What to Expect
Begin with convenient pickup at your Ayers Rock Resort, where you board a 4WD vehicle. Enjoy the scenery on the way to the UNESCO-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, looking out for kangaroos and perentie lizards on the way while a guide takes care of the driving. Embark on a guided walk through Walpa Gorge, during which your guide provides commentary on the ancient aboriginal history of the area. Traveling with a small group limited to 11 guarantees that you get personalized attention and plenty of time to ask questions about the local people's beliefs and customs. We had Sol take us to Walpa Gorge from the resort. He was entertaining but the best bit was him explaining how both Kata Tjuta and Uluru came about. That and his camel jokes. Could easily do a larger tour with these guys without issue. Definitely recommended
