      Device's program works by GPS
It has relevant & very interesting informative learning content. I would suggest a short printed and device audio inclusion into the device software. The added instruction would be for people who have limited digitcal technology literacy. The instruction should be simple: emphasiizes that once the device has been turned on when next to Uluru, that the GPS will automatically restart operation for next audio info. matched to the geography of the listener's exact orientation around different sections of Uluru.

      Uluru Audio Guide
Easy to use, very informative. Full of interesting stories and facts at many areas we otherwise might have missed. The gps tracking is great as it picks up your exact location and provides the info relevant to that place.

      Very Good
Great stories. Sometimes hard to tell where the trigger points are. Needs a jack so multiple people can listen at a time while walking or an alternative. On the whole was very good.

      Uluru exploration
My mum and I decided on this as a way to explore and learn more on Uluru and Kata Tjuta during our visit. We wanted to do our own thing and not be tied down to tour schedules and so we could sit and take in this wonderful experience. It was so fabulous and I would definitely do this again. We learnt so much and could use the audio guide in the car and as we walked. Stories were great and informative. It was so simple to use. Give it a go.

      Amazing product
We have been using the audio guide to explore Uluru and Kata Tjuta for 2 days. It is an excellent high quality product! Really amazing the box the team put together, every component is high quality and the contents are really thought over! No crashes, no bugs, no problems! All audio guides should be this quality!!!

Simple to Use and Great Info
Because the guide is GPS-based, the commentary always remains relevant to exactly where you happen to be, physically. And the quality of the commentary is very good.

      Very well done
The audio guide was easy to use and professionally put together. The gps cues were spot on and made our walk around Uluru far richer than it would have been otherwise. I highly recommend it.

      Hidden Gem!
Honestly, our trip to the NT didn’t go as planned and it was very last minute and everything was booked out but I saw this and thought it seemed different to a normal audio guide so I booked it out, it was cheap and it had to know more than I did anyway. We were blown away by how accurate the GPS in it is, it told us to stop before telling us about a location that usually had a sign in front of it to read from also. We drove around a lot but we also did the mala walk with the guide, and also the walk to the waterhole. And then some of the base walk. It even showed us where to see cave paintings and all the things we thought we would miss out on by not having a human guide. You can do walking tours with it or plug it into your car and drive around the national park. Because we hired it and our rental car for 24 hours, we were able to go out and spend the way walking and driving around Uluru and then came back again in the morning for sunrise and did a little more walking before handing it back. I really recommend hiring this and self driving/walking around the park.

Great guide without restrictions of a tour
The audio guide really added to my walk around Uluru! I was able to do the walk at my own pace, stopping to enjoy the amazing place whilst learning about its special place in indigenous culture with significant places explained and a few songs along the way for good measure

Was ok, some good stories to listen to in the car. Ear pieces are rubbish and it should have Bluetooth connectivity to your own ear buds (its 2023!). Also there should be an audio prompt to let you know the information in each location has finished like a beep.

Hi, Thanks for your review. It is great to hear that you enjoyed listening to our audio guide and learning about the local area. We are working with our software developers to allow bluetooth connectivity, however despite it being 2023, it is a technological challenge to be able to provide over 150 GPS triggered stories in remote Central Australia; unfortunately at this point in time bluetooth impacts the reliability and accuracy of our GPS triggering. We hope in the future we will be able to overcome this and provide this feature. Thank you for your feedback about putting a beep in at the end of each segment. We'll pass that on for our development team. We hope the rest of your time in the Red Centre was wonderful. Kind Regards, From all of us at Uluru Audio Guide.

We loved the audio guide for Uluṟu. It kept our 11 year olds engaged through the whole day as we stopped at various places around the rock. We learnt so much about the rock, the area and general history and cultures. Very much worth it.

The Uluru Audio Guide was a fantastic way to hear interesting facts and information while self driving around Uluru and Kata Tjuta. The information was easy to operate with GPS picking up locations and audio to allow hands free operation. The stories were authentically from indigenous sources.

Traveling as a group of 2 couples, we decided to hire audio guides as our time was limited and we had our own car. We were greeted by Natalie who was such fun and made sure we had the best time with our audioguides. We had them set up quickly, and headed out at our own pace. Some walked around and had heaps of information to listen to, but when it rained we took the car from point to point, listening to the commentary before parking and continuing on foot between the showers. We did the ranger-guided tour also but found that the audio guide was very informative for the remainder of the walk. We used them at Kata Tjuta also and learned so much. Many thanks again, Natalie.

