- charlessJ5189WF00Great intro to Australia and to Aussie drinking! This was a superb way to start our trip to Australia! Marco was a great host and took us to a Sydney wine merchant for a broad tasting, then to a funky brewery to a selection of beer tastes, and finally to a gin distillery for some wonderfully creative spirits. The Aussies on the tour with us made the trip since they welcomed two jet-lagged Yanks with open arms!
- 674chelseaa0010/10Marco was a great tour guide! Friendly. Approachable and informative and fun! 10/10 would rebook again!
- alexanderaA3351KG00Amazing! Top Notch! The views were superb, our tour director Matt provided the perfect balance of friendliness, wisdom and humour, every cent spent on this tour was a purchase I’d be happy to repeat!
- K8020PVlenad00Great afternoon of beer tastingAdam was knowledgeable and made the tour so interesting with his fun facts. So many beers to taste and we all enjoyed the variety of flavours. This is a great way to spend and afternoon!
- 589geneneh00Gift for Hubbys 50thI booked this tour for my husbands 50th with 11 of his mates. They had an absolute ball! Andy the guide was heaps of fun, knowledgeable and very professional. My husband was so happy with this gift and said it was the best way to celebrate his big 5.0! All the wives and families caught up with the men on tour afterwards and loved hearing their stories. Highly recommended!
- smrtdrmmr00A great way to sample some smaller breweries and a wide varietyDuring our visit to Sydney, we tried a number of beers, but most from larger distribution-heavy breweries. This tour took us further away from Sydney center to try beers from much smaller breweries. On this trip, our guide took us to Atomic, Batch, and Bob Hawke Brewing. At each, we got to sample five-ish beers ranging in styles and intensities and see some behind-the-scenes action. Each location had its own vibe, and we thoroughly enjoyed all three. Our guide was also incredibly knowledgeable about beers, making them, the Sydney craft scene etc. It was a great tour to experience some of the many great sources of amazing beer throughout the area.
- N2385NKmarkf00Great Sunday afternoonLovely way to spend Sunday afternoon. Learnt a lot about beer, had a nice relaxing time, would recommend for anyone who likes beer. You don't need to be a beer nut to enjoy this.
- mikemK1352HX00Good fun and learnt stuffGood fun, learnt a lot of stuff, tried different beers in the context of what they were, how they were made and how they differ to other beers....overall a very good experience. Rod did a good job balancing history, technical stuff and making it enjoyable.
- chris9200900Awesome Day !Awesome day visiting breweries that not only had great beers but also some history new and old! Colin, our guide, was fantastic and made this repeat visit a pure joy. Will definitely do again when I return in 5 months!!
- TassieHammer00Some great Craft BeersWe had a great day on the Beer and Brewery Tour. We originally wanted the Wine Beer and Spirits, but couldn't be accommodated so the Brewery Tour was offered with no extra cost. They were very helpful in organizing this for us. I'm not much of a beer drinker but I certainly enjoyed most of the beers. We had a great group of people which made it a fun day. Our lunch at the Rocks Brewery was delicious and so was the beer! Our tour guide was Colin and his knowledge of all things beer was outstanding. I now know what beers/stouts have hops and which have barley. Thank you Colin and Daves Tours for an all-round great Day.
- lisammc28500Dave/Greg was the best!We had a great tour with Dave (Greg) through the pubs of The Rocks. He is entertaining and very knowledgeable about both the history of the area and beer. He also went above and beyond to help me with secure a wayward package from a non-responsive Uber driver. Thanks, Greg! Would highly recommend for travelers and locals looking for a fun and informative afternoon.
- Peter T00Hunter Valley Wine and Brewery TourGreat daytrip from Sydney under the excellent control of Crystal. We visited a number of wineries and breweries, all fairly small scale producers. One of the highlights was seeing kangaroos at the first stop. The bus going back was a lot quieter as most of us slept off the excellent wines and beers. Got an excellent lunch of pizza and salad included Would recommend this company as the small group tours suit us. Thanks Again Crystal.
- MandaT1000Beer and gin adventureWe had a great afternoon visiting 2 breweries and a gin distillery in Marrickville. Lots of great information about the history and techniques of brewing and distilling were shared. Plenty of choices to sample at both breweries but the gin was my favourite. Would highly recommend.
- chrisolsen300Fun afternoon in Marrickville BreweriesJust done the Marrickville Craft beer tour with 4 mates. Was a great afternoon visiting 3 different breweries all a short walk apart. Danielle was our "Daves tours" host and she was awesome. As a brewer herself she really knew all about the world of beer making and no question was too hard for her. Would highly recommended as great fun afternoon if you like trying new beers and learning more about beers in general. Cheers
- Go6642877657900Great Brewery tour in Suburban SydneyGreat afternoon out with new friends on the Marrickville brewery tour. Only 10 minutes by train from Sydney CBS. A nice choice of beers and pleasant company and an excellent guided walk from Danielle!

