Dave delivers once more! A nice mini excursion north of Sydney. Two hour trip, starting in Circular Quay and then a short ride across Harbour Bridge to the bat site. So many bats, I got to borrow Daves camera to take pictures which I then got transferred to my phone. All finished with a beer and nice chats. Definitely worth your time!

Dave is a great guide. We stopped at several scenic spots before our kangaroo and wombat encounters. Dozens of kangaroos and several wombats appeared at dusk. The barbecue dinner was excellent. Be aware that black flies are horrible as dusk approaches and swarm around food. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

I never thought I'd see a flying fox, much less a bunch of them and so close. Dave's tour is absolutely fantastic; he took us to the best vantage points to view the flying foxes and also provided the option to use an excellent digital camera to enhance the experience. The digital camera transfers the pics directly to your phone via blue tooth. You get close enough to get great pics while remaining at a very safe distance. Dave not only knew the best spots to view the bats, but he was also very knowledgeable about them. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend it. Last, Dave was gracious enough to drop my sunglasses by my hotel after leaving them in his van (thanks again, Dave!). Top notch service by a first-class guide!

We did the Wild Bat Photo Experience/Flying Fox Tour (as well as a Wombat Tour (see separate review)) with Dave from Perfect Day Sydney. The morning was cold and drizzly and Dave picked us up. He took us to the bat colony in Sydney, which is located next to a residential area. We could not believe how noisy they were. He took us to prime spots for photographing the Flying Fox (Fruit Bats) and had so, so many subjects to choose from. What was unbelievable to us was that the gross majority of the bats had babies on them. We have so many photos of bats with babies clutching onto their mothers. This was so unexpected and so incredible we were just overwhelmed. Dave is a wealth of information on many kinds of native (and non-native) flora and fauna. He is a fantastic guide. You really need to book this tour. Oh, and watch for several wild cockatoos on the lawns of the railway station. We couldn't believe they're just sitting there grazing, fighting, and mouthing off. Pretty cool.

Dave was very friendly and an excellent tour guide. He was very gracious and a great chef! I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see native Australian wildlife!

Went on both the bats and wombat tours with Dave. Dave is a humorous and friendly guide who goes above and beyond to ensure his guests are well taken care of. He shared great insights on the wildlife and the places we passed by. We had a fantastic time on both trips and were able to capture tons of memorable photos. Highly recommend these tours; the experiences were truly unforgettable!

We saw literally hundreds of flying fox, and even though it was daylight they were active. It was absolutely amazing to see them spread their wings and fly. It was a short tour, not far from Sydney, and I chose to get off in Manly so I could do some hiking.

This is a short visit to see a Flying Fox colony in the suburbs of Sydney. Once again, our guide Dave makes it special with his knowledge, humour and ability to make his guests feel like friends. The colony is huge and the photos spectacular. This is another of those "pinch yourself" experiences where you are experiencing what you have likely only ever seen in documentaries.

This was our second tour with Dave. He is very informative and really nice. The camera he provided was amazing. I am not used to taking photos with the actual camera because normally I just use my phone, but the shots that I took with Dave's camera were awesome. So I highly recommend this tour to anyone. Does not matter if you just want to see the bats, you are a professional photographer or this is your first time using a proper camera. Also, there were way more bats than I expected.

This was by far the highlight of my trip to Sydney! A truly fascinating experience seeing so many beautiful bats in one place! And Dave was an incredible tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for animals and sharing the beauty of this country with others. He was full of valuable information about bats and fun to be around as well! Calling all bat enthusiasts!!! This is the tour for you. If you love bats then this tour cannot be missed. You will be up close to thousands of grey headed flying foxes which can only be seen in Australia. Dave, your tour guide, has digital cameras which will enable you to see and capture every nuance of these magnificent creatures. We watched them interact with each other and learned about the hierarchy of their places in the trees. We even saw one climb up the trunk of the tree with his hands until he found a spot where he was accepted by those around him. This is not a tour where you just see sleeping bats hanging from trees. These bats watched our every movement, interacted with each other and even took flight to move to other trees. And no worries if you don’t know much about bats because Dave is a wealth of information about these flying foxes and you will come away from this experience with a greater knowledge and appreciation for them. I wish I could give this tour more than 5 stars!!!

We had the absolute pleasure of taking a bat tour with Dave, who is one of the most knowledgeable and informative tour guides we have ever met. We had previously taken his kangaroo and wombat tour, and we were so impressed with his knowledge and passion for wildlife that we knew we had to book his bat tour as well. We were not disappointed! There were thousands of grey-headed flying-foxes hanging from the trees, crawling up branches, and flying around! What an amazing sight!
