Our 2.5 hour cruise allows time to really explore the wetlands without any rush. Discover the quieter sections of the billabong as we meander through the various interconnecting channels viewing crocodiles and beautiful birdlife. The wetlands “best locations” are constantly changing throughout the season. Having lunch on-board the vessel allows us the flexibility to select the most suitable location where you can enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by nature at its very best. Lunch consists of a selection of sliced meats, bread and a delicious salad with optional dressing. Iced water is provided. Even though this cruise is operating during the warmer part of the day, there is still usually plenty of opportunity to view wildlife

      Well worth a visit
Loved the sunset tour with Chris. Birds & crocodiles in their natural environment. Beautiful sunset. Good spotting & great explanations. Well worth a visit. Then dinner at the local tavern. A very different experience from the jumping crocodiles at Adelaide River.

      Amazing 5 Star Day Trip!
Evan, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly and amazing. He should be given a salary increase :). Kept up the commentary all the way. The boat had comfortable seats, lunch was big enough to feed two people. Just a beautiful place. Don't expect to see jumping crocs, you have to find them in their natural habitat. No easy feat at all but Evan managed to spot them! Thanks Evan for a wonderful experience.

Wetlands Tour - Top End Highlight
Highly recommend the Wetlands Cruise. Evan was an amazing guide-so knowledgeable and passionate and with a great sense of humour. We saw a myriad of bird species as well as Brolga, Jabiru and White Bellied Sea Eagle. The big Saltwater Crocs were next level. Lunch was great and Evan was very attentive to the needs of his guests. This cruise was the highlight of our week long stay in Darwin. Not to be missed.

      Tour of the Year
This had to be the best tour ever. Evan, hysterically funny, was the most knowledgeable, and interesting tour guide. From the moment we stepped onto the bus to drop off later he kept our small group totally enthralled by his commentary. Corroboree Billabong was the most beautiful place with an abundance of life; birds, fish, crocodiles. Evan even found one in the water approaching Fogg dam. A freshie and how he spotted it was incredible. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody, and if every guide was similar to Evan you will all have the best time.

      A Great Experience
My wife and I total enjoyed this tour. Evan our driver/guide/boat captain was excellent. We were getting off a cruise ship. Our disembarkation was delayed. Evan called us and waited for our arrival at our pick up point. We apologized for keeping the group back...we are never late. We were able to make up the lost time. The cruise was very interesting. There are many birds and crocs. I would highly recommend this tour.

Very Good day out to the Wetlands
This 1 day tour from Darwin is a great way to see the wonders of nature and fantastic wildlife without spending a long time travelling on a bus. The 2.5 hours on the water was not rushed and you had plenty of time to soak it all in. Our guide for the day "Evan" was full of all sorts of info being relevant, topical and a bit of fun along the way too. Tour well suited to families with older children and people with mobility issues.

      Great day out
A fantastic day out. Our tour guide, Evan, was very knowledgeable on the area. We didn't feel rushed during the tour and had plenty of time at all the spots for photos and relaxing. The cruise itself was great, and again, done at a leisurely pace. AAA+++

The Best Day in the Top End!
This truly exceeded our very highest expectations! Evan, our guide, had so much knowledge, and how he managed to show us all those birds at close proximity was truly amazing. We had so many birds within 3 metres, crocs lolling the water near the boat. Really a fantastic day and I recommend it very highly.

      Excellent guide, wonderful day
We were picked up from the CBD, which was super convenient for our Fathers Day adventure. Evan, our tour guide was great. He knew so much about the region, the history, the wildlife, and the people. At Fogg Dam we saw ants and spiders (which Evan identified), as well as crocs, pigs, buffalo, egrets, kites, hawks, and jabiru. Evan also identified some of the trees and vines in the monsoon forest. The Adelaide River cruise was terrific. So much to see. Great commentary. We even saw a salt water crocodile lunching on a darter (a bird). Water lilies along the banks. Brolgas, jacanas, ducks, whistling kites, darters, a white bellied sea eagle, and lots of jabiru. The lunch which was supplied was fresh and delicious. Plenty of cold water to drink. Evan explained the calendar used by the indigenous people of the region. Then a smooth drive back home. This tour was wonderful.

