A very special holiday to remember
My family (4 adults) enjoyed an 8 day private tour with Rob in early September. Rob's focus upon the total customer experience, coupled with his knowledge and passion for the NT made this a truly exceptional holiday for all of us. The catering and tours were first class, made even better by Rob's ability to explain the many facets of the region. If you are looking for a holiday that truly captures the essence of this wonderful area of Australia, then Ethical Adventures is the team to travel with. We will definitely be back and use Rob and his team to explore more of this unique region.

        Ethical in every way
What a fantastic experience we had on our 2 day Colors of Kakadu trip. From the moment Adam introduced himself as our guide for the next 2 days, we felt so relaxed and confident we were going to have a great time. It was an early start, but that was soon forgotten when we reached Fogg Dam to hear and see nature awakening for another day. All this whilst we ate fresh ham & cheese croissants, yoghurt, fruit, juice tea and coffee. On we travelled in the comfort of our air conditioned small van to our next stop - Cahills Crossing - for a cruise on the Alligator River. Could not get over how many crocodiles we saw . Once completed, we ate a fresh lunch of chicken and salad, (another wonderful creation by Tracey). From there we continued on to our accommodation for the night, which given our location, was more than expected. But then it is no surprise really, given the care and attention to every detail of the trip that the team at Ethical go to . I could go on about every part of our trip in more detail, but I'll probably lose those I haven't already lost .Basically, if you are looking to go on a trip

        Outstanding tour
I recently returned from a trip to the NT that included the two day tour of Kakadu with ethical adventures. Rob is an amazing guide dedicated to making sure you feel safe and looked after. His information and conversations were wonderful. Snacks and lunches were delicious. All the locations visited were spectacular. Highly recommend.

Book your tours only through ethical adventures
From my initial contact with Rob and Tracey I knew these tours were going to be special. Their passion and customer service in that short time instantly earned my trust and I was referring people to them even before I took my tours. I have travelled so far to 22 countries and taken countless tours in my time and I have to say the Colours of Kakadu tour has to be one of the best tours I have ever taken. Not just for the incredible experiences but for Rob. Almost instantly we were not just with a guide but a friend. His passion, knowledge, wit, care, and attention to detail made this experience enriching and a complete comfort and joy. The accommodation at Anbinik Kakadu Resort is so special, comfortable, stylish and the outdoor shower under the stars a true experience. Rob and Tracey have gone out of their way to design itineraries that makes sure you are in places at the right time of day to ensure the best experience and most abundant wildlife. In addition you are not turning up to places with loads of tourist buses but instead watching spectacular sunsets with almost no one else and eating lunch alone by a billabong. Tracey provides the most Incredibly delicious fresh food, you can truly taste the love she puts in as well as choosing the right type of food for the climate, you really don't want to eat a heavy big meal at lunch in that heat. They have just the right people, who hold their passion and ethical values to represent them and on my Litchfield tour I was lucky enough to have Katie. Her diverse knowledge not just of indigenous culture and bush tucker but also that of Darwins diverse history taught this Aussie so much. As well as keeping true to avoiding tourists, alone time at a hidden secret of Litchfield for lunch and avoiding the masses at Florence falls after getting that photo to find a truely serene special waterhole of which it's energy will stay with me forever. If you are someone who is happy to tick boxes, take that photo with dozens of other tourists choose another company. If you are like me and want to connect and truely experience the beauty, preciousness and richness of this spiritual land and its people, coming away with a greater respect, understanding and invaluable memories Ethical Adventures is your only option for all your tours in the top end.

        Colours of Kakadu 2days
We had the privilege of spending 2 days learning about, and discovering the beauty and history of Kakadu. Nalani, our driver and guide, shared her knowledge & love of Kakadu. Our cruise along East Alligator River was very informative. The Sunrise Cruise on the Yellow Waters produced the delights of seeing 2 barking owls, water buffaloes, and many varieties of bird life. A very enthusiastic guide. The highlight was seeing 4 crocodiles!! We were shown rock art as well. So much to learn and see and enjoy!! The care, meals, overnight accommodation and our guide are highly recommended. 2 full days we highly recommend! It’s a long way from Darwin to Kakadu!

        Amazing day in Litchfield Park
We have just been on a tour of litchfield national park with Rob and can honestly say it’s one of the best tours we have been on, he is so informative about what is and what has happened in the park. His tour is well thought out from coffee to lunch which Tracey makes ,even down to offering you a cold flannel to cool you down. If you are thinking of doing this tour we would recommend it any day.

