      Darwin Harbour Sunset
A&C were wonderful hosts, being knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and the fish and chips were very nice, as was the doughnut.

Wonderful experience out on the water
Beautiful balmy night, delicious mackeral fish and chips supplied by Rachel. Very friendly helpful team ensured everyone had everything to make the trip comfortable. Not only was the sunset spectacular we even managed a few donuts to thrill!! Commentary was most informative. Toilet onboard. Would recommend this family owned business to anyone. Thanks for a memorable first night in Darwin.

Time your visit to Darwin with the full moon or the new moon so you don't miss this tour!
This is a tour worth every cent. From the time we booked to our docking after our tour, the staff were terrific. Great service at all times. The boat is very comfortable and our 1.5hr ride to Bare Island was great. Kerry is a great skipper. Dinner in the bento box was delicious accompanied by nice drinks - beers, wine and/or soft drinks. The knowledge of Carolyn and Natalie was amazing and we were very grateful to have them accompany us and help us learn more about the flat back turtles. Best of all we saw a mother turtle dig her nest, lay her eggs and return to the sea. WOW! Thank you for the opportunity to have this very special experience.

This tour lived up to its reputation
Garry was an entertaining & knowledgeable host who told/showed us so much of this event that wasn’t publicised at the time & since. He involved all 6 of us in his commentary & promoted the friendship amongst us all - we also got cues for “things to do” in Darwin

A good way to learn about the bombing of Darwin
We enjoyed this tour which covered a lot of ground regarding Darwin in WW2. It was good to combine the coach tour with the harbour boat tour.

Simple boat, seating, food & drink but a memorable experience.
Lowest price sunset Darwin cruise. Crew friendly. Excellent quality fish'n chips served with a pleasant drop of wine. The boat ride was fun. We saw dolphins and the deepest coloured sunset ever. We loved our budget cruise.

      Darwin WW2 tour
This was a very informative, comfortable and fun tour. Would recommend it for anyone wanting to get a good overview of Darwin & WW2. Our guide Chris, our guide, was very knowledgeable and provide some great insights to events of February 1942. The harbor cruise gave us a different aspect to the city and the bombing raids.

Darwin Harbour bombing WW11, lest we forget
Our tour guide Mariet picked us up in a clean, air conditioned mini bus. She was very knowledgeable about the fateful day, 19th Februay 1942 when the Japanese flew over Darwin Harbour and dropped hundreds of bombs, devastating Darwin. Lots of information I wasn’t taught in school. This tour took in the various points that were affected, and a visit to the defence museum, returning to town and then we boarded the cruise boat and were able to see the relevant points of interest from the harbour. A great tour; I totally enjoyed it. Well done to Mariet and the people on the boat, who did a great job.

Bus trip in morning and boat trip after. Very informative and great local guides. Bombing of Darwin centre is great, could easily go back later and visit to see rest of it as have limited time on bus trip. Highly recommend this trip.

Sunset cruise with Fish and chips
Great time had by all, with small group and specialized attention to all aboard. The fish and chips were some of the best I’ve ever had. The sunset was something to be experienced and enjoyed.

This tour was an eye opener, we were never taught about the bombing of Darwin, but our guide Kathy was so knowledgeable. The guide on the harbour cruise explained in detail the events that happened also.
We chose Sea Darwin Tours because they were a local company and we were not disappointed.
After talking with Kathy we purchased tickets for their sunset cruise too.

The RFDs have done such a great job of this attraction. It is well worth it and a must see. While the WWII part of their centre is fantastic and opened our eyes to some Australian history that we didn’t understand - the RFD section of the centre is wonderful. How lucky are we to have this service helping those in need who live remotely - the work they do supporting these communities is truely heroic

What a fantastic place too see what us in southern capitals didn’t comprehend what Darwin and it’s population went through. This is a must see attraction. There is so much information and personal stories. from survivors in letters and books. There is a virtuality setup where you can actually be part of the bombing and you think you are actually there, but do it twice and you see things the second time that you miss the first time.TRFDS is in the same building and very well done. Both are at Stokes Hill Wharf brilliant tourist attraction well worth seeing

The Bombing of Darwin Double is now a triple as is also includes an hour long harbour cruise conducted by Jim and Rob, two very interesting and knowledgeable chaps.

The museum is set on the harbour with powerful tugboats tied up along side as a reminder that Darwin remains an important working port. The 1942 Japanese bombing history is told in a fascinating, realistic and interactive way with extensive use of holograms and virtual reality helmets.

The history of the RFDS is also well explained. The Service has played such an important part in the development of the outback, it deserves to be well told - as it is here.

The Bombing of of Darwin Double (Triple) is a must see attraction!

Thank you for taking the time to review tcam! The Bombing of Darwin Double is a new combo, bringing together our cruise with the RFDS facility. We agree that it is must see, and with the discounts offered doing the Double together, makes it really worth while.

Book to go on this cruise for Saturday July 20 through Darwin tourism office .Was told cruise leaves at 11am and to do the RFDS at 9.30 and to meet for the cruise at 10.45
Recieved a call at 9.25 am from the cruise company telling me the cruise was about to leave and they do not do a 11am cruise
Darwin tourism tells me there is one .The company website says there is one at 11 and here on tripadvisor says there is one. Perhaps an idea to communicate what time the cruise actually leaves
Will get a refund but has now thrown our plans around

Hi Mark, I'm sorry you are disappointed, but to be fair, you didn't answer your phone when we rang this morning, and when you did return our call you acknowledged that your cruise ticket had 0930 departure. During that call you were never told that there is no 11am cruise, rather you were told that the 11am departure was full and you had been booked on the 0930 am one by Tourism Top End. We have no control over the advice you were given by Tourism Top End. We understand Tourism Top End has refunded you, and we do apologise for the confusion and wish you the best for the rest of your stay in Darwin.

We spent most of the day in the RFDS & Bombing of Darwin exhibit on Stokes Wharf. We thoroughly enjoyed the interactive exhibits & couldn't believe how much we didn't know about Darwin & WW2. The Cruise around the harbour was excellent with great commentary & stories from Rob & Jim. We also liked the fact that we could get a pass out, have lunch & then return to the exhibit at our leisure. Highly recommend.

On shore for a day from a ship we found this tour at the information centre.
What a wonderful trip it turned out to be.
We had no knowledge Of the bombing Darwin in Feb 1942 but our driver and guide was a fund of knowledge.
We travelled along the water front and he told the story of his father's experiences during the raids.
We saw where ships had been sunk.
    So much detail .
The tour takes in the military museum and other places of interest along the way.
The commentary was informative and humorous.
This tour is a must when in Darwin
    Thank you

An excellent way of exploring the past and to understand what had happened during the bombing of Darwin. The tour guides knew their history and well able to share a host of informative examples of what happened, when.

The boat was extremely comfortable and was very well suited to dashing around the harbour with a minimum of fuss.

An extremely good tour and is highly recommended.
