      Noosa Day Out
Nice day out and about driving to the Sunshine coast and Noosa. Our day started at 7.45am at the Skytower Apartments - this tour does not offer accommodation pickup. Brian introduced himself to the group as our driver for the day. We spent time at the Mary Cairncross lookout, Montville Village for a coffee stop, Eumundi markets for 1 hour (just enough time to look around although some people would have liked more time), Noosa Heads for 1hr 30 mins and finally at the Ginger Factory and Nutworks. The day ended back at the Skytower apartments. Enjoyable day.

Excellent, well-organized tour of the Tamborine and Springbrook natural areas.
An excellent, well-organized tour of the Tamborine and Springbrook natural areas. Most of the tour is pleasant, leisurely driving through sceneric natural areas with a few stops for some easy hikes to waterfalls and other beautiful scenes. Bottled water is provided, and there are plenty of restroom opportunities along the way (be sure to bring hand sanitizer since most public bathrooms don't have soap or hot water). There is a 1.5 hour lunchtime allocation to self-explore the quaint tourist village of Mount Tamborine which offers plenty of coffee, cafes, fudge, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and arts/crafts. James is an excellent host, clearly experienced, with perfect knowledge of how to lead a pleasant and entertaining daytrip. He has an ideal personality and attitude that makes for a perfect tour guide! The only suggestion I have is to offer guests a wine tasting option as an alternative to the glow worm cave since the location offers both.

Steve Irwin of the rain forest
Guide was excellent. Passionate, knowledgeable, and went out his way to ensure he provided a great experience. Went off tour to show us animals in the wild including a koala, kangaroos, and wallaby. His enthusiasm for wildlife and stealth mode walking to find them reminded me of Steve Irwin. The National parks you go to are free to enter so you are paying for the guided experience and the transport. If you have a car, you can easily access the parks and hike the trails yourself but you will probably miss the wildlife as they are camouflaged well. The glow worm cave isn’t great. Hard to tell if the worms are real or just led lights. Seemed like a highly artificial environment. So the least favorite part of the day. The stops for shopping and eating are great. The guide was friendly and is local. He knows so much about the local history, about the botany, the animals, and the reptiles. Truly enjoyed his commentary throughout the trip.

      Great tour, highly recommended
Great tour, lots of shopping opportunities with local suppliers and a great cross-section of Australian products. Noosa was amazing with a surfing event ongoing. Driver was a great tour guide with lots of history about the region.

My first trip through a rain forest !
It was a fun trip, Tour Guide James, was very knowledgeable and gave us interesting details about the areas around Tamborine Mountain and Spring Brook. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone, though the hike through the Rain forest and Spring Brook is not handicap accessible .

      Noosa!
Bruce was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide! It was nice to experience the smaller inland towns of Queensland. Noosa was the highlight, an extremely beautiful beach town. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Covers the key highlights of the Sunshine Coast
If you don't have much time in Brisbane and the surrounding areas I think this tour is really good. Its smaller groups than some other tours and most other people are traveling in pairs or solo. The tour takes you to some key spots, my favorite being Noosa beach, allowing you to fit a lot into a single day. The guide/driver is very knowledgeable of all the places visited, providing interesting commentary along the way. I would have liked more time at Noosa and an extra 10mins at the ginger factory so there's time to eat an ice cream and have a quick look around. However, fitting so much into one day is tricky and only gives limited stopping times! Overall, I really enjoyed my trip and it meant I got to see a lot more of Queensland than I would have otherwise!

I went on the day tour to North Stradbroke with Queensland Day Tours. The guide, James, was one of the good things on the tour. He was fun and you could tell that he knows his stuff. He was good at spotting wildlife and pointing it out to us and we saw coalas, kangaroos, some birds and a ray.
It was definitely not his fault that I couldn't enjoy the trip that much.
My problem was the minivan (13 seater). I was sitting in the last row together with 3 other people and it was really, really cramped and nearly impossible to move comfortably. You could literally feel your neighbours body heat for the whole time and I didn't know where to put my bag or legs. I think the last row can only work comfortably for 4 if all the 4 people are thin and not that tall or children. That was not the case on our tour. Another couple sitting in the last row was unhappy about the situation as well. One person was swapped which made it slightly better but still not comfortable.
Apart from that I wonder why they call it a day tour when you leave the island as early as 14:30. Why do you spend only 4:45 hours on the island when there is so much to do? This was the most expensive day trip I booked in Australia and at the same time the shortest and most uncomfortable so I can't say that I feel it was worth it. And it was the only time that lunch was included but no drink with it. The lunch was pretty good though and in a nice spot.