        Best in the Wet
Our very small group had an amazing multi day tour of Litchfield and a Kakadu with ethical adventures. No crowds or queues for us as Rob used his extensive local knowledge to navigate around the most popular spots and timed our experiences so we had every location almost to ourselves. We covered a lot of kilometres but frequent stops for sights and nourishment and Robs commentary educated and entertained us all the way. Kakadu is huge. The accommodation, food and vehicle were all excellent. Visiting these areas in the wet season is very special. It’s still a bit hot but the walks are paced to cope with the weather. The afternoon storms were brief and spectacular. We safely swam in Litchfield, saw ancient rock art and were lucky to have 2 boat cruises in Kakadu. So much water. Both were highlights for different reasons. Yellow water billabong for the bird life and crocs. The cruise of Magela Creek for the indigenous perspective of land through the flooded paperbark forest. This was my 4th ethical adventures experience and all have exceeded my expectations.

Great trip, superb guide, great fun in the NT
We undertook a 3 day tour of Lichfield and Kakadu with Rob as our guide from Ethical Adventures who is an excellent advocate for the NT with his knowledge of the natural environment and the indigenous culture and connection to the land. Rob has a great sense of humour and an openness that is both refreshing and a reason that I would highly recommend the company. Food everywhere we went and customer service was first class. Thanks Rob for a great trip

        An 11/10 experience
We had a great trip to Litchfield national park with Clancy as our guide. She is very well organised, on time, informative and lots of fun. We visited numerous locations in the park plus Berry Springs providing plenty of opportunities for swimming and exploring these areas. The food provided was excellent and the mango muffins were a treat. This tour was so much more relaxed and personal than the large group tours. We would highly recommend this well run small business.

        Small group & fun
Clancy, our laid-back, amusing, flexible, but well-organised guide took us (and only 8 others) on a day trip from Darwin to the Litchfield National Park and we had a great day - swimming at three different destinations, a really superb morning tea and lunch and iced water and cold towels to cover the heat (33 degrees C). Smart commentary. Small group. Ethical Adventures handled the booking very well. Highly recommended when next in Darwin

        Caters for your needs
3 Day Cowboy Country Katherine Tour Rob is the owner of this tour company and was our tour guide from 1/8/22 to 3/8/22 to Katherine and Mataranka. Max 9 people in his mini bus. But we only had 4 people on our tour so that was extra personal attention to his customers. Rob has a wicked sense of humor, both to keep us amused on long hours of travel on the road; but also to keep us on our toes. He has a passion for environmental concerns which shows when he shows you around and talks. He is listening to your personal needs - we had 1 lady who could not do long walks and hikes so she spent more time with him and was catered for very well while the rest of us went on our walks and swimming at the hot springs. A very personalised tour so it suits people with mobility issues. Able to cater to dietary needs.

Licthfield Wanderer - perfect small group day tour
The perfect balance of information, relaxation and experience. Respectful of local indigenous knowledge and stories too. By starting early we had peaceful Berry Springs almost to ourselves. Also heaps of time for swimming and walking at Wangi Falls. Tastiest lunch ever, joined by a crow at an almost secret wetland, surrounded by water lilies and dragonflies. Magnetic termites a highlight, as were the bower and baby emus on the way out of the park.

        Great Day Tour to Litchfield
I did the day trip to Litchfield with Clancy 2 days ago. It was a great day. We stopped at Berry Springs so folks could swim if they wanted. Had a very tasty snack there. Wangi Falls was next - another gorgeous swim spot. The salad for lunch was the healthiest lunch I’ve ever had on a day tour. The termite mounds were pretty amazing, too. Clancy had great information to share and was a fun guide to spend the day with. Would highly recommend this tour.

This is not your average tour. Nor is this your average tour guide. Rob is engaging, and friendly with exstensive knowledge of all things in the region, flora, fauna, landscapes and everything inbetween. I've come away from this experience with plenty of new appreciation for the enviroment and region. Rob is passionate about what he does. This resonates in all aspects of the experience. The national parks were beautiful, the swimming holes even more so, not to mention the superb homemade morning tea, refreshing snacks and colourful, filling salad he puts together. The real magic of this tour is the man behind it all, who loves doing what he does. Highly reccommend booking with Rob if you're ever in Darwin, its a true experience

Rob was wonderful in sharing all his enthusiasm, experience and time in telling us about the wildlife and Ecco system at Litchfield.
It was a small group and we saw the best of everything.
Great BBQ lunch at fabulous Wangi Falls which was in full flow in the wet season . Ice blocks and ice towels provided to cool down plus swimming in croc free rock pools.
Highly recommend this tour. You will love it. Rob looks after the youngies and oldies on this trip.

