          Great time...
We had the pleasure of having Diane as our guide. She is a superstar! We got so much more out of this short excursion than we did from some longer tours. She was a wealth of information while making everyone feel comfortable. We had so much fun all while viewing the wonder of Uluru. Thanks so much Diane!

Fantastic knowledgeable guide Trent who shared so much with us - this was an amazing tour of the base of Uluru - the highlight was seeing the ancient rock art and of course the champagne and nibbles as we watched the sunset !

          Awe inspiring
A great tour with several stops along the way. Our tour guide Rachel, despite being British was very knowledgeable about the local Anunga people, the Kara Tjuta geology etc. The final walk up into one of the canyons was the highlight being so close to the rock formations.

Drive by the sacred sites of Uluru never seen publicly
Rachel is an awesome, articulate and knowledgeable guide. Pick up was 1530hrs and hot 40C and remained in the 30s at the end of tour at 2030hrs. Lots of walking and in awe at colours and textures of Uluru and drinking H2O. Need to drink 1L per hour, guide had large water coolers for top up but not cold. Drinks and nibbles on sunset were so memorable, well worth it.

Recommend this trip for those on a budget/short time
This was great trip. We had less than 24 hours in Uluru so could only book 1 trip. We chose this one because it was great value for money. We were lucky to go on a lovely evening with an amazing sunset. It was just the right amount of time needed to experience Uluru. Highly recommend.

Do not miss the full experience of Uluru
To hike the entire circumfernece of Uluru was an honor. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Dreamtime stories, about Uluru itself and the flora and fauna of the area. On top of all that, we had a lovely bag of breakfast goodies with some snacks to eat while walking as well as breakfast for our sitdown break. this hike was the highlight of my visti to Uluru.

Loved this tour .Picked up on time (was very early start )04.45.Driven in comfortable mini bus ,small group of people .Driver and tour guide was the delightful Hayley ,she was amazing ,so knowledgeable too ! Tour involved a short fairly steep walk up to the viewing platform to see sunrise over both Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa.Just beautiful seeing the colours change at Kata Tjuṯa ,then on to breakfast where Hayley set out cereals ,made toasted muffins, fruit ,toast and Tea or coffee. Then onto a walk through Waḻpa Gorge .Wow that was spectacular ! It did involve some walking over very uneven terrain but it was worth every step .We were then transferred back to our hotels .Great tour

          Sunrise and more!
Outstanding tour this morning led by our wonderful driver/guide/chef (you name it) Haley. Whilst it was an early start from our hotel at 4.45 am, it was well worth it. Super informative, enough physical activity, without going overboard and a lovey simple breakfast as well. Thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

We did the Kata Tjuta Domes tour of Walpa Gorge with Connor from SEIT and he did a fantastic job explaining the way life was in the National Park and how the Anangu people lived during these times.

Due to the weather being in the mid 40s, we were not able to complete the trek into the Walpa Gorge for our safety. Most places in the National Park close the treks if it reaches beyond 36C which it did majority of the time we were there. However, not to worry as Connor took us to the Kata Tjuta Viewing Deck which was absolutely stunning.

I would highly recommend this tour as Kata Tjuta is often overlooked for Uluru but is just as beautiful. Definitely would recommend going in the early mornings if you are going in the summer months or going during the winter.

        Don't forget your fly nets!

We did this tour with six other people and our great SEIT guide Michele (young Italian gent). Although it is described as an afternoon tour we did it in the morning as SEIT had been mucked around a fair bit by work being done in the National Park at Walpa Gorge, causing a lot of their regular tours to be cancelled.

We jagged it for a lovely group and we all warmed to Michele due to his hospitality, knowledge and care for us all. When I say warmed, we needed it as it was 3 degrees when we arrived to see the sunrise from the Kata Tjuta viewing platform. People had sleeping bags, blankets and warm partners and friends to keep them warm. I would have paid good money for a beanie (which I did the next day in preparation for the Sounds of Silence dinner). We only had around 50 people on the platform which could probably hold about 200+ so we had unobstructed views.

After a breakfast of cereal, hot chocolate, juice and toast masterfully prepared by Michele we walked up the gorge. We were fascinated the whole way by the conglomerate formation of the rocks - totally different to the smoother rock shape and appearance of Uluru. Lively Zebra Finches feasted on a small patch of water en route and entertained us with their singing and aerial dancing.

Michele told us stories and shared information for the whole trip. He knows a lot about the flora and sparse fauna and met the challenge of all our questions. We had a truly good time.

