- TravelinShane0 contributionsCrocs, crocs, and more crocsFantastic day out on the water. Damo, our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Crocs were jumping and we saw about 6-7 feed. Really fun thing to do. Spectacular also was able to reschedule our initial online booking without problem (due to a conflict). Highly recommend.Written 30 January 2025

- splishsplash0 contributionsWell worth it!Awesome short 1 hour cruise - plenty of croc action and even though the cruise was busy - they made sure both sides of the boat got to experience each croc. Sit at the front (last ones on) for the closest croc feeding experience.Written 3 November 2024
- 564lesc0 contributionsAn amazing experience.Damo was an amazing guide/presenter. He was funny entertaining and informative. The crocs were a little scarce by late October as the weather had turned pretty hot and like us, they don't like the heat. We did manage to see a couple in action.Written 26 October 2024
- gordong550 contributionsCLOSE ENCOUNTERSAn impressive, short cruise on the Adelaide River. Crocodiles were abundant, came close enough (quite safe) and performed pretty well as our knowledgable guide described. The added experience of watching two crocodiles having a fight on the river bank made us realise that each trip can offer a different experience. If you are concerned about safety don't worry, just keep you arms and cameras inside the boat and don't try to scratch the scaly backed reptiles when they swim alongside!Written 20 October 2024
- X8972TFkirstym0 contributionsGreat cruise, well priced and organisedFantastic cruise. The tour guides were really interactive and knew their stuff! The boat wasn’t over packed either, which made it more personable. Higher recommendWritten 7 October 2024
- karenmX113CF0 contributionsGreat tour- highly recommendedGreat tour. Amazing to see the crocodiles up close. Tour guide was super experienced and knowledgeable. Welfare of animals and safety of visitors clearly prioritised. I liked that the business is owned by a local Aboriginal organisation and profits are returned to the community in meaningful ways.Written 28 September 2024

We were left a little disappointed. There were engine problems along the way so we lost 10-15 minutes in fixing, and we didn't get given the time back.
It is advertised as a jumping cruise, but the guides only tried to get one crocodile to jump.
We did see a lot of crocodiles, and the driver was very informative, but we didn't get what we paid for.

Hi Louise
Are you able to please contact me at marketing@jumpingcrocodile.com.au to let me know the date and time of your cruise so I can personally follow up on this with staff to confirm. We currently have no record of any breakdowns on our vessels after the 20th, and no record of any cruise where only one crocodile was fed.
Cheers, Alexandra

Highly recommend the Spectacular Jumping Croc Tour, Rick (vessel operator) and the other guy (red bearded fella, sorry forgot name!) were as Red Beard said "croc nerds". These guys are passionate about sharing their knowledge of these fearsome beasts. Being a croc nut since I was a kid, to see them in their natural habitat right next to the boat was a next level experience. I was snapping(!) so many photos, but eventually stopped so I could simply absorb the sheer size of 'Casanova' - a male estimated at 5.4 metres. It was the width of the head that amazed me, these are huge animals, and deserve our respect.
Hot tip - doesn't matter which side of the boat you sit, but about halfway down is the best position, and put your camera on burst, and portrait orientation for the best shots.

Very poor experience . I’ve done the original jumping crocodile tour further up the river and it was 100x times better. This tour we saw 3 crocodiles , the bot was small and you weren’t allowed to stand up. No he guides were boring and lacking conversational skills. The crocodiles didn’t even jump out or the water. I would not recommend this tour to anyone, the only reason we done it was my friend was here from Argentina and the Original crocodile tours were closed. Do not waste your money here

Sorry to hear you were not impressed. We don't allow people to stand on our boats for pretty obvious safety reasons. A bad experience is still better than falling over the side to waiting saltwater crocodiles.
You were actually remembered by our staff. Our senior skipper on the day, unfortunately was dealing with a bad case of food poisoning, and rather than go home attempted to work on. Please contact our sales office, and we would be more than happy to arrange for to experience the cruise when the staff are not feeling quiet so unwell.

What an incredible experience seeing these most amazing creatures in the wild. The magic of their power jumping for meat. And the cruise leaders were amazing and very knowledgeable. I am very bad with names and can only remember Leah’s name. But both of the ladies were fantastic. Their knowledge of crocodiles and the cricodioes in their territory was fantastic and their stories were interesting. Would love to go again! I highly recommend going with spectacular jumping crocodiles, and they are open year round, unlike many if the other cruises.

We went on this tour, organized by AAT King Tours. It was great. Plenty of seating on the boat with good visibility for everyone. Beautiful cruise on the Adelaide River with quite a few crocs to see. The crew were great, with clear commentary and the crew member handling the croc jumping was very good. On the way back, we had a bonus, with feeding the Whistling Kites. As a bird of prey lover, I loved this.

My friend and I decided to do this as the final stop of our road trip from Perth to Darwin. It was a brilliant cruise to finish on. We saw loads of crocs, the team interacted with them just enough and knew exactly who was who. The skipper was extremely knowledgable and Jess in particular really made the cruise for us. She absolutely LOVES her job and the crocs, it really shows. Definitely worth the money, 100% recommend!

Due to the fact it was a very rainy day there was only a few people on the boat, but as promised on the website they took us out on the water anyway.
Luckily it stopped raining after 10 minutes, and we got to see several crocks. Not every one of them jumped, but the staff gave us nice inside info on every animal.
We got to see Casanova jump, which, according to them, is the largest species in their part of the river.
Not as spectacular as the pix on the site, but pretty impressive anyway. Loved every minute.

This was an excellent experience of Top End wildlife. Our hosts Caitlin and Deanna were professional, knowledgeable and entertaining and obviously have both a great affection for and affinity with the creatures they were proud to show us on this cruise. We saw perhaps a dozen saltwater crocs, many of those close up as well as birds of prey. Thoroughly enjoyed by both adults and child.

This was a fantastic tour that suits every age bracket
The tour goes for an hour in a boat that has a canopy cover so you are mostly in the shade.
Dan was the tour boat driver and was able to provide a good insight into the crocodiles and how they live.
You get to see the crocodiles that live in a 5 km radius from the dock which enables the tour guides to look after the habitat and to also keep an eye on the crocodiles that live in this patch. This also ensures that they do not over feed or jump the same crocodiles and ensures that they are healthy and looked after.
Thanks for a great experience.

Fun times with Jonah and Dan on cruise along the Adelaide river. Saw Crocs leaping in the air to grab bits of meat dangled off the boat. Also saw lots of other wildlife.