I've heard from others who had done other tours with this operator that their bigger van/minibus is much more comfortable so I wish they'd taken that one.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to provide a Review on our tour to Stradbroke Island. We take all comments seriously and have discussed your tour with the guide. Given that you have rated us so poorly, it is obvious that you did not like much about the tour. However, you cover 2 main issues in your Review: 1. Bus Seating Yes - you were in a 14 seat standard mini-bus with 13 passenger seats, 4 seats across the back (2 x doubles). On your tour there were 5 guests travelling solo, 3 of which were seated in the single seats, with the remaining 2 put into a double seat. The tour was full so there were no spare seats. When the guide was made aware of your concerns regarding the seating arrangements, the passengers were shuffled around to make the tour more comfortable for yourself. Notwithstanding this, regardless of your position in the bus, all seats are the same standard size and majority of day tours departing Brisbane and Gold Coast use a similar sized mini-bus. Whilst we do have 21 seater buses, it's unreasonable to assume that the larger bus be used for a small tour group, particularly when it would be going on the vehicle ferry. We are sorry that the seating arrangements did not meet your comfort standards, however the guide did try to rectify this situation. 2. Not a Day Tour You state that the time on the Island was just under 5 hours. This is correct but you failed to mention that a big component of the tour was the cruise across Moreton Bay which is one of the highlights. All tours require transfers to get you to the destination and it is not a realistic expectation that you would ever be on the Island for a full day. The tour in fact was 8.5 hours long with a 40-minute transfer each way to the ferry terminal, and a 45-minute cruise across Moreton Bay. There were two other tour companies on day tours to the Island the day you travelled; both took the same ferries as us. It is not feasible to take a later ferry and the tour program promised was provided at a comfortable, relaxed pace. All tables had bottles of water with glasses. There was also a bar available should you have wished to purchase a drink. We are the only tour company that provides a sit down bistro lunch in a beautiful iconic setting. Another highlight of this tour. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We will however pass on your positive comments regarding the guide, James. Regards Jo-Anne

Great trip for International tourists, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. I would recommend going in the whale season because we saw many whales breeching and playing around.

Fantastic stress-free, day trip from Brisbane. Great itinerary which provided a great overview of some of the sights on Straddie, and struck a nice balance between guided time and personal time - especially enjoyed having time for a swim.

Great commitment to pointing out the local wildlife, and awesome commentary from the guide throughout the day, which really added to the experience.

Thanks for a great day out!

The tour was a great introduction to Minjerribah and has made us want to return to spend more time there. The weather was spectacular and the views from the North Gorge Walk cant be beaten. We saw wild koalas, kangaroos, osprey, goannas and dolphins. Lunch was high quality, and we followed it with a swim in the crystal clear surf at Cylinder Beach. Our tour guide Brian was friendly and approachable, with the perfect balance of useful guidance and information and knowing when to let our group have some time to themselves. Great day out, thank you!

Such an amazing day tour! Our tour guide Shane was the best, he made everyone feel very welcome and took the time to actually get to know everyone on the tour, he had a high knowledge of North Straddie and showed us some great little spots that weren't even on the tour. It was such a beautiful day and the water in the ocean was so clear and beautiful! Such a perfect temperature as well. We saw dolphins and turtles on our walk in the water and we saw koala's up in the trees for the first time ever, the swim and the ice cream afterwards was to die for!
If you want a tour to remember do this and fingers crossed you get Shane as well.
Biggest regret was not bringing my camera on the tour, so be sure to take yours with you because there are so many opportunities for amazing photo's 😊
We will be back for sure 👍

The travel to and from the island was fast, efficient and reasonably priced and then getting on the island was like being on a whole new country! The walks were beautiful with plenty of wildlife and gorgeous views to enjoy and there is plenty to do for such a small island. The sea looked lovely, I'd recommend to anyone as it is such a beautiful and lovely place to visit.

I had a great trip and saw some amazing things !. There was clear communication about my upcoming trip and I was collected on time and with no issues from the meeting point. The group was a nice size and our guide was lovely and friendly and was knowledgeable (and gave insightful commentary) and was able to find us koalas to smile and admire :). It was a great day spent exploring the beautiful island, I have not had chance yet to upload my photos but they are stunning !. It really is well worth visiting here , I saw kangaroos, Osprey, whales and the afore mentioned koalas !, and the scenery really is stunning. Everything was well thought out and ran smoothly. Our minibus was really comfortable as well as the ferry over - this had a good café on board and they gave quick and efficient service :) I am glad I booked with this company and had a really wonderful day - thank you :D

The three of us did this tour today and we had a great time. Our guide was able to spot wildlife (kangaroos, koala, pelicans, bush stone curlew) throughout the trip and we also spotted some dolphins, turtle, and humpback whales! Definitely recommend this tour. The minivan was comfortable and the lunch at the Stradbroke hotel was delicious. We learnt a lot about the local Quandamooka's culture from our tour guide. Highly recommend!
