          Not to be missed!
Watching the sun rise over Uluru is a very special & magical experience enhanced by the extraordinary Field of Light installation by British creator Bruce Munro. Excellent guide (Chloe?) and a smaller group. Preferable experience to the Sunset tour - if you only do one then this is it.

          Sunrise experience was better
Iconic view of Uluru at sunset - however, too many people, an irritating driver/tour guide (limited knowledge, thought he was a comedy act). Fizz & nibbles were OK, BBQ cancelled. Better option is the Sunrise & Field of Light.

          Loved it.
What an amazing experience this was. We were driven to an area plied with drinks and snacks to watch the breathtaking sunset from a great viewpoint. It was not overly crowded so you could get decent uninterrupted views and take some great photos. We were then driven to an area so close to the rock for a bbq cooked to your liking with plenty of choice after which we were treated to a star gazing talk. Absolutely worth every penny. The staff were so amazing and made sure you had everything you needed. One of the highlights of our Australian trip.

          MUST DO
MUST DO! Very early morning (pick up at about 5am, dependent on time of year). Back to the resort before suppertime. Great hike, Starts with a 520 step climb tp get to the rim...that's the hardest part. Easier after that, but still many more ups and downs, just shorter ones. Good exercise. Bring LOTS of water, particularly in the hot months. Park regulations stipulate 3L per person. On the resort, buy bottled water at the Shell gas station....much cheaper that at the hotels. Or at the IGA grocery store, but not sure about their prices.

          Morning Magnificence
The views were amazing and we took lots of photos. Michelle and Riley (guide and driver) were excellent hosts and really informative. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Uluru.

Do yourself a favour, take the challenge of KC walk with supportive informative staff!
Being not a great morning person the 4.15am start didn’t really appeal, however do yourself a favour, make the effort!!! On arrival our tour crew, Chloe, Haley and Jess were outstanding, they catered to all of us, easily placing overseas tourists, locals, us older people and the younger people at ease. They were engaging and provided interesting commentary and facts all day. Breakfast at Kings Creek Station was a bacon and eggs affair for me but there were also healthier options. Then it was on to the Rim Walk at King Canyon. The first 200 steps had people struggling, but being allowed to ascend at a leisurely pace and being encouraged by the guides ensured we all made it to the top and the start of the walk around the rim. The staff were awesome pointing out areas of interest and providing informative commentary. The views and photo opportunities were outstanding. Though I am not an ‘influencer’ I could picture influencers creating outstanding content all around this walk! The spectacular views and scenery cannot be captured via camera….you really just need to do this walk! Although only 6.65km (via the gps watch) it is quite difficult for those that may have limited fitness. The mid morning/midday sun also takes a toll on the south side of the walk, make sure you suck down the water. The walk down is also quite challenging, but the reward of completing this walk is well worth it. Lunch at the Kings Canyon resort was welcomed and the journey back to Yulara was relaxing. A stop at Atila for photos and also at Curtain Springs roadhouse were also a step back in time. We loved this tour, and the staff running it were outstanding!

          Mesmerising sight.
We arrived after a short, comfortable ride. Michael, the driver, supplied a detailed narration on the way to Kata Tjuta. Unfortunately, there was music being played at the same time, making it difficult to listen to his commentary. We arrived well before sunset and were served snacks and refreshments, including sparkling and red wine, beer, and soft drinks. On our visit to Uluru the previous day, we were not inconvinced by the flies. However, at Kata Tjuta, it was a different senerio. I would definitely recommend using a flynet. The timing of our visit coincided with a full moon rising on our return to Uluru.

Perfect day trip - worth every minute and every dollar
What a way to fill a day! I joined Glen and Cole for a tour of Kings Canyon. I did the creek walk after trying the steps for the 6km walk and finding my body was not up to the task. Glen dealt with that decision with compassion and competence. I enjoyed the walk along the creek bed with Cole learning much about the flora, fauna and geology. It was a 38degree day and it was not for the faint hearted. You can not carry too much water on these days. You need it all. The bus carried fill ups which was much appreciated. We stopped for a great cooked breakfast prior. Seeing camels and meeting Bruce the donkey. We learned of the value of the area and its resources via Glens commentary on the drive. Afterwards we had lunch at Kings Canyon Resort. Some people swam. Some took the helicopter over the canyon. It was a full day but with naps on the drive and a pit stop at Mt Conners cattle station for ice cream on the way home, it was a comfortable 13hrs. Highly recommend.

Field of Lights with Dinner: Average tour, but VERY expensive
While the Field of Light installation is worth a visit combining it with dinner was not worth the experience. Generous with drinks when we arrived at the Uluru vantage point to watch the sunset was nice. Very expensive tour ($600 for 2 people) and the food was the worst we had in the entire trip- a very average buffet. We almost missed getting the description of the stars as the person giving the talk had already been to several other tours that night- we had been instructed to leave the venue to walk through the field of lights when he arrived and he rushed quickly through the presentation. Would not recommend. Much cheaper and more enjoyable would have been to walk through the installation on our own and then go for a dinner somewhere.

Sunset tour to Kata Tjitu is a must.
We thoroughly enjoyed our sunset tour to Kata Tjuṯa. Our tour guide Aaron delivered excellent service, ranging from fascinating insights into the local indigenous culture and history, to serving wonderful snacks and refreshments. We recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Ayres Rock (Uluru) resort.

Incredible introduction to some of the cultural aspects of Uluru
We learned so much from our Aṉangu guide Valerie, who was super generous in sharing some of the stories that make Uluru such a special place for the Aṉangu people. Our driver and guide Jesse was also really engaging and knowledgeable and shared some other stories and knowledge that we loved hearing. We would strongly recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning about Uluru as more than just a geological feature in the desert.