Krystal was absolutely fantastic. She had good tunes, a sense of humor, she knew her stuff, and she totally accommodated my motion sickness and pulled over when I needed to.
Tried some tasty wines, but also got the stories and legends behind their making. Fascinating!
While I can't comment on the cheese and chocolate (I'm dairy free), they must have been good coz my friends were arguing over who got to sit next to me and eat my share 😂
Even lunch was at a lovely place with pizza (chicken wings and salad for me).
I call this a fantastic day out and recommend this tour anytime

Our guide Todd went out of his way to give us the best experience. He stopped for kangaroo photos. When one tasting location was not terrific he made sure to add an additional one that was wonderful. We had a total of 6 wine stops including one for wood fired pizzas that were amazing.
highly recommend this tour and especially Todd

This was a very good wine tasting tour. Firstly it wasn't just wine, it was so much more. For the drive a DJ is chosen (me Tasty Trev) which adds to the trip. No commentary on the way, so depending upon your preference this is either a pro or con. Upon arrival at the first Vinyard a brief history and background of the region is given (expertly I might add, this time by Crystal). Tour of production facility ensues and then tasting.
An excellent day in all, sumptuous lunch, variety in tastings, chocolate comes appropriately immediately following lunch . Shout out to Todd for balancing interaction vs. allowing space for individual exploration within the tourist groups.

It was an amazing trip/ experience. We have had a lot of fun and learned more about wine; especially Australian wines. All wineries we visited offered great wine. Our tour guide, Ander, was amazing!!!! Very knowledgeable! He talked about the history of the region, fun facts and culture of Australia. Lunch was great. It was an amazing day in the Hunter Valley. Hope you enjoy as much as we did. Cheers 🥂

The travel time for this trip is a little uncomfortable to do in one day. I did enjoy the winery tours and tastings but it felt a bit rushed at each stop. There was only enough time to go through the wine selection and then about 5-10 minutes to decide if you would like to make a purchase. The lunch location was at a brewery and it was delicious. The lunch stop did not at all feel rushed and I appreciated that. If you’re okay with spending nearly half of the time in a vehicle, then this tour is okay.

Hi Nathan,
Sorry you didnt enjoy the tour mate.
Unfortunately the Hunter is a long way away from Sydney. Our tour is an 11.5 hour day and about 6.5 hours is spent in the Valley.
Also sorry to hear you felt rushed, but we think 5-10 mins to choose some wines to buy after a 45 minute tasting is plenty. The tour was a Tuesday, so its usually more chilled than the weekend.
Next time you're in Sydney, we can maybe get you on a Sydney beer, wine and spirits tour so you don't have all the travel with all the delicious drink.
Regards,
Gregg

Lovely tour. The pick-up and drop-off process was smooth and convenient, and I enjoyed each winery. Could've done without the gin/vodka stop, but overall had a great time! The winemakers were kind and generous, and thoughtfully explained their chocolate/cheese pairings where applicable. Really fun time!

As a fellow Aussie, this full-day tour was a worthwhile experience that will have lasting memories. A special mention to our tour guide (Collin) who offered great commentary and ensured all of us were enjoying ourselves whist traveling amongst five of his favourite small boutique style wineries and distilleries. All spots had unique varieties of food and beverages which were also available for purchasing. I can honestly say that I’ll be leaving Sydney with a heavier suitcase than I had thought. Overall, it’s highly recommended for anyone who is considering a trip to the Hunter Valley from Sydney without any hassles or stress attached!

Crystal our guide had lost of knowledge and passed on wonderful information throughout the day. Learned so much while at the same time seeing a beautiful area outside of the city and tasting some wonderful wines, cheeses, spirits and chocolate. Crystal was fun and personable and easy going and made the day that much more enjoyable. Lunch was really nice with wood fired pizzas, beautiful salad and....more wine. I am very glad I booked this tour and was able to experience something I will remember forever.

Because of the distance to travel, it was a rather long day. However, the wines offered for tasting were very good (other than the Chardonnays, which neither I or my wife care for). Unfortunately, because were were travelling only with carry-on and live in Ecuador, we were not able to buy a selection to take with us, or have shipped, just one bottle for that evening's enjoyment. However, we were able to get home with one of the very small sampler bottles of the gin.

A wonderful ride through the very scenic Hunter Valley! Yes it starts early in the morning and makes for a long day but so worth it! You’re probably only in Australia once so go for it and tastes some great wines as you learn about them. There’s cheese and chocolates too! Plus lunch. Always bathrooms to use and water to drink. Pit stop for coffee great both ways. The gin and vodka tasting not so great - just weird flavored booze - could leave that out and get back sooner to hotel. Our guide Col was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and funny. We also saw kangaroos on the way!!

Hi, Will be in Sydney for a few days. Sunday is my free day, do you to this tour on Sundays? MY Date is Sept 4th.
Hello, I'm looking at booking this tour in august for my birthday and I'm wondering if it is suitable to bring along a 6 month old baby?
Kerry M

I would say that there wouldn't be a problem at all with a baby.
The only thing would be whether they could accommodate a car seat in the bus??
Hi
Just to know if the duration is six or 11 hours also where are the pick up points ?
Thanks