Hi Linda, Thank you for your brilliant review. It is great to hear that your group enjoyed using our Audio Guides so much. It's really nice to hear that you used them at Uluru and Kata Tjuta both on foot and whilst driving, we agree it's such a great way to explore Uluru at your own pace and still learn all about it. It is also wonderful to hear that you had such great service from Natalie. Natalie has a great sense of humour and is a wealth of knowledge about the local area, I'll be sure to pass your praise for her also. We hope the rest of your time in Central Australia was just as great. Cheers, From all of us at Uluru Segway Tours.

If you are self touring, this is a must. We hired the guide for our Uluṟu base walk. We hadn’t realised we should also have hired it for our trip to Kata Thursday, nor how great it was when driving around - the guide plays though your car radio. This isn’t some mass produced import, it’s home grown at Uluṟu by three local tour guides. The tech is spectacular - it knows where you are and plays automatically. The content is informative and enlightening, at times emotive, and equally covers Aboriginal story and history, European history, the rock itself, and the native flora and fauna. I really cannot recommend this more.

Hi, Thanks for the incredible review! It is great to hear that you found our audio guide to be absolutely essential! It is also really nice to hear that you found the GPS technology we use to be so accurate. Prior to launching our team painstakingly walked, plotted, re-walked and re-plotted the over 100 GPS trigger points we use. Thank you so much for sharing your great feedback with us on TripAdvisor, we hope the rest of your time at Uluru was just as great. Cheers, From all of us at Uluru Audio Guide.

These guides are fantastic. We wanted to do the base walk at our own pace but wanted to be well informed along the way. These guides were perfect. The information and stories they included were fascinating. Also very easy to use - and I’m no tech wiz. We took our own ear sets based on previous reviews but they were not needed. We found the sets supplied were comfortable and worked well.

I highly recommend this as a cost effective and informative way of experiencing Uluru. We didn't want to do a formal tour as we wanted to experience Uluru at our own pace. But, we wanted to learn about Uluru and understand its place in Aboriginal culture and the environment and geology. This ticked all those boxes. My only tip is to bring your own headphones, we didn't love the headphones that were provided

Hi, Thanks for the amazing review! It is fantastic to hear that you had such a great experience self-exploring Uluru and learning about local culture, environment and geology using our audio guide. That's a good tip about headphones, if you are planning on using our audio guide and have a preferred headphone, our devices will fit any headphones that are corded with a round cord plug in. Hope the rest of your time at the Red Centre was just as great. Cheers From all of us at Uluru Audio Guide.

When our pre-booked guided tour cancelled at the last minute I was devasted. We were scheduled for a 6 hour sunrise and guided walking tour of Uluru and we thought this would be the highlight of our holiday. It was cancelled as our guide fell ill.
In less than an hour, Alex from Uluru Audio Tours had helped me plan a self guided tour that was even better than we could have imagined. Alex took the time to calm my anxiety, talked with me about what we wanted to do and see, and then suggested a fantastic itinerary. She helped me book the Hop On Hop Off bus, and suggested what stops to use, and what direction to walk.
After seeing the sunrise, we hopped back on the bus and got off at Mala Car park and walked clockwise - Alex accurately told us that this maximises our time in the shade. We ended our walk at the Culture Centre after walking 12 kms.
The Auido Tour was amazing. The GPS was wonderfully accurate, even telling us about specific trees as we walked past. The information, stories of dreaming, and the history was easy to listen to and made the walk very enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.

Hi, I'm so glad we could help save your holiday!! I can imagine it was a bit stressful when you learned that your guided tour was cancelled and I am so glad to have been able to help you plan an alternative activity so quickly. As you mention our Audio Guide is a fabulous way to get to Uluru and if you are self exploring around the rock, pairing the Hop on Hop off and Uluru Audio Guide is the best way to go. It is so good to hear that you found the audio tour to be amazing, accurate and to be a world class experience, thank you for the amazing review! I hope the rest of your time at Uluru was just as great. Thank you for your brilliant review. Cheers, Alex Uluru Audio Guide