          A morning well spent
A delightful base walk around the iconic Uluru expertly guided by Rachel. Well paced, plenty of knowledge shared and great photo opportunities. Rachel was extremely knowledgeable and generously took photos for everyone. We finished the walk a little early so we made a quick visit to the cultural centre and a postcard photo to finish. Highly recommend

          Totally underwhelming
This expensive ‘field of light’ experience was disappointing from start to finish. Our group was in the last showing of the night & I’m not sure how these lights are powered, but they were dull & many of them weren’t working. The ‘journey’ along the path, was a track that took about 20 minutes to walk around, even though an hour was provided. There is no story, music or connection to Country, just a very ordinary ’money grab’ from the tour provider. The entire group felt the same way. The highlight of the night was standing next to the one gas heater (for 50 people) until the shuttle bus came 30 minutes later. Do yourself a favour & visit one of the local cultural centres. This will be a more meaningful experience for you.

          Fantastic Tour Guide Company!
This tour company was brilliant and their employees were excellent! Incredibly informative tour guides & the pickups from your hotel were absolutely on time, every time & we were on about 6 different tours. Big shoutout to Glen who was our tour guide around the rock! Beautiful & informative young man however all the guides were amazing too.

          Uluṟu sunrise experience
Amazing experience. A must when heading to the middle of Australia. Stunning scenery and great to hear the Tjukurpa stories. Recommend that you have a small snack before you go as the light breakfast is served 2hrs into the morning.

Kayla was our tat our guide and Pete was our driver. Both were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and welcoming. They were able to convey a respectful understanding of the culture of the Anangu and their ability to live with the land. The views were awesome. My only criticism is that refreshments were offered as we got off the bus to go to the sunrise viewing rather than having them available so we could have them before or after the viewing which meant that one potentially had to choose between going to the viewing of the sunrise if one walked slowly or was managing a mobility assistive device as it was difficult to walk with a hot drink in one hand and the mobility device in the other.

It was an early morning wake-call at 4.00 am leaving Sails in the Desrt at 4.40 am. The coach was spacious and comfortable. Jake and Nerida were pleasant and informative guides. There were some great viewing places of Uluru and Kata Tjuta on our rounds. The walk u Walpa Gorge was not too strenuous. You had to watch where you walked to avoid tripping over boulders. We were very lucky as the weather was not too hot, but cloudy. The Gorge was very windy, so there wasn't much point wearing a hat. All in all it was a worthwhile walk. Thanks to our friendly guides. Happy Christmas.

Great tour and enjoyed experiencing Ayres Rock at sunrise. We didn’t get the best sunrise due to clouds but I can imagine how beautiful the colours are when the weather is better. The guides were great and very knowledgeable. The canyon walk was lovely too. The only downside was that no food was provided and the trip is half a day.

The Uluru sunrise and Kata Tjuta tour was a great experience - amazing scenery, great to see the sunrise at Uluru, and a good walk up to the Walpa gorge (cold, but still good!). Our driver, Colin, and our tour guide, Tennile, were great - both seemed very knowledgeable and were very friendly. Tennile walked with us to the gorge and happily offered to take photos there so the whole family could be in the photos - a real asset to your company!

we’ve done two trips so far. Both of them have been really amazing. The staff are really passionate and knowledgeable about the aboriginal culture stories, ecology and geology . The first trip was the Uluru base trip and sunset with drinks and nibbles and the second one. was the Uluru sunrise and trip to kata tjuta and walk to a gorge about 45 minutes with a talk about the ecology and geology, it included tea and biscuits.

Glen, Phil & Yuki...our guides & driver, made this such an enjoyable outing. they were very informative & engaging, being very inclusive of everybody, warm & entertaining. Felt very safe in the comfortable bus, enjoyed our early morning tea while watching the Uluru sunrise. The Walps Gorge walk at Kata Tjuta was gorgeous too...highly recommend this tour.

It was amazing to see the sunrise from the viewing platform in front of Uluru. It was definitely worth the very early start to the day. The scenery is nothing short of amazing. After viewing the sunrise we were then taken to Kata Tjuta, which was another awesome experience. It was arctic freezing cold going up the rocky pathway to go to the Gorge and we gave up just before heading through the gorge whilst most of the group continued through. We then went to the Dune viewing area for more great photo opportunities of Kata Tjura.

Not worth it!! Sunrise is opposite direction from Uluru. Between the multitude of flies, the heat, and no breakfast the cost was not worth it. Not only did you not get close to Uluru but the strenuous walk to a very uninteresting view in a canyon was not what I call a good time. The guides talk was interesting but I would not recommend this trip due to the value on what you get. Also REALLY bad time of year for any outdoor activity. Wait till June

This tour was good. The driver "eddie" wrecked it. He was a total pain, I dreaded it every time he spoke. He did have a lot of knowledge, but the way he treated other staff and spoke over the top of them was very rude. The amount of dribble he spoke out weighed the good. We were late getting picked up, then told to hurry because we were late. He is detrimental to your company. On the walk to kata tjuka lookout we were told to turn around at 9.05, no matter where you were even if you had not made it to the lookout. OK everybody, everybody OK he repeated this the whole time, so annoying.

Our guide found a great place to park so that our walk wasn't longer than it needed to be. She made sure we knew what time we needed to be back to the bus on both parts of the trip. Uluru was nice. The time we had for the walk at Kata Tjuta was less than most people needed to walk to the end of the gorge and back, so not everyone made the full walk. A lot of great views for those who made it all the way.
