      Perfect day at Sydney Harbour
I had a wonderful experience with my friends on a sightseeing cruise at Sydney Harbour, and we made it even better by grabbing some delicious food from Fish Market. The combination of the stunning views and mouth-watering seafood made for an unforgettable day. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Sydney.

      Unforgettable
Nature at its best!!! The friendly, knowledgeable crew persevered until they found a cow and her calf. We followed them for a long time…The show stopper was multiple breaches near the boat!!! A large pod of dolphins joined us for a while too - what more can you ask for! We will definitely choose Whale Tales again. We liked the small group of people and custom built boat allowing everyone to admire these majestic creatures!

Next level outing, The weather was perfect, the harbour boat ride gave us spectacular views of the iconic sights and only 2-3 kilometers out from the heads we saw whales!
North and South bound humpback whales majestically gliding through the ocean. It really is extraordinary that they are so close to Sydney CBD.
A family owned business, the skipper and Mette our whale guide shared valuable information- which I have retained. I think that in itself indicates how special this opportunity is to see and learn about whales at a respectful distance. Enjoy a well appointed boat where you can comfortably move about and interact with other guests.

Fantastic afternoon boat trip aboard the Cheeky Monkey. Smaller size boat than some bigger tours which I preferred. Less than 30 seats so everyone had space to move around to see. We powered out the harbour under the bridge and passed the opera house etc to open water. Only 15 minutes out and we saw two sets of whales tale slapping, diving, surfacing and blowing. Great commentary from our guide who swims and researches whales so could answer all questions. Really great cruise and lovely crew. Just less than 5 stars only because we didn’t see any breaching.

AMAZING day! Rob navigated is straight to a migrating mum & calf who put on an up close show as we followed them down the coast for an hour. Crew was friendly & knowledgeable & I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Finished the day out escorted back into the harbour by a pod of dolphins swimming alongside the boat. Highly recommended for a personal up close whale watching experience

WOW !!!! Our family of five had an incredible experience today on the Whale Tales tour. Very informative and a very memorable and personal experience. Our tour was already over time but when a group of whales were performing some memorable and once in a lifetime photo opportunities our boat stayed on for an extra half hour for us to experience this memorable moment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to go with a small group like this rather than the big boats. A day we will never forget. THANK YOU !!!

We had a great and very memorable time. The skipper/owner was kind enough to stay out a little longer than advertised because we were seeing such a phenomenal interaction between a mother whale and her energetic child. We couldn’t have asked for a better whale watching experience!

Absolutely amazing. Our guide was Meta and skipper was Laurie and honestly I thought they did an incredible job. Their enthusiasm for the whales was infectious, then when we saw them - Crikey. It was moving.

We were warned before going out that the water was rough and we’d get wet but I am so pleased I went. Yes I got soaked but honestly who cares? I saw whales, living and dancing in front of me. Incredible. Half the boat was sick but tbh what did they expect. We were warned and they got on the boat with their lattes…and even that could not detract from the wonder of what we saw.

Our skipper was phenomenal, you could see he really cared about the whales and their safety. And I still can’t believe what we saw. Our guide meta was brilliant and her passion for these beautiful creatures was infectious. I learnt a lot.

I’d love to go again. Thank you. Thank you so much, I loved it.

I did a lot of research on this before I chose who to go with. Whales tales are a family run business and their boat holds 25. This made such a difference. Loved being on a smaller group trip, on my own and at 5ft nothing I would have really struggled to see on some of the other boats judging by how big and full to capacity they were when we were out there. Alongside this, the crew were great, really welcoming and informative. We were so lucky and saw the whales a lot and it was an incredible experience! One I will treasure forever. The crew made sure both sides of the boat got the views and were as interested and as excited as us when we saw the whales breaching etc which was lovely to see they genuinely enjoy it! Cannot recommend them enough, especially as a solo traveller! Absolute 5 star, you are great at what you do and thanks so much for having me!

It was an amazing experience. Our family included 2 teenagers ( age 14 and 17) really have a great time. I am concerned about motion sickness so I called the day before and they gave me helpful little tips ( including no caffeine before the trip, have a light breakfast about 2 hours before getting on board , have savoury crackers etc) which I followed all of them all help to prevent me from having sea sickness on the day. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the guide on board gave us a lot of interesting information about the whales. Shortly after we pass Sydney Heads we saw whales , and we were able to follow one of them for nearly an hour. Would definitely recommend watching whales with the Whale Tales crew!

We had an absolutely fantastic day with Whale Tale Tours. Rob the skipper and owner of the boat really knows his stuff and is a really fantastic guy. An excellent communicator. We were so lucky to have Meda along as our whale expert. She has swam with whales in Tonga. She knows everything about humpback whales and gave us so much information and answered every question that was asked. They were both such nice people. It was warm and friendly and fun!
We enjoyed what must have been one of their best trips out from Sydney on Friday. We saw it all. Whales breaching , fins flapping, blowing off steam, deep diving, the lot. We were so lucky. And most of the activity took place right beside our boat.
To top it all there was a professional wildlife photographer Sam with us on the trip. He captured all the whale breaches in a way that I could only dream about. He was an amazing guy to talk to as well
I went with my wife and our son and his girlfriend. We all had such a great day. We were over 2.5 hours out at sea. We literally had a whale of a day and Robs philosophy of “ never leave a breaching whale behind “ stood us in good stead.
It was a fabulous day with a fabulous team and I will remember if for the rest of my life. We got some great photos and videos to keep the memories alive until we can do it all again
Thank you Whale Tale Tours for an amazing experience.
    A 10/ 10 experience for certain.

Great people, amazing experience. Return customer here! Went with the whole extended family and friends. These guys know how to find whales, be unobtrusive to them, and got us a great view of these wonderful creatures at the same time
