          Amazing natural Beauty
A brilliant introduction to Uluru with our excellent guide Jessica who was extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to indigenous people . Spectacular art installation, only surpassed by the beauty of Uluru itself !

Uluru sunrise and Kata Tjuta half day tour - with great guides.
The tour was great and worked very well to see Uluru and Kata Tjuta in a half day and experience the two brilliant places. Good sunrise position and a wondrous, absorbing gorge walk. Specifically the two tour guides Glen and driver Michael were superb. Interesting, funny, knowledgeable, inclusive and good company. They provided a poignant and fascinating commentary to the tour.

A magical tour with the field of lights and sunrise over Uluru.
This tour was great. Our guide Catherine and driver Alan took us to the field of lights and allowed us to wander around at our Leisure before we had a morning cuppa while watching Uluru being light up by the morning sunrise. It was spectacular. Catherine had an abundance of knowledge and always answered our questions. The field of lights are magical

          Uluru Sunset Tour
Very basic experience, the Bus just drop off at Uluru, some biscuits and Cheese and waiting for the Sunset. Anyone could get a hop in hop off bus to get there. Too expensive for 99 AUD per person + 38AUD for the park fee.

Much less than the resort tours!
A large bus picked us up at the resort. Write drove around Uluru and were given commentary on the sacred sites we passed. It was very hot, so I was happy to be in an air conditioned bus for the ride around the rock. We stopped at the cultural center. There was interesting history written within wall art , many photos, and a short movie about the local peoples. There was a gift shop and clean toilets. There was a short walk to a watering hole containing native artwork. Our guide Mitch did a great job telling us about the area and keeping people organized and together. We were taken to a viewing area for the sunset. There was plenty of champagne and light snacks to enjoy while we waited for the sunset. On our visit, there was a huge cloud obstructing the sun, so we didn’t get the colors we were expecting. We did get some amazing lightning in the opposite direction. You can never predict nature! It was great that Mitch kept reminding everyone to keep drinking their water. There was plenty of cold water on the bus and we were able to refill our water bottles at each stop. We were offered folding stools to sit on while waiting for the sunset, but they were too low for this senior citizen. We walked over to an area with benches and picnic tables instead. I could see where this area could get very crowded, but on our night we were okay, and there wasn’t a great view anyway.

          Good views, poor guide
The experience of seeing the magnificent rick was excellent, slightly dampened by a cloudy morning, but still very worthwhile. When we got to Kata Tjuṯa, the sun showed up for a while and this was impressive. So why 3 stars you may ask ? The tour guide I think her name was Nerja or similar?? (She was about 60 with blond hair ) was very rude, sarcastic and little interest in her guests, she was regularly throwing her eyes up to heaven, but managed to be civil when using the coach PA system. Whilst at Kata Tjuṯa , she gave a worthwhile safety briefing . Then proceeded to march off at a fast pace leaving all her guests behind , we kept up with her as were keen walkers, but others where 200-300 metres behind her on rough terrain; not once did she look back to check on their welfare . When at the viewing platform, she stared into space with her back to all her guests . Maybe having a bad day, but it wasn’t a good representative for the company. On the other hand the driver Riley was very amicable, taking time to talk to guests and answer questions

          Worth doing.
The sun did not set over the Kata Tjuta outcrop as shown in the booking photo. Access to the actual rock faces was not possible because there was a fenced in area. It was still a pleasant trip with decent hors d’oeuvres and wine. The site is used by several tour groups.

Long Day if You Don’t Do the Long Walk
This tour was well organized and the logistics were handled well. Our guides were Lincoln and Chloe and they were wonderful. Very knowledgeable and engaging. It was a super long day with a pick up for us at 4:15am and a return back around 5:00pm. In our opinion this trip would only be worth it if you are capable of doing the 3 hour rim walk. We were warned that the walk starts with a very steep climb of more than 500 steps and then continues with a lot of up and down. The heat is intense in the high 30’s. While the surrounding area is beautiful, we are not sure it warrants six hours of driving if you don’t see the upper canyon area. We started on the rim walk but after doing the first 200 steps felt it would be too challenging to continue. Chloe was very understanding as we went back down to join the creek walk. Lincoln provided a very informative walk on the ground of the canyon but it was obviously not as exciting. The tour advertised the opportunity to enjoy the amenities of a resort but the property was more like a lodge and there were some obnoxious students in the pool. We swam for a bit anyway and then had a nice lunch while waiting for the return back. We didn’t find the stops on the return to be very interesting and felt they were unnecessary at that point. Lincoln was an excellent driver and made us feel safe the entire time on a difficult and long journey. In our opinion if you don’t have the ability to do an extremely difficult hike (graded as a 5) and the definite highlight, then perhaps give it a pass.