If I could, I’d add an extra star to this tour. It lived up to my expectations totally. Rob curates the experiences perfectly based on the day and the people on the bus. He kept up the conversation as we drove out of Darwin providing interesting information. He helped the 8 of us (3 couples, 2 solo) to get to know each other. He has such amazing knowledge of the area - flora, fauna, history, what can be done and when the best time is to do it to avoid the crowds. I would imagine you could do the same Ethical Adventures Tour several times and have a different positive experience each time. Would have loved a few more swims but knew before I booked that April is still a bit off season. Not all swimming areas had been checked by park rangers.

Our guide for the day, Nelani, was fantastic - so knowledgeable and passionate about the area and its flora and fauna. We got to see all the main scenic spots (Wangi, Florence, Tolmer etc), and went to a stunning, quiet and croc safe spot for some swimming and the most delicious lunch. The care the team took to ensure dietary requirements (and even dietary preferences for kids) were met was phenomenal. Also loved the flexibility of the tour which meant people could decide if they wanted to do optional walks (which we did). Would definitely recommend !

If you’re wanting a premium day tour of the Litchfield area, this is the tour to go on. The small group size means that it’s personal and personalised in a way that’s not possible for larger tour groups, and the guide has a number of tricks up their sleeve to get to the best areas while avoiding crowds. Speaking of the guide, our guide Rob was friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, articulate and helpful. This is eco-touring at its very best — highly recommended!

Very good one day tour out of Darwin. Clancy was obviously thoroughly experienced in both guiding and the area, getting us to spot before the major tour companies arrived. We had the first swimming hole virtually completely to ourselves which was an awesome experience. The other swimming locations were very good as well. It pays to come prepared to swim to enjoy the day to the fullest. Her knowledge of the area was astounding - this is the first time I have ever been invited to lick an ants bum! And, surprisingly, it was worth it! Won't tell you more, you need to try it for yourself.
Very well organised booking service, ultra friendly staff and well run tour.
I would certainly choose other tours by Ethical Adventures in future.

Local..lived in Darwin over 20 years
Unable to go interstate for planned holidays
Decided to support local and play tourist for the day.
      First tick...small passenger numbers.
      Day started off on time..
Things only got better. Early morning swim at Berry Springs. Been there multiple times but never early morning and never have I popped on goggles and looked at the fish life ! Amazing
The day was spent with Rob's amusing but accurate local insight commentary along with historical and environmental knowledge.
Home made food and snacks delicious. (Warm mango muffins omg).
Our tour of Batchelor and the museum was totally enjoyable.
Litchfield Park.. despite been over run with visitors Rob maintained a good mixture with Florence falls walk and swim but then followed up with Tabletop swamp which was time out peace and quiet watching bird life and soaking in the atmosphere. Somewhere we would never have thought of going.
Loved the flexibility of the tour . Swims / walks were all optional but are there to be experienced.
Trip back to Darwin a different route so we didn't double up on Stuart Highway trip.
Loved the fact we went and experienced so much yet were not caught up with the normal touristy stuff.
A highlight of my holiday so far..

What an awesome way to start the tour. Swimming at Berry Springs. Seeing wildlife and plenty of fish. Our guide Daz made the experience even better with his knowledge of Litchfield and his regular dad jokes. He also went above and beyond for our anniversary by singing an Elvis song.
Due to the smaller number of guests, it allowed more time and less rush to return to the bus. The stops were perfect by making sure we went to less crowded areas. I could rave on about the whole day but I think it’s something I recommend highly to do yourself.
Thanks for a great day of memories👍🏼

Fabulous trip! Highly recommended. Many thanks to Clancy and the team, for a fun, relaxing and interesting day tour. I felt as though I had enjoyed a week's holiday, after just this one day. The trip was organised but also flexible, with comfortable travel, thoughtful touches and delicious, healthy food along the way. Litchfield is spectacular and special country, and this trip honoured the land and people who have lived and explored here over the years. Clancy's conversation and guidance with activities was much appreciated. Friendly and fun fellow travellers. I'd do this again today if I could!

I had a great day with Rob and Simon, on my August tour to Litchfield with 6 others. Berry Springs was a lovely swimming spot, and it was good to learn the history of Batchelor (pioneers, WW2 and Rum Jungle uranium mine) before heading to Litchfield. The quiet time at the Tabletop Swamp was unusual but I really enjoyed it... a chance to connect with nature, especially the birds. Swimming at Wangi Falls was a highlight. And the home made food from Tracey was fantastic. Yum :) Can thoroughly recommend.
