time on the Kayaking tour. It was taken by Jayo, he was excellent giving instructions before hand on how to get into the Kayak and how to paddle and steer.
I throughly enjoyed my time kayaking and seeing life on the river.

Our tour was on a Sunday, midday.
A party of 10 year olds, (many first time paddlers), were dropped off without adult accompanyment and expected to keep up with the adults with only one guide to assist.

The guide assured us she was used to that, but the task was beyond her as the group of kids quickly spread beyond 100 meters in a strong current.
I stayed behind out of the clash of inexperienced paddles and was left to rescue a distressed child tangled up in a tree. Not a safe situation for either of us. And other children had difficulty with other barriers.

Needless to say, we spent the majority of the 'tour' holding back, waiting for the children to be sorted. We spent barely an hour actually paddling, covering very little distance, and there was no 'tour'.

We hadn't expected to be attending a kid's party. Nice kids, but we signed up for a Kayak tour not summer camp.

I would suggest that children's activities should be separate events with at least two assistants.

I have not done Kayaking since age 14 at High School, the instructors J.O and Shawn was exceptional in instilling confidence and providing useful tips for kayaking. J.O was also really knowledgeable about the cities history and the flora/fauna of the Brisbane river. Would highly recommend this as a starting point if you want to have kayaking as a hobby or as a general date idea.

The place might be a bit hard to find first time, I suggest give the centre a call and they will provide detailed instructions on how to get there.

The tour was really good, but it is recommendable to go with someone as people stay in their own groups, and there is almost no interaction between the guides and attendees. The staff was friendly, specially Mark, who even thought he wasn’t the designated guide, he was very helpful when explaining my partner and I, how to get on and off the Kayak. However our designated guides, could have been very much more engaging and more inspired with the attendees. The whole experience could’ve used more information, more energy and more adventure to it - as the journey we took on the water felt more like kayak from point’a’ to point ‘b’ than a full tour. We seemed to wait forever to make our first stop to note something interesting before we realised it wasn’t going to happen - and it didn’t for the entire trip either. The only reason we give this experience 4* is because going with a partner was fun as we made the best of it, but the trip itself just felt more like renting a kayak.

Renee, our tour guide, led us down the river around the Story Bridge. We were impressed with the way she interacted with our children (17,15,13,and 11) and the way she safely guided us along the river navigating City Cats, pontoons etc. Thank you for a lovely morning.

This is a fun and simple City kayak for all levels. Alex, the guide, was very good and very patient as there were a number of people who had never kayaked before and needed a lot of support and help. You don't go that far in 1.5 hours, especially if the group is slow but it's a nice way to see the City and the Bridge.
I hired a bike from them afterwards and cycled across the river, through the Botanic Gardens, down to New Farm and then back over the Storey Bridge which I really enjoyed.