          Absolute nonsense tour
I didn't understand the organization of this itinerary at all. I travel for work and have been on hundreds of tours, and this is in my bottom three. HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE: Pick up guests. Drive to an Uluru viewing platform. Provide hot drink. Guests walk to viewing platform to see Uluru at sunrise. HOW IT WAS: Guests were picked up. We drove to an Uluru viewing platform, where a station for hot drinks (in satchel form) was set up. There was no line, it was an absolute free for all with lots of shoving. Time was wasted just getting the three things you needed: cup, powder/teabag, hot water, none of which had lines. After wasting a bunch of time playing an impromptu round of the Hunger Games, you then walked to the viewing platform, cup in hand, because there were no trash cans. You're also joining 5 other buses full of people, mind you, so the viewing platform is another free for all as you're wrestling for the best spot (with one hand, because remember you're still holding on to your cup). Taking photos was a nightmare. They told us to be back at the bus at 6:05, which is baffling! Sunrise was at 5:54, but the walk back takes 10-15 minutes. Essentially, we were told to be at the bus as the sun was rising, which defeats the purpose of watching the sun rise over Uluru. Even more baffling because we spent 15 minutes sitting in the bus afterwards? Doing nothing?? Like we could have spent more time at the viewing platform? Absolute nonsense. I suspect the tour guide has dealt with late guests before so she told everyone to be back 15 minutes early. Too bad it meant missing the actual sunrise, but she simply didn't care, lol. She just wanted to go home. There was no info provided about Uluru at all. When we pulled up to the viewing platform, all we got was "oh look, there are desert trees..." which yeah, we're in a desert. Tell us more about Uluru! The drive to Kata Tjutu was full of tree facts lol, she just pointed out different kinds of trees and read from a script. I couldn't tell if it was the tour guide's first day or 20th year in the business. Either she didn't know what she was doing or she has simply done it so often, she didn't care anymore. Kata Tjutu itself was nice, we went up and down and that was it, lol. If you're decently fit - like if you could get through a gym class in high school - you'll be fine. There's a bit of an incline but the challenge is the uneven ground caused by a conglomerate of rocks. It's a 20-minute walk up, so very doable. Even this part of the tour you could just see on your own if you rent a car. This tour felt like spending money on things I could do on my own, but like... paying to make it unenjoyable. Skip it if you can.

          Not to be missed!
Watching the sun rise over Uluru is a very special & magical experience enhanced by the extraordinary Field of Light installation by British creator Bruce Munro. Excellent guide (Chloe?) and a smaller group. Preferable experience to the Sunset tour - if you only do one then this is it.

          Sunrise experience was better
Iconic view of Uluru at sunset - however, too many people, an irritating driver/tour guide (limited knowledge, thought he was a comedy act). Fizz & nibbles were OK, BBQ cancelled. Better option is the Sunrise & Field of Light.

          Loved it.
What an amazing experience this was. We were driven to an area plied with drinks and snacks to watch the breathtaking sunset from a great viewpoint. It was not overly crowded so you could get decent uninterrupted views and take some great photos. We were then driven to an area so close to the rock for a bbq cooked to your liking with plenty of choice after which we were treated to a star gazing talk. Absolutely worth every penny. The staff were so amazing and made sure you had everything you needed. One of the highlights of our Australian trip.

          MUST DO
MUST DO! Very early morning (pick up at about 5am, dependent on time of year). Back to the resort before suppertime. Great hike, Starts with a 520 step climb tp get to the rim...that's the hardest part. Easier after that, but still many more ups and downs, just shorter ones. Good exercise. Bring LOTS of water, particularly in the hot months. Park regulations stipulate 3L per person. On the resort, buy bottled water at the Shell gas station....much cheaper that at the hotels. Or at the IGA grocery store, but not sure about their prices.