      Wetlands Cruise - Stunning Experience
This is a brilliant experience with Evan, a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who knows the area intimately and gave us many insights into the crocs, birds, flora, natural surroundings and Aboriginal awareness of the environment. You get VERY close to the crocs but they're not disturbed and viewed like circus animals, like the 'jumping crocodiles' tours. Amazingly, the jabirus and other water birds are unperturbed by the boats and don't fly away, allowing time to observe and photograph. The cold meats and salads lunch on board while on the water was fresh and generous. We drove the 1.5 hours or so to and from Darwin rather than go on the bus. At $110 each, it's great value for 2.5 hours of unique experience. (Costs more to go the bus obviously). Highly recommended - you can't see this part of the country by yourself.

I have been on Wetlands Day Cruise twice with friends, since moving to the Territory and this time I took two friends on the lunch cruise on our way to our Litchfield break.

Every time I have had the tour guide EVAN, and he is perfect for the role he does. Friendly, knowledgeable, people focused, clearly engaged with his topic areas (Darwin, wildlife, birds etc). He is a typical authentic Australian guy: dad jokes and all.

Every visitor has really loved the cruise. Full of crocs (in their natural state) and endless birds. Really beautiful to take it all in.

It is money well spent, to take in the beauty, relax over an informal lunch, get some great pic's but also to gain a lot of local insights from an informed and motivated guide.

Our tour guide Evan spoke with so much passion about the billabong and knew every bird, animal and plant. He explained their place in the billabong and nature itself. Evan went to great lengths to ensure our experience was one we will remember always. The lunch provided was not what we expected. It was a huge container of salad, egg and a selection of cold deli meats with bread, butter and salad dressing on the side. The seats were comfortable and the boat had a canopy roof so we weren’t in the sun the whole time. Being on water it was cooler than expected. Met lovely people including Jo and Tony. I really hope they review as Tony is quite the photographer and Jo was lovely. It made the cruise that much nicer. We drove ourselves but caught the shuttle from the pub. It was a wonderful experience and I won’t forget it.

We went on the 2.5 hour lunchtime cruise and had a beautiful, peaceful afternoon at Corroboree Billabong with Wetland Cruises! Our guide Allen was very informative about the birdlife, crocodile behaviour and all the plant life around the billabong. Saw Saltwater and Freshwater crocodiles right up close (without disturbing them) - including 'The Boss' - a huge saltie and king of the billabong. We saw nests of both Jabiru storks and White Bellied Sea Eagles, some wonderful Jacana chicks and a Nankeen night heron.
The picnic lunch was very nice and there was plenty of ice-cold water provided. Boat was comfortable, and no matter where you sat, there was plenty of opportunity to get good photos of all the sights.
Could not recommend this tour more, and I believe that the sunset and sunrise tours are spectacular also.

We had a fabulous time immersed in the truly unique ecosystem of the Mary River Wetlands. Evan was the perfect host providing a smooth, hassle-free, knowledgeable and authentic opportunity to see crocodiles, both saltwater and freshwater, safely.
We saw the BIG 5: crocodiles, Brolgas, Jabirus, White-Bellied Sea Eagles and Whistling Kites. This is an experience not to be missed!

We were picked up by a small bus at The Corroboree Park Tavern and driven to the nearby billabong. The covered boat was comfortable and we were served a more than adequate box lunch. The female guide was very good and explained everthiing about the birds and crocodiles in the billabong. We only spotted a few crocodiles but there were lots of birds.

A fantastic tour in which we got to see the Big 5 with Evan who was a tremendous guide. His knowledge of all aspects and the dad jokes in the commentary was great. His eyesight to spot crocs and points of interest including tiny little birds was exceptional. Lunch was also lovely and very generous serves. Never felt rushed a good pace. Recommend this very highly.

Great trip. Evan the guide was a non-stop motor mouth encyclopaedia of knowledge of the area, especially fkaura, fauna and history. Not only of the area, but adarwin in general. Very easy going, easy paced, comfortable, well catered, and friendly vibe. Evan was sensitive and professional, particularly catering to a wide demographic and views on life as it really is up here. I.e. jumping cross, indigenous and cultural life. A d tbe the crocs in the wild, he got the boats perfect for great pics. Thoroughly recommend.