Also want to give a special call out to the delightful Julia who arranged things for us from her SEIT information booth. She juggled our late entry onto a tour with several cancellations and reorganisations caused by anticipated Park closures at Walpa Gorge. She kept us informed the whole time and looked after us very well.

We are so glad that you got to experience the stunning sunrise at Kata Tjuta, even though it was a bit cold! Worth it though, right? At SEIT we aim to share not only the stunning views of Australian landmarks but also the cultural stories that are tied to them- and we are happy to hear that this is an experience you got to enjoy. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely review, and we hope to see you again soon. Cheers, The SEIT Outback Australia Team

Excellent from start to finish - pick up from Desert Gardens in a new Merc mini bus, just a small group (part of the attraction), interesting drive to KT/aka the Olgas, enjoyable walk through Walpa Gorge (not arduous, need good trainers or walking boots), personable and highly informative guide (thank you Rachel!), we were even played some modern Aboriginal music on the drive back. We loved seeing the Uluru sunset but this was our stand-out experience in the area - fewer visitors, uniquely special - would definitely recommend.

I'm not giving this a lower rating because (a) it's my own fault for booking the afternoon tour (I booked too late to get the morning tour) and (b) I liked the tour guide. However, it was quite hot when we went, hot enough that my wife and I agreed she should not go. I was the first one picked up and told my guide this. After we picked up the others and drove out there, upon our arrival to Kata Tjuta our guide informed us that SEIT had a policy that once it hit a certain temperature they only complete half the hike.

So my first thought was "Why didn't you mention this at booking? Why didn't you tell me this when you picked me up and knew I was leaving my wife behind?" Then in addition, once we get into Kata Tjuta and would go no further, I noticed that NO OTHER GROUP was turning back. Only ours. This was quite frustrating.

So I do not recommend booking the afternoon tour when there is any chance that it might get too hot.

A wonderful afternoon seeing a truly incredible part of this amazing country. Dan the van man, driver and tour guide extraordinaire made it an unforgettable experience. His knowledge of this area and his ability to share it with such enthusiasm was wonderful to be a part of. I escorted my elderly parents on a Red Centre trip which included an enjoyable afternoon tour to the beautiful Walpa Gorge. Our driver/guide was bright and informative and, at the start of the walk, gave us an excellent summary of the area's geographical history using a stick in the sand as a visual aid. During the walk, we let the others go ahead because my dad is 86 and uses a walking stick so we moved slowly and carefully over the rocks, soaking in the scenery before turning back halfway to return to the bus on time. If we had our own car I guess we may have taken our time and completed the whole walk but the shorter distance was probably better for dad and it certainly gave us plenty of terrific views and a great feel for the place with its towering walls. The SEIT office had organised an ipod with italian commentary for my dad but I'd forgotten to tell them he wears hearing aids so he was unable to use it. It didn't matter because I was able to interpret for him anyway. On the way back we stopped at the Kata Tjuta viewing deck for some truly impressive scenery. A lovely tour.

A great 3 hour round trip to see Kata Tjuta and walk up a part of this amazing rock. There were 2 couples and our guide, Charlie, who gave us lots of interesting and informative information about the area, history and culture. We needed to return on time to get to another tour and he was really accommodating to ensure we made it.

We were picked up nice & early ar out hotel & met Aussie Mick who immediately was engaging & we knew we were in for a good day.
He told us very interesting stories the whole way out to Kata Tjuta. We absolutely loved the viewing platform where you could see both Uluru & Kata Tjuta and had plenty of time to soak it all in.
We then made our way to Kata Tjuta where a great brekkie was prepared for us, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea & juice & lovely hot raisin toast. We were able to go for a short walk to get a great view of the domes before going to Walpa Gorge.
It’s definitely a challenging walk not in it’s difficulty or steepness, but the path is rocky & uneven so you must concentrate! It’s also windy (Walpa means windy) so hold onto your hats.
Mick stopped regularly to point out interesting facts about the gorge & its geology & animal & plant life.
We had ample time to take picture’s (he took pictures of us as well) & go at our own pace.
It was an amazing place, we loved it.
On the way back Mick remembered all our questions. Highly recommend this tour & if you can go with Aussie Mick, lucky you!

We took the afternoon tour after flying in from Melbourne. Ellie, our tour guide, drove us out to Kata Tjuta, explains the aborigine culture along the way. Saw a camel along the way. Could only walk halfway into the wind gorge due to the heat.

The Kata Tjuta are incredible and worth seeing up close. The various types of vegetation and the impact of the fires were also explained.