Do yourself a favour, take the challenge of KC walk with supportive informative staff!
Being not a great morning person the 4.15am start didn’t really appeal, however do yourself a favour, make the effort!!! On arrival our tour crew, Chloe, Haley and Jess were outstanding, they catered to all of us, easily placing overseas tourists, locals, us older people and the younger people at ease. They were engaging and provided interesting commentary and facts all day. Breakfast at Kings Creek Station was a bacon and eggs affair for me but there were also healthier options. Then it was on to the Rim Walk at King Canyon. The first 200 steps had people struggling, but being allowed to ascend at a leisurely pace and being encouraged by the guides ensured we all made it to the top and the start of the walk around the rim. The staff were awesome pointing out areas of interest and providing informative commentary. The views and photo opportunities were outstanding. Though I am not an ‘influencer’ I could picture influencers creating outstanding content all around this walk! The spectacular views and scenery cannot be captured via camera….you really just need to do this walk! Although only 6.65km (via the gps watch) it is quite difficult for those that may have limited fitness. The mid morning/midday sun also takes a toll on the south side of the walk, make sure you suck down the water. The walk down is also quite challenging, but the reward of completing this walk is well worth it. Lunch at the Kings Canyon resort was welcomed and the journey back to Yulara was relaxing. A stop at Atila for photos and also at Curtain Springs roadhouse were also a step back in time. We loved this tour, and the staff running it were outstanding!

An absolutely outstanding experience and and very much worth doing. The tour moves at a leisurely pace with lots of time to take in the amazing sunset while enjoying a glass of wine and some snacks. The dinner under the stars at the base of Uluru was an experience we will never forget. What also made it very special was our driver Jess, her professional approach, her passion for her work and knowledge was outstanding (with a little bit of humour thrown in). Thank you, Con and Mary.

Tour was really great. Guide picked us up on time and he provided lot of info about tour. He knew lot about aborigin's history and culture, so we had great opportunity to learn much about that. Uluru is just amazing site and worth to visit it. Final BBQ was nice, lot of food and drinks. When we cheched photos later, we realized that colors of Uluru are really changing in sunset time, even that is not so obvious when you keep your eyes on it.

Hi milanskapin, Thank you for taking the time to leave AAT Kings an amazing review! We always appreciate when our guests share their experiences that they have had with us. Our Uluru Sacred Sites & Sunset with BBQ Dinner is an experience to remember! The colours changing on the horizon at the Sunset viewing area are incredible and our authentic Aussie BBQ under the stars truly is a magical way to finish a great night. Thank you again for the review, we hope to see you again on board AAT Kings tours soon!

WE were picked up on time, the guide and driver were enthusiastic and knowledgeable but it wasn't always easy to hear them over the PA system.
We were unlucky with the weather in that it was very cloudy so we didnt get the orange glow over Ayres Rock, but that did also mean that we were not as troubled by flies as we had anticipated.
Did not do the dinner, so cannot comment on that.

All things considered, the tour was just as expected. It was fine, but impersonal. I didn’t enjoy the big coach experience with 40 something people. To be fair, it’s what we signed up for, so I knew that going in. But earlier that day, we did the sunrise Kata Tjuṯa with a small group and it was spectacular. My problem is that we paid the exact same amount for both experiences. The small group (SEIT) was considerably better. For this particular tour (AAT), we were charged Peak prices because we booked the day of the tour. The two tours cannot compare and yet they were the same price.

The tour was wonderful! Jakob and Hayley were so incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. This tour really highlighted the rich history of Uluru and its cultural significance. We especially loved hearing the stories of the different sides of the rocks as we hiked and drove around the site. It was quite hot but the team made sure we stayed hydrated and in the shade as much as possible. The sunset was absolutely stunning and for only spending the day in Uluru we left with such an appreciation for this beautiful place! Thank you! Our tour was technically the sacred sites one booked through the resort but didn’t see it listed.

Unfortunately, the day on my visit is raining . However, I had an experience of waterfalls from the red rocks, it’s Amazing, once in a lifetime. So BBQ dinner outdoor with view of sunset of Uluru was canceled dueto rain; however, half day tour with walking through the sacred sites: Kanja gorges, Mutitjulu water hole and etc. very enjoyable and much knowledgeable.

My husband & I had a great time on this tour! Our tour guides were really friendly and knowledgeable. Driving around the Uluru base was a wonderful way to avoid the heat of the day, but still see all the sites. The sunset at Uluru was beautiful and we enjoyed the couple of snack and drink options.

I'm lost for words. This was one of the best tours I have experienced conducted by hosts who knew their stuff. We were fortunate to have had excellent weather which provided a great sunset and plenty of stars. The food was excellent. Highly recommended.
