      Incredible experience
We initially had a 9am flight booked but when we arrived we were told that the cloud was low and would we be able to come back later so we could have a better experience. We were flexible and were able to return. We received a call at lunch time calling us back and wow, it was so worth the wait. Cian was very informative and professional and we were lucky that we were the only passengers so it was like having our own private plane. Incredible views of the waterfalls. Thank you for your concern about us having a great experience and giving us the option to take the flight later. it made our trip. Highly recommended.

Great way to see Kakadu in the wet season
Lovely little 8 seater aircraft with pilot commentary throughout. Lucky with the weather seeing Kakadu in the wet season. Clever pilot got us good views of the waterfalls despite cloud cover. Also very interesting about the area, the ancient ancestral sights and even the filming of Crocodile Dundee in the area.

      Awesome Kakadu Experience.
If you are visiting the Northern Territory in the wet season a scenic flight over Kakadu is one of the things you should consider. The views were remarkable and the commentary from the pilot kept us informed of the ever changing landscape and how it was formed, but also the beliefs of the aboriginal people and their interaction with the land from times past to present. This was well worth doing.

      Kakadu flight and river trip
This was terrific; made so by the staff, fracilities and location. In particular Declan the pilot, driver and tour commemtary provider made the flight as comfortable as possible (in stormy conditions -flying round them!) and informative dialogue. Similarly Adam, our boatman was equally knowlegeable about the wetlands and its inhabitants. He afforded us extra time and added detail once he realised our birding interests. We had a great time.

      Kakadu Air - highly recommended
Really good way to appreciate just how big Kakadu is and see parts of the park that cant be accessed from land. The pilots commentary was very informative. A good way to start a holiday in Kakadu

      Grateful
Mum and I were so grateful for the time Declan gave us on this wonderful experience. The scenic flight was just incredible and the explanations of the land and the views from Declan was very insightful. The yellow river cruise was fantastic with Dennis as the tour guide who had us in stitches for the trip. Would love to return and see the scenery in the wet season. Lunch was delicious and the trip home was quicker which was good considering we were exhausted from our big day in the heat. We cannot find a fault and we would recommend this trip to all for those short on time and wanting to skip the drive.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 1 hour scenic flight, everything very professional from checkin through to flight time. I thought 1 hour might be too long but the time just flew spectacular view of a section of kakadu

      Kakadu National Park From Above
What a way to see Kakadu National Park! I’ve never been a huge fan of flying (although getting better with age)…but so very glad I booked the tour. Our pilot, Owen, was amazing, professional and knowledgeable! Hands down, the best way to see the vastly differing landscapes of this ancient natural wonder.

A cultural day in Kakadu highlight experience, Kakadu Air delivered!
Fabulous day doing the Cultural Day Experience with our pilot Ivan who was the best pilot ever, smooth as landings! And great commentary, learnt heaps about what we were seeing which was spectacular. Our guide for the day was the fun Daz who imparted plenty of local knowledge during the day including the Ubirr Rock Art, helping us climb the escarpment, the best view! and taking great photos for us. Daz made sure we were able to see the many crocs at Cahill Crossing at just the right tide time, a fabulous guide and a day to remember, thank you. The day also included a simple but nice and fresh picnic lunch, plenty of snacks and chilled water as well as an enjoyable indigenous guided cultural boat trip up the East Alligator River, seeing more crocs, birdlife and an optional brief walk in Arnhem Land. All too soon we were back on the plane with Ivan and Daz back to Darwin having had a truly memorable day in Kakadu. Kakadu Air were excellent to deal with from start to finish, lots of communication and very professional, highly recommended.

Best way to experience Kakadu - don't hesitate to book!
We joined a small group for the cultural tour of Kakadu. Our pilot Declan was great and provided expert commentary during our flight. We landed in Jabiru and our guide Daz was professional, knowledgable and took great care to make sure we had a wonderful experience of Kakadu, the crocs and the Aboriginal culture. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to the Northern Territory and would highly recommend to others. Don't hesitate to book this experience!

      Kakadu by air
It has been a long time since I had my last scenic flight with Kakadu Air.. I did the 1 hour scenic flight at sunset which was just amazing. The pilot was very informative and flew very save. The view over the Arnhemland Escarpent, the river systems and the flood plains was out of this world and showcase the landscape diversity of Kakadu National Park at its best. Thank you

      Exceptional
Kakadu Air and in particular the pilot, Myles, were great. The tour was very informative and the landings were as smooth as silk, even on the dirt srip at Cooinda. We had a very nice lunch at the Barra Bar, Cooinda Lodge and a relaxing cruise on Yellow Water, with incedible bird life and more crocs than you could poke a stick at. All in all a very memorable day. Thankyou Kakadu Air Senic Flights.

Thank you so much from all of us for an absolutely fantastic day. From take off to landing back in Darwin, everything ran like clock work. The staff were friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable and passionate about Kakadu and Arnhem Land. Special thanks to our wonderful pilot, Daryl; and to Peter who piloted the other plane. I can’t imagine seeing this incredible part of Australia in any other way - seeing it from the air was incredibly humbling.

The Yellow River cruise was brilliant and we saw so much wildlife! Our guide (sorry, can’t remember his name) was very experienced and knowledgeable and took the time to take us up close to see crocodiles basking on the river bank, and point out the myriad of bird life and water buffalos which most of us would probably have missed if not for his skilled eye. Explaining the Aboriginal way of life and living on country in this part of Australia was very helpful. And lunch was delicious too!

I can’t say enough positive things about this tour. Probably the best I’ve done and I’ve travelled extensively around the world. Well worth every cent - we are so glad we did it and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Top End!

