      Highlight of our Sydney visit.
Wonderful dinner cruise of Sydney harbor. Larger boat; very comfortable. Good food, good service and beautiful views of Sydney harbor. Highly recommended. Buy up for the premium window seating.

      Sydney harbor’s edge zoo
A nice ferry ride across the harbor with wonderful views of Sydney. The zoo was very nice and we really enjoyed the very close up encounters with the kangaroo’s and Koalas. Take the bus to the top and see the zoo from top to bottom unless you have young, strong legs and don’t mind walking uphill.

How can they run morning ferries when the ticket office does not even open until nearly noon?
Very disappointed with Captain Cook Cruises: their schedule listed ferries running from Circular Quay from 08:00 onward, but their ticket office wasn't even open until nearly 10:00 AM! The entire line of tourists waiting for that ticket office to open grew to a ridiculous size, and the inability to travel at their scheduled times threw off our entire planned itinerary for Watsons Bay and Manly that day. We ended up giving up and took the local fast ferry instead to Watsons Bay; as a plus, it runs on the Opal system so there's a maximum limit on how much we would have to pay for travel that day. However, in order to get to Manly from Watsons Bay, we still had to take a private ferry and that afternoon, it ended up being with Captain Cook Cruises. Payment was simple by credit card. The trip was a bit off schedule (late) but the arrival time was close enough to the schedule. (The trip home to Circular Quay, we were able to take a local fast ferry again from Manly.)

      Great location
Great location Walking distance to cruise terminal and all of Quay Circle. Comfortable rooms and toiletries provided. Just be aware you may have to navigate a half floor of stairs on the 6th and 3rd floor - it connects an addition to the old part of the hotel. Not handy if like us you have heavy luggage

      It’s a gorgeous zoo!
The giraffe exhibit overlooking the harbour was incredible. We also loved the Sumatran Tiger exhibit. Wish you had more koalas!

Very enjoyable cruise with live narration. Considered other line but did not want to fool with trying to listen to scripted talk on my iphone.

      Great boat ride
This harbor boat ride was perfect for us. We got great views of the Opera House and Harbor bridge. We got off at one stop and had lunch at a waterside restaurant. We enjoyed a nice lunch and enjoyed the water front marina. We finished the day with a stop a Tanonga Zoo. The boat was a great way to see the harbor sights as well as get around.

      All hype and no substance
Below average food, terrible drinks selection for non-alcoholic beverages and the music was like nails on a chalk board. The deck hands were lovely, friendly and personable. Better customer service skills than the service staff. Do not recommend, tourist trap for sure.

Just average and expensive for what you get.
Captain Cook 3 hour 3 course lunch.very disappointing, Darling Harbour to Circular quay and return twice. Food was Ok and staff good. You see more with the ferry. Food was just average. Expensive for what you get.

The views from the Harbour were amazing. These are some of the best pictures I have from my trip to Sydney. The boat was on time and clean. The snack were great as well.

Great 4 x Hour Cruise! Great Staff!
Lovely afternoon and a gift from my Daughter and her family in the UK. Great double cruise around Sydney Harbour with a great meal and really friendly staff (including many wonderful Filipinos in the crew - where would medical and hospitality world in particular this world be without the hard working citizens of this nation?) Food was absolutely brilliant. I only had one beer (lunchtime) but being a “Craft” type beer, I am not a fan unfortunately. Vessel is clean (Sydney 2000) is clean, well appointed and well maintained. All in all a lovely 4 x hour cruise.

Good, but could have been better
Worth paying more for a window seat. The 2 course lunch was good, although only a menu choice of 3 per course. As a stranger to Sydney, not knowing the different places we were passing, an occasional commentary would have added to the occasion.

i did not feel that the food was up to standard the beetroot salad was dry and the beetroot was a couple days old. the main course was fish an it was very dry desert was good. i felt we didnt get a lot of the view of the outter part of the ocean the cruise just circled inside the harbour and also came back to base because some people were late so we missed about 1/2 hr of sailing very disapointing

Not what was signed up for
There was no Harbor Cruise, it was an Express w/o a single word from the crew! Zoo was OK but mid day the animals are resting!

We enjoyed our Sydney Harbour Cocktail cruise with Captain Cook! The boat was nice and we had great view seated by the window on the first level. Once we finished our drinks & charcuterie we enjoyed exploring on the outside level & top decks. We chose a time that allowed sunset & night viewing so we were able to see all the different places in 2 settings. The top 2 floors are for the dinner cruises and they had live entertainment (which our package was supposed to include but we just had piped in music). Our booking had us leaving out of Darling Harbour but we stopped to pick up more people at Circular Quey too which added extra time to our trip that we weren’t expecting. Tour said 2 hours but they told us it was going to be 3 back to our original stop. 2 hours was plenty with no dinner, so we hopped off at the other harbor. Considering drink prices in Sydney we thought the value was good for the price.

Hi MeredithTurnbow Thank you for sharing your experience of the Sydney Harbour Cocktail cruise with Captain Cook! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the cruise and had a great view, especially while seated by the window on the first level. Exploring the outside level and top decks after drinks and charcuterie sounds like a fantastic way to make the most of your time on board. It's wonderful that you chose a timing that allowed you to experience both the sunset and night views of Sydney Harbour. We appreciate your feedback about the live entertainment and will ensure to review the details of your package for improvement. We apologize for the unexpected extension of the trip due to additional pick-ups, and we appreciate your understanding. Your comments about the value for the price, considering drink prices in Sydney, are noted. We hope to welcome you aboard again for another enjoyable cruise experience! Best Regards, Captain Cook Sydney Team

Although the weather was atrocious, the staff were highly welcoming and professional. The decor and furniture in the bar was clean and beautifully arranged to make a comfortable and beautiful cruise along the harbour. The food was fairly priced and was served in a beautiful and timely manner. There was plenty of seating space to keep social distancing. And music in the background was well suited to the relaxing boat cruise. Highly recommend and Great for all types of holiday goers of all ages.

The view and the trip itself is great. The food is quite decent as well and the serving staff are really friendly in general as well. However, the seating arrangements are quite poor and overall the senior, managing staff onboard will be quite inflexible as well - you are allocated very specific seat on cruise and it cannot be changed even if you make that request. In addition, depending on type of cruise ticket you signed up for, you may not even have sufficient cutlery, towels or water glasses provide to you and have to chase down staff for simple requests like an empty plate or forks who are flat out serving other tables. Sadly, I cannot recommend this cruise to others and I myself left the cruise halfway.

My partner and I went on the Sunset Cocktail Cruise for my 18th birthday. We had the best time and the crew and staff were very friendly. We order our free cocktails and went up to the top deck to view going under the harbour bridge. We went back downstairs to a beautiful charcuterie board to share (AMAZING). Overall just such a relaxing time and great value for your money. I would 100% recommend going on this cruise.

Boarding process was easy, once we found the ticket office (it was hidden, a bit). Food and beverages were good. Two items kept it from getting a higher value: 1) There was a stage on our deck (cocktails deck, not full meal), but no live music; 2) If there's no live music, some sort of narrative describing items of interest we passed would have been nice.

This tour was one of the first things we did when we arrived to Sydney and it was a great way to see the opera house right from the beginning! We did the 7pm tour and got to see the sunset which was an added bonus.