Thank you again, we will remember this day well with many happy memories!

Regards, Donna, Chris, Linda & Jenny from Toowoomba QLD Australia

Glad to hear our pilots were spectacular, we all hope the best for your future travels wherever they may be. If you're ever in the Top End again, feel free to give us a ring. Kind Regards, Siana

This was a brilliant day trip, thanks entirely to Daryl our pilot/tour guide/ bus driver/ lunch waiter and provider of chilled bottles of water at all times.

There were seven of us passengers on our Easter Saturday day tour, along with Daryl in a twin engine Cessna. A smooth take off from the Darwin airport runway (tarmac) and headed east above the Adelaide and West/South and East Alligator river system. Daryl kept up the commentary whilst flying us over the immense stone country region of Kakadu National Park, flying low over waterfalls to give photographers a chance on both sides of the plane.

Landing at Cooinda air strip (non-tarmac) was a real experience for those of us who haven't landed at anything other than major airports before. Smooth touchdown, then into the mini bus and over to the Yellow River cruise. We were lucky to see two salt water crocodiles, up close, one eating lunch!

The rest of the trip and flight home to Darwin was excellent. The only way to see this part of the Kakadu National Park is from the air, and from a light plane, not a commercial jet.

Tips for first time travellers: bring a hat, preferably broad brimmed, sunglasses, water bottle, camera, sunscreen, lip balm and wear comfortable enclosed shoes such as sneakers with socks. I took a motion sickness tablet with water before we took off and did not regret that decision. The scenery below the plane is so majestic that I didn't actively focus the camera lens, just took photos as is, and still ended up with stunning photos.

This is a bucket list activity and absolutely recommend it for all ages. We did this trip in the Wet Season and will return to do it again in the Dry Season.

An absolute highlight of our NT trip. We were welcomed by the very friendly Dave who was our pilot, tour guide and driver for the day. This young man is an absolute asset to the company and made sure we had an incredible experience while maintaining a professionalism that ensured we always felt perfectly safe and comfortable.
Our flight was a brilliant way to take in some of what Kakadu has to offer within our limited time and has well and truly whet our appetite to see more of this beautiful land.
The yellow water cruise was a great way to kick back and take in the beauty of the wetlands and our boat pilot, Greg was very informative.
All in all, we can’t recommend this tour highly enough.

Wow, this is a must-do experience if you're in Darwin and want to visit the spectacular Kakadu National Park in style. Our pilot David (he also doubles as the van driver, deckhand and tour guide) was very professional and engaging. His comedy routine however could do with a bit of work. ;) Sorry Dave!
The views of the park and the falls from 1500 feet are just amazing. David and the East River staff are extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the park and its wildlife.
We're already planning a return trip in the dry season and will be doing this trip with Kakadu Air again.
    Highly recommended.

We had the best tour ever. From the moment we arrived at Kakadu Air Services we were greeted by the pilot Daryl and he made us feel like family. He explained everything and then we set off. His knowledge of the area, the history and the Dreamtime stories were so great to listen to. The views were spectacular, is was actually breathtaking. Daryl couldn’t have been any better, we had 6 people on our tour, and for us, the flight was the best, we very much enjoyed the river cruise too but for us the flight stole the show. The staff were all lovely, if you are wondering whether to do this, let me tell you it is worth every cent. Two very happy people here, thank you.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Kakadu Air at Slade court, Darwin we were treated as special guests.
Check in was easy and our Pilot for the day was Dave, there was just the two of us and Dave on this trip and he made sure we were comfortable, ran through the safety instructions etc and gave a full and comprehensive commentary as we flew on the Scenic flight to Kakadu. Smooth landing at Cooinda, transfer to Kakadu Airs own van and driven to the Resort cafe, then on to the Yellow Water Boat Cruise where Dave left us with the boat guide. We did the Yellow Water Cruise siting many many Crocodiles and Birds including Jabaru's and Sea eagles and enjoyed good commentary on the cruise as well.
back at the cafe after the Cruise we enjoyed a very nice lunch and then we flew back to Darwin. A really great and informative day and a good way to get a taste of Kakadu in a short time. had friends who traveled by bus to do basically the same as we did but they took 2 Days where we did it in one.
Would recommend Fly with Kakadu Air

Commentary was very interesting particularly when the volume over the planes headset. Although the plane ride was bumpy we were given fair warning and did get to see the beautiful rock cliffs. Once landed we went straight to the boat cruise which was again filled with very interesting commentary. The cruise was very relaxing and scenery beautiful we got to see lots of wildlife. Our cruise driver was a very informative indigenous man with heritage from the area and gave us an insight to which plants were used for food and other areas in their culture. Lunch was perfect we had a menu to choose from and we went with a perfectly cooked barramundi and lemon myrtle sauce. The tour driver offered and hand delivered us an array of drinks. We had a table in the air con restaurant reserved for us unlike other bus tours who all got mixed around and had food off the buffet. We had plenty of time for lunch and to sit and talk to the small tour group of 8 we were with. Then we went an visited the cultural centre and learnt about the traditional owners of the area before a flight back.

We really enjoyed our day out. Flight with James out over the wetlands and into Kakadu was excellent and the escarpment highlights, including Jim Jim Falls were well-seen from the air. James' commentary was very good and his attention to and care for his (older) guests much appreciated. Our cruise on the Yellow Water was also good with a number of birds and a crocodile spotted. Vegetation in the wet season is quite lush and very green. Lunch was adequate and the location a nice break in the day. All guides/pilot excellent and well worth the money.
